11. “Want To Know Why I Love Playing In The Dark?”
“Please, please..” I whimpered out,” I promise I-I won’t tell any more about this just, please! Let me go!” my crying only seemed to edge him on as he walked back and forth from one side to the other inside the barn house. I could see how the more I would pleiad, cried and yelled the bigger his grin would get as he whistled a cheerful tone with a delighted skip to his walk. “Now why the fuck would I let you go, babe?”
Stopping in the middle of the room, he turned to face me through the metal bars that kept me caged inside this hell as I witness how he so gleefully paced the room. He tilted his head to the side as he took slow calculating steps towards the cage before his pale hands wrapped around the cool rusted metal bars kneeling down to where I was pathetically laid out on the dirty floor. He leaned his forehead against the bars and took a deep breath. Almost trying to get a sniff of my scent. My Fear…
“Please…Yoongi. You told me you loved me if that’s true then you’ll let me go…please.” A breathy chuckle left Yoongi’s cherry lips, letting a hand slip through the bars as it caressed the side of my head. Fingers running through my tattered head as my teary eyes looked this man before me in the eyes. “ I do, I do love you, baby,” He brought my head up against the metal bars as he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead,” but you don’t love me and I can’t have that.”
Pulling away roughly, Yoongi stood up straight again as the glee from his eyes left and were replaced by a cold stare. He went back to one of his work tables that held who knows what and I heard objects being arranged, sorted, and placed around the table. “I gave you everything, you know? When you were dating that asshole I was the one who not only took care of him but of you as well as you wasted your tears on him. When your professor was giving you problems, I took care of him for you. I took care of everything!” Yoongi slammed his fists down hard on the wooden table. A low growl rumbled from within him before a snarl just echoed in the barn.
I know he makes me sound like a bitch. A bitch who underappreciated what a sweet guy had done favors for. But I didn’t even know who he was when it all happened. Hell, all I remember is that one day he just appeared out of nowhere and comforted me after my boyfriend (who was not an asshole) had died in a car accident. Since then he had just appeared whenever shit would happen to me and comfort me. When he suddenly confessed to him about loving me and always had loved me I turned him down. Since that moment things took a turn for the worst and before I know it, I’m here. Tied down and caged like cattle.
Taking a deep breath, Yoongi started to walk away from the table as he grabbed his jacket from a chair far off into the corner, his voice goes back to normal.” I’ll be back to bring you some food, alright love?” He turned to face me before sending a wink in my direction and walking out, shutting the barn doors behind him. I waited to hear the rattle of the lock being placed before the click indicated it being locked.
Using my teeth to loosen up the final Knott, the rope went limp and the pressure it had on my wrists was gone. I let it drop to my side as I rub the deep nasty bruise on my wrists before going to untie the rope around my legs.
Once that was loose, I stood up as I enjoyed the feeling of my legs and arms being able to stretch and lose those knots building up in my muscles. The sudden freedom my body felt once away from those retrains had a weight just be dropped off my shoulders, but it wasn’t the time to relish in it. I wasn’t sure when Yoongi would come back and how much time I had left before he did so I quickly looked for a rock I can use to smash the lock open to free me of just one more cage.
I kept on smashing the rock as hard as I could on the lock, not even bothering to register the fact that I broke a nail or that I would occasionally smash my fingers between the lock and the rock. I just wanted out. The moment that that lock just gave out I let out a cry of relief before bolting it out the barn.
Taking in the cold night air into my lungs and releasing it with a big smile spreading on my lips made me feel like a free bird once more. It was a feeling I never knew I would have to feel. Yet, after three weeks in that shithole, it was the most amazing feeling in the world. Hell, not even an orgasm could describe a sudden what this feeling inside of me was.
That feeling though didn’t last long though for the sound of keys moving around captured my delicate ears and with a swift turn, I was met with Yoong’s wide eyes. “Shit.” The two of us seemed to utter as I sprinted towards the edge of the woods which caused my kidnapper to drop the bags of food on the floor and run after you.
As I tried to guide myself through the dark woods and not trip over any branches or my own legs, I felt time just passing through me. It must have been hours since I started running and I didn’t stop until I collapsed against a big tree. My breath was heavy and the cold night air helped cool down the burning in my lungs.
A branch cracked under an unknown pressure not too far off where I was and immediately I placed a hand over my mouth to quiet me down. I Bent down and brought my legs up against my chest as I prayed that the shadows of the trees and plants would hide me. Before I know it, the sound of what could be described as a hungry wolf prowling around the area, sniffing around for a scent any potential prey could be picked up around the woods.
“You want to know why I love playing in the dark, babe?”
The hairs on my body immediately stood up as my blood ran icy cold at the sound of his voice. I did my best to stay quiet and not have a cry of despair just rip through my throat like I so much wanted to do. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I shut my eyes tight and started to count down from 10.
“It’s because it makes a hunt so much more fun and challenging.”
Steps started to slowly pace around the area.
“Of course, I didn’t want you to be just another hunt.”
“I love you too much to have you be just another hunt.”
The steps came closer to the tree I was but I was convinced that there was no way he would be able to see me in the dark. Even if he was spewing this bullshit.
“But I do admit that this is rather fun.”
“The game you decided to play. Cat and mouse-”
“- No. The wolf and the mouse.”
Suddenly I heard nothing. No footsteps. No talking. Nothing.
I opened my eyes and looked around me before a sudden gust of hot breath was blown in my ear.
