I'm Omar from Gaza, 20 years old.

I had many goals for this new year. I was going to achieve my ambitions and succeed, but the war on Gaza stopped me from all these things I hoped for.

While students around the world go to universities and achieve their dreams and aspirations, I'm stuck because of the war.

I don't know what to do, I can't find joy.

Everything was destroyed, and my university was ruined.

I'm a diligent student, and I hope you can help me and spread my campaign as soon as possible to save my life and continue my education.

There's not enough information for me to verify this fundraiser, as the photos are exclusively of the children and not the parents who are organizing it. I’ve seen several media outlets trying to claim that the UN has ‘quietly’ halved the number of Palestinian women and children killed since October 7th. Some have gone so far as to allege that Hamas fabricated the original numbers to try and cover for the 1:1 ratio of insurgents to civilians killed.

They’ve chosen to ignore the fact that the UN published a completely separate report, comprised of individuals whose remains have been identified.

The UN has clarified that the total number of women and children killed in Gaza since October 7th remains unchanged.

Throughout the first five months of the war, both my big sister and my sister in law had been pregnant. They had to endure constant displacement and unspeakable horrors on top of pregnancy discomforts. The few times I was able to reach my sister, she would keep praying not to go into labor before that nightmarish reality ended.

Sadly, things did not go her way. The war was raging when she gave birth to beautiful baby Ossama, and it still is ongoing. Almost at the same time my brother and his wife had sweet baby twin girls, Ritaj and Rital. The three little angels are rocked to sleep by the sound of bombs and buzzing drones instead of lullabies. Due to the unsanitary conditions in their tent and formula scarcity, the newborns have been constantly suffering from acute respiratory infections as well as slow weight gain. The only medical care they were getting was that of an overcrowded field hospital with limited resources, and even that is now denied to them as my family has been forcibly evacuated again from Rafah to Khan Yunis where nothing is left but rubble.

As you may well know, many babies in Gaza are lost while waiting for consideration. The doctors previously insisted that the little ones would fail to thrive and fully recover if they stayed in the same unhealthy environment.

Despite everything, these babies are a source of hope and strength for us. Please don't let them fade away. My family is barely holding on for their sake and that of their older brothers and sisters.

i am fleeing my abusive family on the 24th and need help

i finally have a move out date, the 24th. i will be moving away from my abusive family across the country to live with my wife, their sibling, and our friend. i am very excited to finally live somewhere safe for the first time in my life. my only income is my monthly disability check which is currently reduced due to the fact that i was living with my mom (i am working on getting my living situation updated with social security) so i need a little financial help if possible. it would help a lot with gas money for the trip as well as other necessary expenses. any amount no matter how small would be immensely helpful and would literally be helping me save my life. thank you so much!!!

jerry was in my elder scrolls online guild, and he's one of the sweetest guys I've ever known. i feel sick every time i come across his image online because it's almost always the exact same baseless derision and shitty implications about him because he's fat and wearing a fedora for a photoshoot. the photoshoot this image is from was leaked from his private facebook. the harassment that he's faced from his memeification is worse than anyone knows.

I saw this last time it went around but there’s an update from mid March 2024 saying that unfortunately, his insurance has decided that since he can walk from a bed to a wheelchair and back, they will not be paying for additional physical therapy. He will be increasing his goal amount soon to reflect that, so the 3k he is over his goal by is not sufficient.
