“precipitates” series by pablo genovés

When the apocalypse comes, if it does, it will look really impressive in places of fine art and classical performance. So surmises the collage work of Madrid/Berlin-based artist Pablo Genovés, who takes photos of museums, performance halls, and ballrooms, and creates scenes of flooding and tsunami-like moments in the otherwise serence environments.

“The sun rises in your eyes.”

(click for full res!) So I recently finished landscape with a blur of conquerors by diasterisms, on Tumblr as @kylorenvevo, and lemme tell you… that was a journey and a half. I’m so sad it’s over but so glad I came in time for the epilogue to be nearly posted, as that means I’m not all that behind on the uptake. This is a little scene I headcanon happens after the end of Chapter 69, when everything’s happy and I can pretend this beautifully written fic didn’t make me cry. Seriously. Go read it.

“The etymology of the word “monster” and “monstrosity” is probably familiar; the words come from the same root as other words like “demonstration”, the Latin word ‘monstrare’, which means “to show”. The monster, then, is not merely some weird mutation of the human, although usually it is that; it is also something which is designed to be shown.”
