Love when writers do an insane amount of unnecessary research for their fics. I follow an author that did like 8 months of intense research into 14th century Scotland so they could write smut about it, and guess what. It was some fucking incredible porn AND I learned about old Scottish politics

Ahhh, sweet anon! I feel your pain, since I started writing May I when I was 15 and am now 27. Time is wild.
I DO plan to update and finish the fic out. I know my long time readers (like you, lovely) are aware of my slow writing ability. I know I've said the same thing for years, but I will absolutely complete this fic no matter what. I still hold great affection for both the ship, the fics, and the fandom.
It is with hesitance that I admit the last 2yrs of my life took a very rough turn, and has been the worst time of my life. I've been dealing with a lot of grief, health issues, and bad luck that has taken a toll on my creativity as a whole - hence the lack of fic & art updates at all. I've recently been trying to get my feet under me, only to have the rug ripped out yet again. I know that's life, but it doesn't make it any easier.
I have not forgotten about May I, or any of my fics - actually, I've been unable to think of anything else some days - and have no intention of abandoning any of them. I do not expect you or any other readers to continue to wait any longer, especially after waiting literal years already, nor will I blame any of you for dropping my fics to the wind and moving on. I am grateful for the time and interest you've already given, and I cherish your support with every word I manage to squeeze out.
I am very thankful for my readers and those who have stuck around for my stories all these years. You're the reason I am pursuing writing actual novels. It truly means the world. Thank you. ❤
