Headcanons: Being in an arranged marriage, but actually in love with Mr Darcy

-At first you would have been outraged that your parents would arrange a marriage between you and Mr Darcy

-Everything you had heard about him was that he was stubborn and mean, but rich, which is why his parents arranged it

-When you met, he was cold and distant, which you had expected

-Your parents would force you to try and get to know him, which you would do begrudgingly

-But it surprisingly didn’t take very long for you two to form a friendship, and then an actual relationship

-Once you got married, people assumed that you two would be distant from each other, never actually spending time together

-But you would surprise everyone when you two were almost always shoulder to shoulder

-And it would surprise everyone even more when you made each other smile and laugh

-Your friends and family would ask if you were actually happy, or if you were only ever pretending to keep up appearances

-No matter how many times you would say that you were happy and that you did love him, there where always those who thought you were lying

-But neither you and Darcy cared that much, you only cared that you were together, and happy, what others said did nothing to your relationship

-Eventually people would give in and accept that you were truly in love

-You would get along great with Mr Bingley and Darcy’s sister, which only made Darcy happier

-Darcy would do whatever he could to make you happy because you quickly became one of the most important things in his life

-You would always be an ear to listen to him and a hand to hold
