Such a good interview.
As I go through and ruthlessly delete old fics and polish up the ones I am keeping and finish others, I'll also post links to them on here for A03.
This story is a bit of harmless fluff.
This guy is nothing but trouble.
Look how happy those Vulcan elders look for Spock's acceptance.
I love Spock and Amanda, I wish we got to see more of them together. I love that she dotes on him. She expresses herself as a human, to her Vulcan son, with touch and warmth and understanding and she expresses to him how proud she is, even if he wants to be vulcan. Even if it means she won't get to see his human side, she still encourages him to do whatever he wants to do and she will support him.
While rebellious Spock is kicking the shit out of his older bullies for insulting his parents.
I love we see rebellious Kirk he's driving around, wrecking hsi stepfather's car and almost getting himself killed.....
One of my least favourite things about the AOS timeline is that to go with the narrative that's implied, I have to believe that this mother doesn't protect her child against an abusive stepfather and I just can't.
For some weird reason, it never really clicked in my brain that if Spock was to blame himself for all of Nero's actions, even though it was not his fault even slightly, then he'd also blame himself for George Kirk's death and I don't understand why my brain has never connected this before.
George Kirk.
