I want this on record

So it has come to my attention that apparently people are having an issue with @alicemoonwonderland, for something about credit on her stories. She has always, always, given credit where it was due. She has never taken credit for something that was not hers. 

Now, those stories that people are complaining about were written with me.

They were rp:s between her and me, and I gave her my explicit consent to post those stories without crediting me.

She did credit me in the beginning. But I noticed no one that read it cared, and just commented that she alone had done a good job. So I decided to not be credited anymore as it didn’t really matter and just presented her with more work. You should’ve seen the fight that broke out, because she wanted to credit me. In the end, I won out cuz I’m a stubborn ass.

But it pisses me off that you guys are mad at her for “not crediting” when you guys don’t really care anyway. You never gave me a single thought. All the comments were about her, even though we even co-wrote some pieces, which it explicitly stated in the beginning. So do not bitch about credit, and then don’t care about the credited person. It makes you look like a hypocrite.

Besides, something has been ticking me off for the longest of times. If I were to write a story about birds attacking people, should I credit my idea to Hitchcock? I have never seen or read his work, I only know of it because of simple general knowledge. You want to know the answer? No I would not credit him. An idea is not something you have ownership of. You want to write about birds killing people, then be my guest. I’m pretty sure no one is gonna attack you for it. So why do you guys, here on Tumblr, attack people for “not crediting” you, if you mention something, maybe even in only passing, that spawns an idea? Because honestly, it’s bloody ridiculous and should stop. Calm your validation needs and realize that a fic on a website won’t make you great. It won’t make you feel better, or make your life brighter. It’ll just make you a bitter person, that plagues others. 

So stop. 

Perhaps it’s my age speaking, but I’m starting to miss the way fandom used to be fifteen years ago. Mostly since back then the concepts of ‘darkfic’ and ‘don’t like, don’t read’ were properly understood and adhered to (usually). The situation with darkfics was interesting in particular, because the entire premise was that the author could write incredibly fucked-up things, with the understanding on their part that shit was indeed very messed-up and with no pretense to the contrary (what usually gets termed ‘romanticization’ these days).   Now? You’ve got to run an entire rigmarole of explaining the difference between romanticization and just straight-up exploring a horrible dynamic in writing as, you know, a writer. And even after that, you’ll probably have to deal with the whole invasive ‘explain every trauma you might’ve gone through, so strangers who otherwise don’t care if you exist can decide if they give you Permission to use writing as a coping mechanism’ mess. Fucking hell.

I’ve said it before. Learn to tell the difference between fantasy and reality. Learn to tell the difference between what someone explores on the page as a writer and what that same person believes and advocates in their day-to-day life. 

This will always be my favorite gifset.

The day of valentines day and your lovable hero was being away for a mission. You knew dating a glaive would be rough and he warned you over and over again. He hated how when planned for dinner or just a chill day, he had to cancel due to work. You played your part well saying Crowe would gladly fill his part on the couch..but he knew you were lying. The slight change in your octaves, the way you kept changing the subject, he knew your lyrics too well. Yet you played your part well. You’d say,

“It’s alright, sometimes life happens..”

But nyx wouldn’t let you say it this time. You layed sat up in your bed while nyx sat close to you. His back at you as he stared into the wall. The room felt so heavy and dreary like right before the storm.

“Hey..y/n i know.. You say things happen, you push it off and try to act like your not hurt but you are i know that. I feel the hurt everytime i have to cancel because of damn work.. I can’t stand to see you like this.. I love you more than anything in this world. I’d conquer all of the empire if i could, take the empires leader by the throat to king regis.just to emd the war but in reality i can’t. I feel like I’m hurting you more than I’m loving you. I’m here every so often to send a text, snuggle next to you when your sleeping and attempt to burn down your kitchen. But what have i given you? How much more of this can you take before there’s nothing left to say?.. I can’t keep hurting you..but i don’t wanna say goodbye.”

Nyx was now looking at you his heart melting infront of you. But he wasn’t lying, how much more could you take? You didn’t want to say goodbye either, he was your world and so much more. He was with you when you lost your dog, when your ex cheated on you, when your car broke down and through so much more. Gripping your blankets in your hand you tried to fight back the tears but everything just flowed out. All those missed dates, anniversaries, cuddle moments ruined, promises broken it all came pouring out.

“I-I know okay..i get it.. But its not like you did it on purpose, can you honestly say you missed those days on purpose? ”

“No..”

“Plus you warned me again and again it would be hard. Yes its hard but its not impossible.. because i know one day this war will be over and you’ll be home not fighting. It hurts not having you on the days i really wanted to, but I’m not letting you ditch me just because you want to date your job more than me .”

Nyx chuckled as he leaned against you, his hands wrapping around your waist as he pulled you into him. Burrying your face into his chest you tried to hide the remainder of your tears that didn’t want to stop falling but you were never good at hiding things from him. Nyx pulls away and cups your face in his hands, and his dark blue steel eyes drowning in your eyes.

“Your not hiding your tears from me this time love..”

Nyx pressing his lips against your cheek, then licks a tear off your face. You immediately push away embarrassed,

“Nyx you dork! Wha-”

Your cheeks now rose bud kissed, while nyx is laughing just chukled at your response. You grab a pillow and snack him with it and try to walk away but he grabs you by the waist pulling you onto him.

“Nope your not getting away from me, hehe not on my day off.”

You throw nyx a confused expression,

“You said you had a mission?”

“I did..but I called in a favor, it was a stupid mission anyway. Plus i have something important i have to handle.. Its valentines day right?”

Nyx grabs a piece of chocolate out of his coat pocket and sticks a piece of chocolate in his mouth. His cocky smile wide and proud,

“Hope I’m not a sucky present for you love? I know I’m not good at keep my word. But I’ll make it up to you.”

Tucking a piece of hair behind your ear you smile,

“Your here now and thats all that matters, though i wish you’d added a bow to yourself..”

Your foreheads meets as nyx pulls you closer to him,

“Love, my bow are my clothes…just saying. Plus extra. ”

Blog Start!

Rightos, since people seem to want an ardyn yescon week, it shall be a thing!

Currently don’t have a definitive date, but I’m thinking late March/early April.  More exact date will be determined later (in part bc i’m hoping we’ll get news about Ardyn DLC that might influence it lol)

In the meantime, let’s open things up to some Prompt Suggestions!  Send this blog an ask with an idea (or several) for a prompt, it’ll be cataloged, and if need be there’ll be some voting to help narrow things down!
