Heya, Max! So... how'd you wind up in the Spider-ing business, anyways?
A few years back, Oscorp had an internship program for high schoolers. I was 15? I think? Figured I’d join cause I was going through a nanotech hyper-fixation and their research was groundbreaking.
I’d been there maybe two months before the whole… well. I had been taking a nap in one of the study rooms and was rudely awoken being bit by a spider half the size of my palm. Guess I was moving too much in my sleep. Look, I still have no idea where it came from, and I never wanted to look into what Oscorp was doing with radioactive spiders, but not long after starting my own vigilante thing, I got my first meeting with ‘Spider-Man’. What I understand based on the interactions I’ve had with him in the past 5 years, we were bit by the same - or similar- spiders, around the same time.

Starting a bit fresh here in terms of well… everything! I’m retconning her name from Maxine Jays to Maxine “Max” Jourdain. Everything that occurred story wise originally on this blog is now in a separate canon. Red is going to have a whole new story and experiences! Basically from this point forward, she’s an entirely new character, but I didn’t want to delete all of the old posts from this blog’s beginning, so they’re essentially all archived here.
