Well, Never thought I'd see a Rich Baldroy. Twst Spoilers. Kuroshitsuji spoilers.

So when Yana-sensei was bragging about the fact that she was now happy that she was able to make Baldroy look his age (40s), I didn't realize that part of the reason why was because she was using him as the base for Vil's Dad Eric Venue. I mean...Come on, this one is obviously the inspiration, and when I saw this I was both laughing and crying, because if you know anything about Baldroy's history at this point, you'll know that his past is full of heart break. So to see a look alike, with a son, and seemingly happy, it just warms my heart.

Also does this mean that the younger version looked more like her earlier designs of him, as she couldn't draw, as she said, middle aged people.

On a side note, I still think the rule applies to Vil here as it does to Malleus, and probably every other male character in Yana's stories. The boys will always look like their mom's, with some characteristics of their fathers. (Ex. Ciel has his mother's eyes, but has Vincent's hair and some of his aspects. Edward has his mother's facial features, but his father's blonde hair.) (Ex. Malleus and his mother, Deuce and his mom). While the girls will always look like their fathers (Ex. Lizzie looks more like her dad than her mom, but she has her mom's hair style. We haven't seen a lot of girls in Black Butler, nor Twst, So I can't point to anyone just yet in regard to the similar rules from there.)

So while Vil has Eric's brows and laugh, his over all look gives me the feeling that he looks more like his mother than his father, and since Eric is kind of a George Clooney/Cary Grant, we age gracefully type, and more rugged looking than Vil, it might explain why he got cast more in certain types of heroic roles, as Vil has the "love Rival jerk" type posh face that so many romantic movies tend to play with.

Maui in Hawaii

best times to visit Maui are April through May and September through November. The spring and fall shoulder seasons provide the pleasant weather Hawaii vacationers seek without the high rates and heavy crowds that accompany the summer and winter. However, if you're into surfing, you'll want to travel in the winter for the best conditions.your could go do there snorkeling tours as According to travelers, setting aside a morning or afternoon to explore Maui's underwater creatures is an unforgettable experience. And most enjoyed their day on the water, including the boat ride to the snorkeling spots, saying the scenery added to their experience.

Your could also go too Napili Bay Beach is particularly popular with families. Napili's waters are much calmer than those at other Maui beaches, so kids and adults alike can take to the seas for swimming, paddleboarding and boogie boarding

Can we talk about these two images! Hand offerings.

So in the recent Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler Chapter, there was an interesting image of both Doll and O!Ciel holding out their hands to Snake.

What's interesting to me is the choice of hands being held out and why they're important.

In the image, because of the way we're looking at it it seems like Ciel is offering his left hand and Doll her right.

The Right hand meaning = a place of honor and status, the favored hand of god, as well as the rational, conscious and logical, as well as aggressive and anxious, and connected to the idea of benevolent white magic.

The Left hand meaning = the hand of judgement, weakness, decay, death. Connected to intuition and also dark magic.

Thus one would think, oh it's implying that taking Ciel's hand means he was shaking the wrong hand.

But this would be WRONG!

We're looking at it from Snake's POV. So in reality...

Ciel is holding out his RIGHT HAND, while Doll is holding out the LEFT HAND.

We see this again with Doll in another shot from Chapter 208 a bit later in Snake's memory.

In both cases Doll is holding out the left hand to Snake, indicating that the offering is a less then ideal one. As we see, Snake witnesses them taking the kids, but he doesn't say a thing or question it, and it's the same later on during the Circus arc.

O!Ciel on the other hand gave him his right hand, showing trust and that he was being honest even though he was lying. What he told Snake was what he wanted to do, let them go, let the Circus people leave, because in the end even he knew they were victims. He could have easily had Sebastian kill them all there at the circus.

But he didn't, his goal was Kelvin. So he gave Snake a story to give him hope (as he said "say a lie enough and it becomes real (or the truth)").

It's interesting to note that even though the circus crew was friendly with Snake, getting him a costume, and other things, we've seen that he still was an outsider. He was kept in his own tent, away from the others. He was still being put on display, even though it was in a circus, it's still being put on display.

OCiel and the servants on the other hand, made him part of their group. He went with them, they all road in the same cart. On the Campania Ciel even told him he doesn't care what others think of who he associates with.

We also see in the naming of Snake by Joker that it's so very different than Ciel giving Finny his name.

For Snake, Joker just calls him what he looks like. Dagger even asks why, and Joker says he's bad at naming. Jumbo gives better consideration to naming the snakes than Joker did in naming Snake.

O!Ciel on the other hand takes the time to consider a name for Finny, and gives him not only the name of his favorite hero, from his favorite book, one that holds a lot of significance to him both now and in the past, but (if you hold to the theory that O!Ciel's real name is Finnian) then he's giving Finny his NAME. He's sharing a huge part of himself with Finny.

(You can also point out that Ciel doesn't call Mey-Rin Owl, he only calls her by her real name, showing that he respects her as her own individual person.)

To me that image, I think, is showing readers that there's more connections and a deeper bond with O!Ciel and the Phantomhive Servants, with Snake than he had with the circus, even though he thinks there is a strong bond there.

So about Snake...

Been thinking about this since before 207. In the stories of Fionn one of his ablifrom the salmon of Knowledge was his ability to heal. By scooping water into his hand he could give it to a person and they could drink that water and be healed.

My thoughts: the other black maid, who seemed sad about all of this, is probably the person coming down might be her. What if Finny can give Snake his blood. Symbolic drinking the water and she helped the same way Ada helped Bard with Lau.

Artwork done by some amazingly talented artists for A Phantomhive in Night Raven College.

Ciel and Riddle

It wasn’t long before all five Heartslaybul students were dead asleep in the lounge. Riddle had tilted Ciel down to lay towards him as he laid the opposite way, with their foreheads touching gently, and the young Earl clinging to Grim. As he slept, the gray haired boy had a small smile on his face, and, once again, no nightmares of the past came to bother him in his sleep.  -Chapter 121

Lizzie and Ciel with Grim and Perrie, also done by @cookie--art

For @darkspellmaster's TWST x Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji fic:

(made with Picrew)

The Earl Ciel Phantomhive (I know his hair is grey, but I grew up with Blue Haired!Ciel from the anime and the picrew doesn't have a grey hair option.) Ciel's magical pen gemstone is blue to mimic the Blue Phantomhive Ring (and because blue is basically his color). I also made his right eye pinkish to mimic his Faustian contract (again, inspired by the anime). And the game has no eye patch option, so that's out.

(Spoilers below. Read with caution.)

I have to say this is some amazing art. Thank you so much for this! When I saw this my mind went OMG! I'm crying here thank you so much for liking my story enough to make these.

I hope the details come out. But this is a scene from my fanfiction. "A Phantomhive at Night Raven College" that you can find on AO3.

Drawn by Akari! Thank you so much for the fan art of these two cuties sleeping like brothers.

Once inside, Riddle turned down the covers and motioned for Ciel to pick a side. To Riddle’s surprise, he went on the side with the lamp. The crimson-haired Housewarden chuckled.

“I was expecting you near the clock, since you seemed interested in it.”

Ciel shook his head. “I always sleep on the right side of the bed.”

The young Earl climbed in after neatly laying the robe around the post near the footboard, and setting the borrowed slippers to the side, and leaving on the eyepatch, just in the event Riddle noticed something odd. The mattress was soft and warm, and he decided once he had the money, that would be one of the items he was going to purchase for his bedroom.

Why is Snow White your favourite Disney Princess?

I think becuase for me, Snow has always been someone who can get knocked down and get back up. Much like Tiana. she's someoneone that always seems optimistic, in the face of fear and uses her willingness to help out others to make them happy. She's trusting of others.

I don't know how to explain it. Just she makes me happy, and I think that's part of it. ^_^

Episode 7 spoiler: Sebek and his grandfather but not really + wiki

Agree, it seems like she's connecting it to the Barusuchus.

Just adding to this, Baul is also a word from Bangladesh.

The origin of the word Baul is debated. Some modern scholars, like Shashibhusan Dasgupta have suggested that it may be derived either from Sanskrit word vātula, which means "enlightened, lashed by the wind to the point of losing one's sanity, god's madcap, detached from the world, and seeker of truth", or from vyākula, which means "restless, agitated" and both of these derivations are consistent with the modern sense of the word, which denotes the inspired people with an ecstatic eagerness for a spiritual life, where a person can realise his union with the eternal beloved – the Moner Manush, who lives in the heart).[7]

One thing to note is Yana does have access to research regarding Soma, and this could be a connection too. Depends on what she wants the name meaning to be.

Something I still don't get about TWST? Why does Vil have platinum blonde hair if he's twisted from the Evil Queen? The Evil Queen is usually played by an olive-skinned actress with black hair and green eyes. Vil is the exact opposite. He has blonde hair and violet eyes. I'm just left wondering where Yana pulled the design inspo for that one, since it seems so bizarre to me.

My guess is she's was drawing from a few places:

First it's more than likely the colors. Blonde/yellow and purple go well together.

Second, looking at him he kind of has a mix of some of her other characters, like Edgar Redmond, and Viscount Duritte, for example. I think she likes the idea of a pretty blonde looking idol.

Third I think she's being inspired by the idol scene and there's a desire for some idols to have lighter colored hair. I also suspect there's probably a actor or character that she was thinking about when designing him. There's a lot of idols that have lighter colored hair or going into blonde looks, I think it's trendy.

In addition, Vil being blonde and very pretty fits into the stereotype of the bitchy mean girl, which he can play against the grain as he wants to be the hero. Look at a lot of movies and tv series and romantic shows, you'll see typically the blonde character is usually the bad choice while the darker haired character is the every day hero. So I think that's part of it. I think that's part of it at least. I can only surmise what she's thinking. I wish I had the art book so I can read her damn notes.
