-Team Prime thought they had enough on their hands when Ratchet was on Synth-En, but with the two of you flirting back and forth? Talk about never ending!!!
-It all started out innocuous enough; Ratchet walked up to you, clicked his glossa, and asked you, “How’s it hummin’?” With some finger guns included. It was enough to make the rest of the base stop in their tracks just at that comment.
-But when you fired back with a “Hummin’ pretty well, but only for you, hot stuff,” with absolutely no hesitation, the entire base was at a loss for words. Except for Ratchet, who smirked, his optics glowing brightly.
-It quickly turned into a competition; even though the rest of the team would object to the quickly devolving dirty talk (Optimus himself had to step in when Ratchet said “Keep that up, and we may have to take this to the berth~”), there was no stopping the two of you.
-You two would stand there for almost 3 hours, just going back and forth between, each line more flirtatious than the last.
-Eventually, Ratchet won, by delivering the raunchiest one yet- “Since you’re so full of talk, I should shove my spike in your intake to silence you.”
-The base was so silent that you could hear a pin drop, then the soft whirr of your cooling fans kicked up. Despite your best efforts, you were blushing like hell and at a loss for words.
- Ratchet grinned like a Cheshire Cat and picked you up to take to the berth.
-That dirty talk wasn’t the last you would hear that night, but the rest of the base was traumatized for weeks.

Look obviously that happened many many times, usually with misogynist or ableist teachers. But I have a BETTER story than that, which is that when I was in 3rd grade, I went to this tiny alternative hippy school—it was a regular public school, it was just small and staffed/run by hippie communists—and my 3rd grade teacher was a woman who had been in an organization with my mother, and they had done direct action together more than a few times. We’ll call her D. One day I was sitting in D’s class, eight years old and bored out of my mind, and I scratched my name into the back of my plastic chair with a rock. Was this reasonable behavior? No. Why did I do it? Only the gods can say. I don’t actually remember doing the scratching, I just remember looking at the rock in my hand and my name on the chair and going, “HUH. That’s not good.” So obviously I got caught, bc I couldn’t reasonably convince anyone that I wasn’t the one who had done it, since it was MY NAME, and as punishment for this act of arbitrary vandalism I was sentenced to recess detention for two weeks. It was October so this included Halloween. Halloween, to be clear, is a high holy day in San Francisco, and I was devastated to miss the informal festivities that would be occurring at recess that day, and I wept and wailed about this at home for some time until my mother decided that this was disproportionate punishment and took it into her own hands to do something about it. So my mom walks into D’s office on a day when my mother does not have to be at work at a scheduled time, but D has to get her students from the yard in about ten minutes, and my mom sits down and says to her old friend and comrade, “Miranda is really upset about having detention on Halloween.” And D explains to my mother why the detention was issued, what the circumstances were, and my mother nods, and listens, and doesn’t argue, and doesn’t show any sign of getting up from her chair. And just says again “She’s really upset about having detention on Halloween.” And D looks at my mother, and she looks at the clock in her office, which is telling her that she has to be on the yard in 2 minutes now, and then looks at my mother again, who shows no sign of having anywhere to be, my mother with whom D has organized and successfully executed multiple sit-ins and takeovers of government & corporate offices, and D says, “Okay, she doesn’t have to have detention on Halloween.”

Art forgery is the best crime tbh. It requires absolutely incredible artistic talent, technical skill, and attention to detail to make convincing fakes. Does anyone get hurt from it? No! The only people who suffer for it are the extremely wealthy who want the prestige of having original paintings in their own homes. It’s full of international intrigue and mystery. Perfect.
Also… art forgers like van Meegeren sometimes become a kind of folk hero. A swindler, sure, but a gentleman’s swindler.
I liked this guy’s story, Mark Landis, who conned several dozen museums into displaying his forgeries, but when the FBI came after him they couldn’t do anything because he had always given them away as donations. They said if they could have found that he’d ever taken anything in exchange they would have prosecuted him, but all he wanted was get to out of the house and meet people.
“The first painting Landis “donated” was a copy of a work by Maynard Dixon, an artist well-known for his paintings of cowboys and Indians. the way that post isnt even a criticism of the person’s technical skill… like if anything the artist is obviously skilled so they are perfectly capable of doing better and making the decision not to “correct” people’s real life features like that to fit their personal (eurocentric, misogynistic) tastes. sure its not as big a deal for one artist to do this as it is for like, billion-dollar companies like disney or blizzard, but it’s still worth addressing individual examples. like actually leaving out the source for that post and drawing attention to the harmful trope present in the art instead was the more reasonable decision considering that “calling out” the artist might have gotten them more negative attention than was warranted for this situation when the problem at hand is much bigger than this one specific person.

This was not meant to “call out” the artist. I did not want to be confrontational. I specifically made sure to post a drawing with a watermark if someone really needed to look up the artist.
But also, even if I contacted them directly? Do you really honest to god think they’d give a shit? They’re a famous russian instagram artist. They’re clearly very skilled, skilled enough to be able to paint Sigourney Weaver’s likeness, but painted her like some instagram model anyway. Because that’s what makes them shit tons of money.
