are there any plans for gentron week this year? no pressure if not! it's been A Year. either way, thank you for running it in the past!

This year, sadly, it’s looking like we won’t be able to host Gentron - the mods are all committed to other projects over this coming summer, so we don’t feel we’d be able to dedicate the needed time and work to run Gentron in 2021.

Still, the possibility is certainly open for the event to resume in 2022 if there still is interest then. And although we won’t be running new prompts or anything this year, the #gentronweek tag is always there, so if you’ve missed out on the event or any of the prompts over the last two years that you’d like to participate in, you can definitely still feel free to make a piece!

It is time to post my first fic for the winter interim! Fic-wise, I have four goals that I want to complete before the next semester starts, and one of them was writing my fic for Day 6 of Gentron Week: Taking the Hit for the Other | Injury Aftercare. Gotcha Day (3/3)

The catalyst for Team Voltron adopting a dog might be an offhand demand from Lance, but let’s be real: several of them are very much on board with this plan.
Written as part of Gentron Week 2020 as a combination of the prompts “Adopting a Pet Together” and “Cultural Exchange”, in two three parts.

Keith sleeps terribly, of course. She’s warm, for one thing, so temperature regulation is next to impossible. And any time he moves she moves too – at one point ending up draped over his legs, which would maybe be fine, if it didn’t mean they were trapped. When she starts whining around fourth varga, he supposes he must have fallen asleep at some point, since that’s the only explanation for the groggy way he’s dragging himself into consciousness now. 

“Yeah, alright,” he grumbles when she steps her front paws onto his back and sticks a very cold nose against his ear to whine directly into it. “I get it.” He carefully extracts himself from under her, moving her to the side of his bunk that’s against the wall, and sits up, scrubbing at sleep-heavy eyes. Folding his legs under him, he turns to look back at her. “I guess you probably need to pee, huh.” As if in answer, the hyrassie leaps over his lap and to the door to his quarters, whining again. Before she can escalate to anywhere near the shrieking sound they had to contend with last night, he makes a gesture at the control panel so the door will slide open, and she dashes out. “Oh, shit,” he mutters – right. A leash would have probably been a good idea.

Gentron Week Day 8: Free Day

So here’s that special surprise I teased at the beginning of this challenge. When writing for day one I accidentally wrote a third chapter for The Hero and the Virgin. So that’s what y’all are getting today!

Characters: Keith, Shiro, Lance, Hunk, Allura, Pidge, Coran

Summary: Healing takes time, as Keith and Shiro discover. Meanwhile Allura must deal the with the very race that nearly cost the lives of two of her Paladins.

Warning: This chapter is pretty clean besides some trauma recovery but the first two chapters of the fic (available on AO3) deal with some heavy stuff. Please read the tags and be careful.

Friendly Fire

The obligatory beach day fic, written for @gentronlegendaryfriendships Week Day 7 (August 9th: Beach Day/Road Trip).

“No.”

“I think you mean ‘yes.’”

“No, I’m pretty sure they meant ‘hell yes,’ right, Pidge?”

“I said ‘no,’ and I meant it! Leave me alone.”

“Aww, come on Pidgeon! Just think of it! The feeling of sand between your toes, the cool ocean breeze, the warm summer rays caressing your pale, beach-deprived body, the–”

Lance was cut off by a bony elbow to the gut, which he probably should’ve seen coming. He’d wriggled up close to Pidge on the couch.

“Gross, Lance! Nobody wants to hear your beach porn.”
