in the sonic universe there is a subreddit called r/sonicspotting and it's just people posting single frames of a blurry flash of blue taken from footage from their doorbell & security cameras. he's like a cryptid except you can ask him for autographs and he'll oblige

it's called r/sonicspotting, but sonic isn't the only one that gets posted about. this subreddit has flair for each of his known associates, so there's the occasional post about them as well. periodically someone will post a blurry cell phone picture of a biplane in the distance like "IS THIS THE TORNADO?"

there's text posts, too. titles include:

  • "I asked Shadow for a selfie and he told me to fuck off"
  • "A hot bat stole my wallet, is she a friend of Sonic's? Can I get it back?"
  • "I encountered Tails at a walmart and asked for an autograph. He talked to me about planes for an hour"
  • "Sonic's psychic friend used my car to explode a badnik... will my insurance cover this?"

also, nobody knows Scourge's name so everyone just calls him Green Sonic. anyone who tries posting his name gets banned and their post deleted immediately
