I wish Hindublr and Desiblr could be normal when it comes to literally any anti-caste statement/philosophy/movement/idea. Some of you guys harp on about how you're beyond caste and talk about decolonising but the minute a person expresses even a hint of anti-caste sentiment you start calling them "anti-hindu". The decolonising begins with the personal, my friends, and if you cannot handle the most milquetoast of ideas or criticism, I don't think you're going to survive this decolonisation movement that you claim to care so much about.
P.S. MOST of you don't even know that what you're hating on is part of the anti-caste movement and that's embarrassing. I used to think that with time you'll learn or at least read up on it even if you disagree with the movement but no. This is willfull ignorance now and it's not cute.

the 8th / 9th avatar of vishnu is such a brain wrecking question for me personally bc i don’t see the buddha as an avatar at all, but i also strongly hold on to the belief that balarama is an avatar of sheshanaga instead of vishnu
also I’ve read people say that when they refer to the Buddha as an avatar, they’re not referring to gautama buddha but a buddha before him? but there’s so little known about that buddha too so 🤷🏽♀️

as a diaspora kid i’m liek 90 percent sure this blog has done more good for my relationship with hinduism than any actual hinduism group in the us. thanks for that
The more I learn about Hinduism groups in the US of A, the more convinced I become that the majority of them are either just hindutva groups or hindutva-lite groups designed to induct people into the former. Are the diaspora/NRIs okay? I hope people know that they can love and practice their religion without becoming hindu supremacists.
We never intended for it to be hindu blog or anything, we just liked some literature and wanted to share some of what we love, that's all. I'm glad people find it helpful, though. 💕
