“It’s not until someone—probably Annalise—takes her hand and places it in a familiar, long-fingered hand that Yennefer feels some of the tension leave her shoulders. The blindfold is pulled away and she finds herself looking into Jaskier’s bright blue eyes.
He smiles down at her, his gaze raking over her with something like awe. He’s trimmed his hair and shaved his face; in his sapphire blue doublet and breeches, he looks like the baby-faced bard Geralt brought to her in Rinde so many years ago.”

I absolutely loved working on my @yenbigbang piece for @ghostinthelibrarywrites‘s incredible fic. Make sure to read it, its so wonderful! Link in the reblog

I always assume the train will be so boring and I bring seven things to do but then I'm entranced by the wonderful window the entire time

8 year old Dick’s third trip to Bruce’s office and being so helpful that he pressed ALL the elevator buttons so that they could shout good morning to each floor

*ding*

“Dick, this is the eighty-second floor, could we please–”

“Good morale is a preeminent factor in all workplace environments. I saw it on Discovery Science, CSPAN, and also Bill Nye. HELLO EIGHTY-SECOND FLOOR!”

25-year-old Dick doing the same exact thing. The people on the floors now yell back.

Ok, but consider- Dick teaching this to Damian. Using all the argument he’s built up for Bruce over the years and, “Yes Damian this is important to workplace moral”. And Damian has no choice but to believe Dick that, This is just how things are done because everyone yells back. Jump to Bruce being worried about taking Damian to the office with him for the first time and Damian is just like, “tch, Do not worry Father I have been trained on proper workplace procedure.” Which only had Bruce more worried until Damian proceeds to hit every single elevator button and, when the doors open, in his most proper voice, “Salutations Second Floor.” There is of course a chorus of “Good Morning"s and “Hello Damian"s Bruce is so completely frozen in shock that doesn’t say anything as the process repeats on every single floor. and he can only nod and say “Good Job” when Damian looks to him for approval once they’re done.

while all of stede’s crew begrudgingly and eventually embraced the management style, oluwande was having a blast the whole time. umm u guys want to mutiny? what about our stories huh? yes jim I do realize he’s incompetent but we r getting paid to hang out……I do indeed want to talk about my feelings and have a talent show I was beginning to worry you’d never ask

People say that old games dont look as good as they remember

Its because they legitimately dont.

The “fuzz” from CRT monitors was something that was definitely accounted for and taken advantage of back in the day when it came to video games! While this effect is noticeable in 3D games, it’s MUCH more visible when it comes to 2D sprites:

Just look how much more depth these simple sprites of Princess Peach and Bowser from Super Mario RPG seem to have when seen through the “dots” of a CRT TV screen!

I somehow did not know this!?!?!?

One of the clearest examples of this is using the effect for transparent waterfalls in the MegaDrive Sonic games

My absolutely favourite example of this is with Dracula's eyes in Castlevania

I imagine someone's already posted this by now, but in case not, here's a lovely Pride Month message from the OG Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter!

yesterday my date made me promise to "not talk to any random russians this time" only for me to immediately become best friends with a kosovan gang member. saved on a technicality

after i successfully taught him how to play uno via google translate i explained to him that my date's phone got stolen, prompting both the most threatening AND the most hilarious sentence ever typed into a translator:

"why did you have to promise that you won't talk to russian people in in first place" because after a certain amount of alcohol i enter a stage of inebriation my friends have dubbed "russian hour" in which the duolingo trained part of my brain takes over and i sniff out russian speaking people like a bloodhound and exitedly talk to them until i am physically dragged away.

I truly believe there is correlation between liking to watch gamers or playthroughs, and being a younger sibling.

like I was telling my (older) sister that I liked watching playthroughs and she just didn’t really get it. She was like, just play it yourself? Why watch someone else do it?

And it dawned on me that yeah, growing up sitting at her side while she got to play the game did, in fact, having a lasting influence on me lmao so shout out to all the younger siblings who got to be the “backseat” player, who were handed the unplugged controller so we could pretend to play. Sucks that our fine motor skills weren’t quite up to par with our older siblings yet but we were there for the ~experience~

tell me why this budgetless gay youtube series made for fun by a group of friends has the best editing and writing of anything i’ve watched in a year.

also tell me how this single scene can contain every single one of the top three most iconic lines in history.

THIS IS WHERE THAT FUCKING MEME COMES FROM?!!!!

The Gay and Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo is HANDES DOWNES the best series of anything to have been made by anyone ever. You’ll laugh you’ll cry you’ll quote it forever and be silently disappointed that a person you thought would know it doesn’t know it & then you won’t know how to accurately convey HOW MUCH it means to you without sounding like you’re overselling something well anyway
