SUN'S BEEN DOWN FOR DAYS.

@amarcntha-blog / amarcntha-blog.tumblr.com

soon shes down the stairs; her morning elegance she wears. the sound of water makes her dream, awoken by a cloud of steam. she pours a daydream in a cup; a spoon of sugar sweetens up.. she fights for her life as she puts on her coat and she fights for her life on the train. she looks at the rain as it pours; nobody knows. | amarantha, 24

hey guys, just to let you know, i’ve requested a semi hiatus. i’ve got a lot going on with school and work right now and i’m too stressed about grades and money to stress about replies. that being said, i’ll still be doing them, just not tonight. in combo with my stress you all can see that we lost our hades... again, and i just feel a little discouraged because most of the people i’ve plotted with keep disappearing. if you’ve asked to plot with me and i’ve seemed distant, it’s just because i’m overwhelmed and tired, but please come at me with your ideas and i’ll respond tomorrow! i don’t have work or school or anything then.

      she hadn’t been paying attention to where she was going, and when she crashes into the other, hot chocolate spills onto the front of her body. she lets out a pained squeak, and then realizes that some of the beverage had spilled onto the person she’d bumped into as well. “oh, gosh! i’m so sorry!” @ttartarus

      her heart freezes when she sees the figure walk into her sacred place, her flower shop. she’d never spoken to the male, but eye contact had occurred before, and she felt like ever since she’d seen him the first time, they kept running into each other over and over - but never talking to each other. she had decided that she would not let that be the case, so she ducked out from behind the counter and approaching the mysterious male who she, admittedly, had been crushing on for a couple weeks. “see anything that interests you?” she’s referring to the flowers, but he’s hoping he’ll say that she does. / @hcnries

It was happening again.
The day was no different than usual - just Chris, speeding through the streets on his bike, delivering packages and notices (at top notch speed, of course). His headphones were blasting loud in his ears as he pedaled, loud enough for people on the sidewalk to even catch a note or two of the melody. But not even his music could drown out the flickers of something else - a blink of his eyes and suddenly skyscrapers were gone, the pavement was replaced by cobblestone, and it almost felt like everything had… Slowed down. His legs felt heavy, his arms tensing tighter on the handlebars of his bike - but another blink and he’d be right back in the center of London, the music in his ears grounding him once more.
He turned a corner sharply, hoping that the sensation would fade - but then he was met with a face that felt all too familiar, and he braked suddenly, head whipping back as he searched for the features, the ones he knew from somewhere… But where? “Hey!” he called out, aware that his accent would most certainly draw attention. “Hey - have we met somewhere before?”

      It had started out with dreams - chemise dresses on her form, with loose top over tighter skirt, her own hair tucked into tight curls, casual smoking, jazz. She had supposed that maybe she’d been watching too much Downton Abbey before bed again, but slowly, Amarantha realized, these images were becoming less dreamlike, more vivid, and they happened even when she wasn’t asleep.
      hey! she hears, and the american accent sounds like hers, which draws her out of her thoughts. she was from portland, oregon herself, originally, and she rarely catches an accent like hers aside from the likes of tourists. so, she pauses, and turns, something telling her that this stranger was trying to talk to her. “hey...” she says softly, brows furrowing at the familiar face.
      “i don’t believe we have.” she admits, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “but, and this is gonna sound crazy, you look just like this person from a dream i had recently.” she laughs. “i know, it sounds nuts, but seriously.”

       @rcmanos // “all i’m saying is that flowers are a wonderful industry to be in.” amarantha smiled, but she was clearly irritated with the strange male at the shop, and she rolled her eyes and turned away from him, dismissing him. “some people just don’t get how much the world thrives on its greenery. where would be right now without flowers? without bees? we’d be dead.” she was mostly talking to herself, but noticed a female on her right who could’ve thought the rant was intended for her ears. amara cleared her throat and blushed, “sorry. i’m just... passionate.”

      @tallulah-blackwood // “hey, love.” amarantha didn’t look up to see who had entered the store as she was tending to an ornate arrangement of flowers, an order for a wedding that would have to be delivered in the morning before she opened shop. normally, her clientele had to pick up their orders, but for a wedding, she could make an exception. “pleased to have you here and feel free to look around, but i’ll be closing up shop in about ten minutes.” she moves to the back to put away her flowers in the cooler, and when she comes back to the counter, she spies the other and smiles. she’s seen her around before, the woman, who always looked so pleasant. “hm, i’ve seen you around, haven’t i? tallulah?”

Octavia chuckled. “Aren’t we all?” She replied as she took another sip of her wine. Octavia liked this girl she was different than most she met. “Octavia, pleasure to meet you.” She said with a grin. “Well I love the social scene and so I am out meeting new people and just having fun.” She said with a smile. “Appears to be working so far.”
Image
      “I’m a bit of the opposite.” Amarantha elaborated. “I can be friendly when I get into social situations, but I don’t seek them out. I think that’s called an ambivert, but I’m not sure.” She laughs lightly. “Well, absolutely. You’ve officially met me, and I like to think we’re having fun, with our wine and peanuts.” She smirks, almost teasingly, as if she doesn’t really consider this a good time.. and, while she is having a good time, there are places she’d rather be.

callie liked to have a drink after her shifts, especially when they ended early, which was why she found herself at the pub holding a beer. her stage manager told her to go easy on them in case the beer makes her bloat so as a fuck you, she decided to get some beer the first chance she got. groaning, callie wasn’t really sure what she was doing with her life, nor did she know what was going to happen but she had her beer, and for now, that was going to have to be enough. smiling as she spotted a familiar person, callie turned towards them after taking a sip from her beer. “wine is all good, but you’re in a pub where a lot of people can only afford a beer, so forgive me if some people might think you’re a little pretentious,” callie teased her before holding her beer up in a toast. “to ending social faux pas?”
Image
      amarantha would giggle, blinking wine glass against beer bottle in their toast, and she sips from the glass before she moves an arm around her friend, callie. “i am a little pretentious.” she adds, and then finally takes a long drink of wine, feeling a lot more at ease. “how are you, callie? i’ve missed you! i can’t believe we didn’t plan to just meet up here. but, as fate would have it, we ran into each other anyway.” she shoots her a wild grin, eyes sparkling with possibilities, like maybe some omniscient force led them to running into one another. “how fortunate.”
