Do you ever start a rewrite of a show you’ve been wanting to do for like, a year, but then you’re a chapter and a half in and you’re like, “oh shit maybe I’m doing this wrong, I’m basically just novalising the series shit I’m not making the changes I need to make oh God I don’t know what I’m doing fuck fuck fuck” help

In my opinion, it's ok to novelise the series as long as it makes you happy! It's what I've been doing for years (I add my OC's into it) and I've found it very relaxing because you can make it as self-indulgening as you want. You can write however you wish as long as you're proud of your work, screw what everyone else thinks of it!
