Writing Prompts

@promptsblog

Exactly what it says on the tin. If you have a prompt you would like to submit, please do so via the ask box. Tag me or reblog the original prompts with your fills that they inspired if you would like me to promote it. Note: I try to only promote original fiction on this blog but sometimes fanfiction fills - which you are welcome to write - slip through. Credit not necessary. I don't own these ideas once I release them out into the world, though I do own any story I may be inspired to write from my own prompts. Askbox is open

⚜️Roche/Ciri🌹 is golden, but the witcher's fandom is blind sheep.

Hey anon, I hope you see this. I don't think Tumblr notifies anons when their asks are answered. I think you sent this to the wrong account. At least I hope so. If not, please stop sending me fandom stuff I don't understand. You might as well have said "is Blibbity Flagshell really going to marry Lord Donut or do you think they're just trying to trick the bishop into coming to the church so they can confront him about the Piggot papers?" and it would mean the exact same thing to me. I mean, I know what The Witcher is but I would never generalise about an entire fandom like that, especially one that spans three mediums and multiple languages. That sounds a bit small-minded. But hey, live your life, anon.

The city at night.

The cramped alleyway is bustling and bursting with life. Colorful flags and lights hang overhead, stretched between the buildings and their fire escapes as if woven by a spider creating a web. Loud music blares from Silverstring buskers on the street level and from the parties raging in the apartments on the floors above.

Merchants call out in all manner of languages, offering everything from Talismans to Tarot, herbal remedies, and various forms of ritual materials. Everywhere you look, there's something for any practicing Witch.

Witches of all sort mill about and peruse the shops, several groups of members of different covens sticking out. The easiest to spot are the Cedars adorned by their decorated animal skull hats, the Silverstrings having wild hairstyles that wouldn't look out of place at a punk concert, and the elitist students from the nearby academy wearing their school uniforms.

The uneasy peace guided by mutually-assured destruction causes a tension thick enough to need an axe to cut. All it would take is a single argument, and the whole alley would erupt into senseless violence. But all the Covens know we don't want war, and so, the uneasy alliance stays.

For all the flaws, this is home for Witches in Milton. This is how you live your life. This is how you practice your craft.

A character inherits an old mansion, only to find it inhabited by characters from unfinished stories written by their deceased relative.

Alex inherited Shadowgrove Mansion, only to discover it was filled with characters from their aunt's unfinished stories. Each room revealed a different character, like Eleanor, waiting eternally for a lover, and Thomas, an adventurer trapped between worlds. The library, cluttered with manuscripts, was the heart of this magic, where Alex met Arthur, a knight without a quest. Realizing their aunt's legacy was not the mansion but the stories within, Alex decided to finish the tales, giving life to the characters and resolution to their unfinished journeys. In doing so, Alex not only freed the characters but also uncovered a deep connection to their aunt and the power of storytelling.
