Lips twitch in a half smile and golden eyes narrow in thought as the boy squints at Orochimaru’s neat handwriting on each page. Not much made sense to him, but reading had always fascinated him. His hands fidget within the sleeves of his Yukata and it’s after a quiet moment of thought that he tilts his chin up to peer at his father.
‘ What is it you’re studying? ’
The boy has a natural curiosity about him and it made Orochimaru very satisfied. He did not mind the boy looking through his papers given he knew that the boy would never betray him. Watching the child more than the papers, he hums quietly and lays a hand on his son’s shoulder, reaching forth to grab a paper.
‘ Jutsu. I am currently trying to find a mix of certain ones. ‘
" Neee, you really are just a soft old man !!! "

Don't mind him if he slithers up and over into father's lap and makes himself comfortable, proceeding to be a very nosy son and poking about the research that's spread out on the desk.
‘ Curious, are we? Very well. ‘ Shifting only in slight, his arms would encase the boy as eyes scan the various scattered papers. It had taken getting used to but in the very end, having the boy around was something that kept him focused. Gently, he would pat the child’s head, the slightest smile appearing.
His son has arrived. Finally.
