For some reason yesterday it seemed really important to draw naked kissing instead of getting any actual work done. But look! I drew her hands totally without reference. Actually I drew most of this without photo reference (I did use ref for his head angle), which means it took me hours and hours (this sketch is my third attempt) but I think it was time well spent!
This is so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
My blog is an 18+ blog! I have posted this once before. I don't mean to come off as a bitch, but if you are a minor please vacate yourself. I post and reblog adult content!!! In no way shape or form will I be interacting with minors.
I just think he’s neat

I am so sick of gatekeeping!
I'm so tired of the whole "you can't like a queer character cuz you're straight." Guess what?? YES I FUCKING CAN. AND YES I FUCKING WILL.
Look, queer fans can love straight characters. Shed tears for them and feel for their emotional and physical growth. Even find a piece of themselves in that character. And the same goes for straight fans with queer characters. Can we please stop finding reasons to isolate ourselves? Fandoms are sometimes the one thing that brings people of all walks of life together in a shared love.
I've experienced this shit in both the supernatural fandom and now unfortunately it's popping up in the marvel fandom too.
Please, just stop.
If you agree with this gatekeeping bullshit just please block me, cuz I've chosen my comfort characters for a goddamn reason and like hell I'm gonna be told I can't have them cuz of my sexual orientation.
This sounds sus, ngl. I don't think whatever is the issue here was about straight people not being allowed to like queer characters.
I mean you mentioned SPN, which has next to zero actual representation.
Did people not want you to like Charlie? Because that's the only actual rep that show has.
Cas was turned bi last minute for Misha's 15 minutes of fame and clout, he was written as straight (for laughs mostly, lots of non-con undertones in his het encounters) until 15x18.
God is god, not actually rep, he's technically not even a person and all Crowley's interactions were also non-con mostly, and his human side was only ever shown with women.
There is 2 minutes if maybe Claire might be into Kayla and 5 side characters/side character couples that appeared in one ep only.
So where exactly were you gate-kept?
MCU only has Loki, Valkyrie if you squint and they don't cut it out again. That's it.
And Loki is sadly still perceived as straight by most of the dudebro watchers, because you can easily overhear 'a bit of both' if you chew your doritos too loudly while watching.
Also, tons of straight women love Loki. Pretty sure straight women and some edgy dudebros are the majority of mcu Loki fans.
Queer Loki fans wouldn't even be able to gatekeeping all of them tbh.
So I suspect this is about some weird shipping issue and/or fetishization accusation.
So, yeah, gatekeeping is bullshit, I do not agree with it in any context.
But what exactly happened here?
Might wanna elaborate before you start an unspecific rant.
This might come off as rude, but I'm actually intrigued.
@brsb4hls not rude at all actually. I'm more than happy to explain cuz it's gotta stop. For supernatural it was Cas. Like I literally had some annon tell me that unless I was gay I wasn't allowed to like him as a character 🤷♀️ and with the MCU it was Loki. I've loved Loki as a character for years, even before he showed up in the movies. But pretty much it was the same deal. Someone said straight people could never understand his character and that's just ridiculous to me. I wasn't gonna rant about it, I wasn't. But two is enough for me to get pissed when both characters have helped me through enough shit in my life to warrant a fight. It's stupid and I want the people who's experienced the same shit to know it's not okay. Nobody should be ran out of a fandom cuz of their sexuality. No body.
Yeah ok, that is ridiculous actually.
I mean Cas is a giant beam of light crammed into the rebuilt of some guy's body. I'm pretty sure nobody of his fans can claim to relate to that, lol.
And he himself said he doesn't care about sexual orientation.
And I know most people disagree on that but his queerness was only ever mentioned in regards to one specific person and at the very end of his arc.
To me that doesn't count for that much tbh.
It's nice for the fans but it's not like he is the queer icon.
And even if he were, you can still like him as a straight person, that's positive.
And Loki, well there's a lot to say about that. He usually doesn't fit in, is kind of an outcast. He is struggeling with his identity (adopted). He is fighting his predetermined destiny to find his own path.
There's so much people can identify with.
His queerness in the mcu is basically non-existent (although it's an important part of his identity). It's one line, and I love that we got at least that, don't get me wrong.
But it's very little.
A bit more in the comics, at least in regards to genderfluidity, same with the mythological version, but like I said, there's tons more that people resonate with.
And apart from that a lot of his fans are straight (or bi) women who find him hot. I mean I've never seen so much character/female reader fic before.
And I've never seen anyone of those fans getting called out (which they shouldn't of course, I'm not shaming, everyone has the right to enjoy their fantasies).
So my guess is this wasn't actually gate keeping, but some troll trying to rile you up.
Either way, they don't have a point. They were actually being lowkey homophobic by trying to seperate.
So if this happens again, just ignore and block. Or troll back, that can be fun ;).
(I find stuff like this fascinating. Like, who's going to stop you from liking a character and how would that even work? It's not like you can click a switch in your brain and turn it off, lol).
@brsb4hls Exactly. I know no one can physically make me not like a character, but I fucking hate bullies and the thought of someone trying to bully people out of a fandom pisses me off. I normally stay quiet on here. I don't like conflict. But the latest anon caught me at the wrong time and I needed to vent, so I decided to make my thoughts clear lol Thank you though, for talking about it with me. I think the conversation needed to be had where other people might find comfort in the discussion. I'm not sure if I'm the only person who has experienced this, I doubt it, but now others know how fucked up it really is.
