As she wrapped her bruised fingers around the glass of light liquor, she felt a curious feeling nagging her when she turned to look at the person sitting across her table. "As if the day couldn't get any better," she whispered under her breath but she was sure the ginger plant heard it. "Even if I'm freelance Ivy, I'm just not singing with your band currently."

Even though most didn't remember him, it was true that Dinah's father had roamed the police station place for a few years before becoming a private detective. Years later, it had been Dinah's dream to wear the uniform as well. But alas, things had gone another way.
The place had not changed really, smelling a mix of dust and bloog, along with a fragrance of rot. The joys of the inmates. Of course when she stepped in and walked past a few desks, bad guys and cops stopped to watch her. A whistle echoed from one of the cells as well.
She barely knocked on the door then, directly sat on the edge of the desk with a grin, "Commissioner Gordon. I believe you're my date tonight."

Going to war alongside the one and unique Wonder Woman was always an event, even for Dinah who witnessed her ways for years now. Each time, they thought it would be the worst time in war, but each time the next time got worse.
Today was no exception.
They were outnumbered, clearly. And if the bird was being honest, who best other than Diana to survive the apocalypse ? She was perfect. Almost. No one was truly perfect, even a Princess. But to Dinah's eyes, she was worth her sacrifice.
"Get back !" Almost crying out of desperation, a firm hand in the brunette's direction so she would try nothing at all to stop her from her demise. And then that same gloved hand went to trash over the endless crowd of zombies that ran to her. Then another hand, but she wasn't tired. Vermillion drops shook around after every punch, skulls cracked with bones accident... Finally she released the one power that would perhaps save them both.

After exhaustion, Dinah landed on her knees, ready to pass out until a familiar face appeared before her eyes. Her gesture was tender, it brought her back to life, helped her calm down. Canary spat on the ground, blood for the most of it.

It was getting pretty late, but Dinah was not in bed as she was bing watching some show on a very famous platform that Ollie was still paying without knowing. A milkshake in hand, a red straw in between lips, she rested her tired fishnets over the coffee table.
When all of a sudden, she heard footsteps from the other end of the door, and then someone rang the bell. Carefully she put her drink away and went to examinate through the spyhole on tiptoes before she let out a whimper when she recognized the man standing behind.
With rush she opened the door with a soft frown over her brows. She asked the ultimate question that they both knew would be needed seeing how miserable Roy looked. One last look around and Canary pulled him inside by the arm, locked the door twice.
Her look was definitely soft but worried, full of compassion. She had her fair work on Roy years ago. Even with arms crossed over himself, and the fact he definitely got bigger and taller than her, she pulled him with strength into her arms and towards the couch. She held him tight against her torso, fingers caressing his ginger hair repeatedly.
Of course her mind was now mulling on what clearly happened to him, how he spiraled back - or not - into addiction, and if so who knew about it. "It's alright Roy... You're safe here. It's gonna be okay, I promise you..." After a while, she asked, "Did you... I need to know Roy. Did you use them again ?"

i'm begging mutuals on roleplay blogs to start interacting. most people for what i have seen, are super comfortable with memes being the first shape of interaction, and the odd starter call too. like them, send various memes to get options.
this goes to single blogs but also multimuse blogs. i promise you, as someone with a lot of multimuse blogs, sometimes just giving a few names is enough for people to try on those muses.
interact with your mutuals. like their post, make jokes on their ooc post if that's how you feel more comfortable, share a pic or two, maybe discord. but for the gods sake, send memes, like starter calls, specially when it's encouraged.
