MICROCASTLE is a three-story anthology that focuses on three aspects of solitude: loneliness, yearning, and acceptance.

I: AGORAPHOBIA

STARRING: Lee Heeseung

SYNOPSIS: Port towns are two things—tiny and unbearable. While Heeseung dreamt of a life in the city, hopelessly extending his hands to the wonders of the mainland, he slowly begins to realize that dreams are simply meant to stay as dreams. With a critically endangered legacy of diving that he has to protect and the beckoning of death at his father's doorstep, he is stuck between the top of the lighthouse and the bottomless ocean, forever wandering the thin horizon of life and death.

II: COVER ME SLOWLY

STARRING: Jake Sim

SYNOPSIS: Jake only loves one, and he will always love one. He knew she was the one when she gave him a Power Rangers band-aid after he scraped his knee on the sidewalk. He met her again in a classroom at thirteen, where he continued to believe she was the one after she treated his wounds in a soccer match. At seventeen, she was still Jake's only love—but she loved another. Now, at twenty-two, Jake continues to lament that he could only love her, even in the face of a car crash.

III: TWILIGHT AT CARBON LAKE

STARRING: Kim Sunoo

SYNOPSIS: Sunoo was surrounded by plane crashes all the time. He lost his parents to one when they were on their way back from Malaysia, and he was one of the few to make it alive on the other side of the universe, near a grey, ashy lake that failed to show his reflection. He doesn't know how long it's been, but all he knows is that a life near the presence of a murky lake would be a decent beginning. It was time to stop searching for love in the hearts of others; in an isolated little secret that only he knew, he was bound to have to find love within himself.
