Friendly reminder that fan-made content (fanart, fanfic, fanvids, etc) are:

  • extremely time consuming. Remember someone actually took time out of their life to create that, time they could’ve used to, idk, sleep, for example
  • entertainment you’re consuming for free. I can’t stress this enough: you’re enjoying someone else’s craft for free. You paid exactly zero money to look at/read/watch it.
  • S H A R E D  with you, not made for you. This is the most important point: someone created that, put it online and you found it. No one forced you to consume that fanwork, you C H O S E  to do it. 

Whenever you feel like leaving a mean comment, anonymous hate or make a ~clever post about how ‘lol look at all of these overused tropes every fic writer crams into their fics’ remember you’re being a dick to someone who shared their work with you. You’re not being funny, you’re not being edgy, you’re not being brave for calling something out - you’re being a dick.

Guys in my defence I've been reading fanfics not writing them. But seriously I've been deal dealing with mental health shit and s c h o o l. I'm tryna get in the grove of writing but not force it so I won't go back into writer's block. AU SUMMERY:

King Philza is been told of a prophecy that one day "A Golden Haired will bring doom to the Kindgom"
So when his sickly wife dies at childbirth to a golden haired child, Philza out of grief and fear sends a Knight to get rid of the new born.
Sam does not pull through and hides the child in the neighbourhood kingdom and as such Tommy is raised with lots of loving brothers and sisters that promise him the world.
He learns magic and gets the chance to join his father Sam in the Royal Household of Philza's Empire as a Magic Knight under a disguise and different coloured hair.
Tommy bonds with the royal family. Reads with Wilbur, trains with Techno, learns old magic from Philza, who's own children never tried to learn the old arts.
So it hurts even more when he finds out that Philza wanted him dead. And when his brothers and sisters stand in a revolution against the king Tommy could have stopped them, could have ended the conflict. But doesn't.
Philza looks on at his burning, fallen kingdom, hair blazing golden in the light of the flames. And realisation settles in.
