if rnm wasn’t written by cowards and dumbasses they would’ve realized sometime in season one that malex as a couple had the deepest and most compelling connection and the best chemistry of any romance on the show and prioritized them accordingly on that front while writing their plots around liz but y’know

literally the only way that “wedding” could have been less about malex is if they forgot to show one or both of them on screen

okay that last malex scene of them driving off and leaving roswell forever and never coming back was the only part i liked

just to summarize, no vows and no kiss at the altar, the wedding ceremony is about echo and the reception is about maria. maria almost certainly gets more screentime around the wedding than michael and alex combined.

the writers have, over and over, shown what’s important to them [it’s the straight people]

i know y’all know it but this show makes the absolute WORST choice every possible time

just shortchanging their best couple’s wedding as much as possible

they’re gonna have to “weekend at bernies” this fucking wedding because NOBODY REMEMBERED TO FUCKING HEAL ALEX

michael: i hate myself for being focused on going back to my home planet and forgetting about the home i’m supposed to be building here with you

alex: nah i’m dying so you can def go

michael: NO i will not allow you to die and i will NOT abandon you to work on other tasks

michael: forgets alex is dying

michael: abandons alex to go work on other tasks

michael: focuses on going back to his home planet

rosa deserves better and i hate this

glad to see michael no longer cares about alex again and kyle is too busy helping with other projects to notice if alex dies
