I just went through the swanfire tag and saw the “spoiler” about Neal but I won’t get my hopes up. I’ll get excited about Neal IF I see him on my screen. These people tease a lot of stuff that never materializes in the show. Two prime examples: Will Scarlett in S4 and Rumple’s mother in S5 (although that might come into play the 2nd half). 

i really want it to be Neal Cassidy

“Police Your Fandom” they say as:

1. they make a manip contest to exclude a character many like “because he takes away from the leads” despite Elsa and Zelena (non-leads) getting their own promo posters for S3 and S4

2. Constantly call Hook/CS fans rape apologists and “uneducated teens”

3. Openly promote division in fandom and encourage others to “push CS out of the fandom”

4. Continually call CS shippers of the LBGT community homophobic and traitors if they like CS more than a F/F or M/M ship

5. Continually harass actors/actresses/writers/creators of the show… going as far as slander against JMo(calling her homophobic) despite there being NO PROOF but since its an “inside source” then of COURSE its true (what?!)

CS is told again and again to police their fandom by people who need to be policed themselves…

this is a cycle that happens again and again… OQ got this hate in S3-S4… even Rumbelle got some hate in 4B…. its a revolving door of hate in this fandom that wont stop until the series finale if not even later

nobody even apologized after the repeated accusations against Captain Swan being accused again and again of hacking and deleting an account that turned out to be fake and ran by the actual “hacker”…

i did read your post, but you either clearly have not read any of the posts you are responding to or are maliciously distorting them. 

one: the manip contest is a response to that character taking over the entire show, to the detriment of every other character including the one you ship him with. if Elsa or Zelena had taken over the entire show, probably people would  have been mad about that too.

three: no one is  “pushing CS out of the fandom.” people are discussing a sense that with about three exceptions CS have departed the fandom and have neither desire to be civil across ships nor care for any other aspect of the show but Hook. high count CS bloggers have in fact apparently directly said they do not care to be part of the fandom.

five: criticism is not harassment, and here’s your proof that JMo said something homophobic:

someone recently did a post of screentime in 5A and Hook barely beat out Regina. BARELY. Hook isn’t “stealing the show” its just his time to shine. u know how many centric episodes he’s had? 5. only 5… Regina, Rumple, and Snow have had MANY more than that. 

Hook is one of the main characters (not lead, but a main, like henry and charming)

Colin was made a series regular before his first episode even aired

its about time that people realize Hook is a part of the show, he will have promotional posters, he will have arcs… its just going to happen!

do you know why Regina, Rumpel, and Snow get centrics? because (with Emma) they are the leads. Hook was not a lead until they took JMo’s arc away from her and gave it to Colin because they didn’t have the guts to make their blonde lady hero evil. they responded to focus groups just like they did when they saw Colin was liked. but he should never, as a secondary character, have more importance than the leads. even Sean Maguire understands men are secondary in this story.

ive talked to rumbelle, oq fans, and other SQ fans that had NO problem with this post… the handful that do? need to check themselves and think why a fandom spread post about CSers being upset over being told to police themselves when others dont, is offensive to them…

Oh I assumed this was about SQ since I only go through the SQ tag and I haven’t seen many people outside SQ making those covers and stuff (even though you understood it all wrong). It’s kinda surprising how you are a SQer yet you seem to misunderstand what we did. Do you go through the tag? Because what I see the fans doing there is way different from what you see. Strange… And since you are a SQer you should now that we police our own fandom quite a lot. We never tell CSers to police their fandom and not do it for our own/

obviously ppl arent going to see eye to eye… but just ask urself this… if the 5B poster had been Regina… and a CSer or Rumbelle fan said “so sick of regina! lets make an anti-regina contest bc shes taking over the show! make a new poster but no regina allowed bc she wrecks the show!”

How would u feel? If u say “thats fine” then okay, i believe u, and when/if the time comes when that actually does happen, remember u said u’d be okay with it…
