An Idiots Guide for Survival in the Wizarding World...and other places

Dear #coldflash fandom,

I’m looking for a fic where Len is possessed Azathoth(sp) and he get’s Barry to help figure out who killed him. It’s vaguely circa 2017-2018.

I have tried a bunch of searches on AO3, but I can’t find the description and i no longer remember the title. I’m shocked I remembered it pulled from Lovecraft at all.

Thanks in advance if anyone remembers!

So much love and mutual respect. He makes them so happy. He is much of the reason for their returning smiles. 💖

Long may the trio reign!

My best friend’s daughter joined the Scouts this year and when she told me about it I said, “Oh man I’m gonna buy so many cookies from you.” And she just dead stared me in the eye and said, “Yeah. You will.”

So you know why I love Good Omens?

Because it's HAPPY.

I am tired of watching shows and films that think that the only way to be compelling or "edgy" is to showcase abusive relationships and torture and kill their protagonists.

Good Omens is compelling because it shows genuine love, respect, and kindness when it would have been so easy to show literally anything else.

Crowley, a demon, doesn't lie to Aziraphale, doesn't hurt him or trick him, doesn't disrespect or power-trip him; he cares about him and treats him well. Aziraphale, an angel, never for a moment rejects Crowley for being a demon, he doesn't try to change him, tell him he is wrong or attempt to "save" him, but instead recognizes all of the good in him and treats him well.

The only unhealthy relationships are between heaven and hell, and they FREE THEMSELVES OF THESE ABUSES.

The whole thing is filled with healthy relationships of all kinds.

Adam and the Them? Even though Adam is seen as the leader of the group, he takes this as a responsibility to provide his friends with the best games and bring them joy, not as a means of controlling them.

Witches and witchfinders fall in love.

No one is tortured or tormented, the world does not end, and a fucking nightingale sings in Berkeley Square.

Good Omens was the first time I have watched a series that didn't leave me tense wondering when the hurt was going to start. I actually realized how emotionally abusive media has become, and that is so fucked up.

Yes. Can I identify the snail? Because I will find the snail, pick it up with tongs and gloves, put it in a box, get on a boat, and drop it into the Pacific Ocean. It may not die, but if it gets back to me from there, it sure as hell deserves its reward.

you know how in the final episode aziraphale is holding the sword and tells crowley “if you don’t come up with something, then, then i’ll never talk to you again!!”? and azi was holding the sword but brought it down when he looked at crowley, and the look of panic in their faces were enough to drive everyone to tears??

yeah, what azi meant by “i’ll never talk to you again” is not that they’re having some married couple dispute like “haha you better do something or we’re done” but rather that if crowley doesn’t try to stop the apocalypse in that moment, they might never get to see/talk/hang out with each other bc they will be separated through them being on opposite sides of the war. if either heaven or hell wins, then neither will be able to be with each other ever again

and that shit hurts them both so much bc they obviously don’t want to be separated, so crowley does the first thing that he can think of: he stops time

examples and mentions of Crowley’s power

(in which i wonder just how powerful is Crowley anyway??)

Maybe it’s not about power, per se, maybe it’s about imagination and curiosity. We’re told explicitly that Crowley has more imagination than other demons and (I suspect) angels…maybe he can imagine using his powers in ways that simply don’t occur to anyone else. And he’s curious as well, so maybe he’s spent the last 6000 years experimenting with what he can and can’t do, because Hell doesnt particularly care, while poor Aziraphale gets passive aggressive notes for saving himself from certain death. So Crowley is messing with the fabric of space-time whenever he’s bored just to see what happens and has an excellent idea how everything works when he actually needs it.
