Reason for joining Love Island: “I don’t want to sound cocky, but I’m still a little stunned I wasn’t part of the OG cast, I mean… I would have made things way more interesting. As for why I’m here, well, love has a lot to do with it, of course, and now that I’ve seen so much I know I have the upper hand [grins]. Reason for joining Love Island: “I was grooming Larry  — the cutest but feisty Pomeranian you’ll ever meet  — when his owner came up to me and said, “you’ve a TV face,” which, frankly, I tend to agree. I mean, look at me, I’m adorable! And I don’t spend hours taking care of my beard and mustache for nothing. Anyway, they handed me a flyer with all the information to apply for the show, saying it would be a fun and entertaining experience. I’m all about fun and entertainment so how could I pass on that?”

Reason for joining Love Island: “I’m here for a load of reasons — to make friends, have some fun, maybe even find the right person. Obviously I have to be realistic, but it would be nice. I haven’t really dated much, there’s been a few boyfriends and girlfriends here and there, but I spent a lot of time studying or working so it never really got as serious as I would have wanted it to be. I think now’s the time for me to try all the things I didn’t get to back then. It’s scary and to be honest I’m really nervous, but I always say that it’s the trying that counts. Even if it doesn’t pan out, there’s so many native birds in Mallorca and I’ve been making a note of all the ones I see, so that in itself has been massive!
