and-shes-gooooone said: it's really cute!!! but the fact that markiplier is in it sours it for me a bit :v

If it helps he's only a VA and his character doesn't have any substantial dialogue. Mostly just vocal grunts and the like. I personally don't care much for him, there's just a big "meh" in place of any actual emotions.

U heard about the drama for the new show yet? I was surprised that they got lemonteaflower as a storyboard artist for it, thought she wasn't coming back after she deleted

I've heard a bit about it, though I don't really wanna draw attention to the mess. People are already talking about it and I'd rather focus on the show itself. I hope it gets greenlit, honestly. The style and the animation could provide some much needed variety to CN right now. Plus I'm a sucker for this kind of aesthetic, I'll fully admit. Gives me Courage or Billy and Mandy vibes.

Woah, they really did an awesome job storyboarding him, every pose is so darn specific, I love it.

I wish “Villainous” was an actual show, I think it has potential. I’m not a fan of creepy-spooky stuff, but I think many people would give it a chance, it has a Billy and Mandy vibe on it that reminds me of the gold CN era. I hope CN was a little bit more experimental in terms of genres, everything is so “pretty and funny” these days…

Also this was made for mexicans so, Im pround of them :)

Yaaay latinooos <3

Ok but there's also hardly any Greg Universe fan art??? It kinda bothers me since he's a good character and he deserves it tbh

I've seen some art of him make the rounds! Not a huge amount but since making that post on Uncle Jontron I've literally only seen one piece of art with him in it. It's kind of astounding and really indicative of the impact he had. None, really. Anyone who brings him up usually hates him.

It’s quite telling that I haven’t seen any art of Uncle Andy since his debut. The only time I ever see people talking about him is when they’re critiquing or complaining about Gem Harvest.

i feel this so much. he’s not a bad guy at all. just someone who has different views and wanted his family together. he’s honestly one of the better human characters

um bitch Excuse me?

i thought he was a good character tbh. like yeah he was racist to the gems but he was a nice guy who likes his family and didnt wanna change.

"Sure he was racist, but..." is probably not the statement you want to lead with when trying to convince people a character is good.

Okay so I was totally right about the televised promo being a really poor decision on CN’s part and keeping the far better promo online.

The last bomb was had some really damn low views, with 2 of them being below 1 million and the other 3 barely scrapping past it (the lowest was 0.95 and the highest being 1.14).

The promo for the next bomb (???) is so much better but I really don’t understand why CN wanted to mislead the audience

Because they’re incompetent.

You guys are stupid, there is a reason why the two promos were do different. The online promo was made for the hardcore fans. People already looking at SU stuff outside of watching the cartoon, while the television promo was made for people not yet watchers of the show. Sure they have a decent sized fan base but they’re is no reason to not and try to expand it. You didn’t like the tv promo because it wasn’t made for you, it was made for people not acquainted with SU.

Well if the ratings are dropping then it looks like that attempt at expansion isn’t working. That’s not the only reason though, I’d chalk that up to the fact that there’s leaks practically every time something is about to air and the fact there’s no consistency in the scheduling whatsoever. None of is new either, these have been problems for a good while.

Well you can’t really tell if they’re explanding or not, considering I’m pretty sure more and more of the ‘real’ fans are probably watching the leaks online instead of TV. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As for the scheduling and leaks, I agree that’s pretty shitty on their end.

bismuthspartnerincrime gave the ratings but okay.

I'm glad we agree on something at least. I apologize if this seemed more ornery or blunt then some other posts of mine, I'm not in a great mindset for personal reasons. I'll probably just leave the discussion at this so we don't extend this longer then it needs to be. Thank you for discussing this with me a bit and I hope you have a good night.

The current problem with SU is that the gems don't talk, communicate and all of the etc.. involved anymore. Because Steven is suddenly that little mouse cursor icon u can c on your computer screen, that when you drag said icon (I. E. Steven btw) onto one of the gems in the background and ever so gently *click * on 1 or 2 of em then that is when they're allowed to talk. Which plays into our current dilemma now.

The plot feeling disconnected from the rest of things, in a sense? I do understand that, though Season 4's last couple of episodes I think marginally fix this. I do miss when the Gem and Human stuff felt balanced better, and hopefully they can find that balance again soon. I don't think it's the only problem but it's a pretty big one. Disconnect from your plot and the rest of the show can make things feel tedious.
