1) Hmm I'd say there is no such thing as /not/ affected by Yoongi's pull, it's stronger than a human's instinct or gut feeling and heavily influences a person's free will to the point where all human beings will want to see where the sound comes from (kind of like a siren's song) and once they see him they're hooked, stuck like a fly in a spider's web :) he has never not gotten what he wanted!

2) Good question! That would actually be really cute, like a little family, but for the sake of the plot i'm going to say no, because his life is cursed to be tragic and being able to reproduce would mean he would be alone much less than what Aphrodite wanted as his (parents') punishment

The ending of Nocturne was indeed meant to be ambiguous, though I left clues here and there throughout the story to speak to the reader’s own imagination or to help them in a certain direction! That said, I do have my own version of the ending that’s still implied in what i wrote.

You can compare Yoongi in this story to a kind of siren, luring humans in with his voice and trapping them there with him forever (or until their mortality catches up on them). His intentions are not exactly evil or malicious, but they are selfish. Y/n here was enthralled by his voice and his beauty and wanted him on her own accord, but he made sure she’d never leave the second her lips touched the lotus petals to drink from the water. From that moment on she was trapped by her own feelings of love and desire, her sense of time and space are gone and she never even wants to think about leaving. It’s like he’s a beautiful spider who made a web of gold and honey, where the fly wouldn’t even notice the impending danger because it believes it’s in paradise.

“If only” said he, because he wished they could be together for as long as he exists, but he knows it’s not possible because he is immortal and humans are not. Y/n mentioned she’d be hungry for as long as there are courses, but she’d never see the end of them before she dies. So basically, he keeps every human young and beautiful and next to him, loves them and cares for them, but he knows their days are numbered, in the end, and so another soul (y/n) will never leave this forest again. And yet, like you said, it’s an infinitely better fate for her than the alternative 😂 i mean I wouldn’t be mad either if it was me lmao sign me up for that!
