———— 💖┊   ADMITTEDLY,   the blessing of pushing fans away as an "act" came with one pivotal bonus: no need to make eye contact. seldom would she dare stare into the depths of a bustling crowd, but past them. having the same treatment done to her was genuinely more of a blessing none would come to know.

their reward? a glimpse of those shark - like maws.   ❝ so, you buyin' riiight? ❞   she snickers, swinging her head violently in a pirouette towards their destination, a spring her her step bouncing those tendrils about.   ❝ only fair, 'cause i diiid tell you the place an' all... ❞   if you wait long enough for a "just kidding", you'd promptly shrivel up and witness the era of a new evolution.

Things were looking up for her already - she'd already started hitting it off with someone. Maybe moving here wasn't so bad after all! At this rate, she'd be back to her usual pace in no time- aaaand of course there's a catch. T'would be naive of her to think there wouldn't be a price. Suppose it wouldn't hurt to indulge; just once though.

"Alright, fine, just nothing too expensive. Cash is running a little tight right now so I can't go too ham with it." Usually an off-handed lie she'd use back at the plaza, but she was being genuine this time around. Relocating isn't cheap!

"Thanks." She relaxes her posture and slides her phone into her pocket, providing them her undivided attention. "And yeah, you could say that. I moved here a few weeks ago and this place still feels like a goddamn maze - how anyone manages to get around this place without getting lost, I don't know."

A sharp exhale shoots from her mouth - she'd finally learned her local area like the back of her hand and now she's back to square one. T'was not a feeling she missed, but no point in letting it get the best of them.

"Just looking for somewhere I can grab something relatively healthy - been meaning to try and branch out from the crap I usually have, y'know? Open to suggestions." Truth be told, she hadn't exactly been eating great for a long while now and it was starting to show, so now was probably the best time to try and rein herself back in. Who knows? Maybe they'll find something both healthy and tasty.

———— 🖤┊   FOR A TIME,   her gaze bores, eyes slow to blink, as if turning gears had long cried for lubing. there is comfort in familiarity, and quite confidently, she could say piro had changed little over the years. well. she'd welcome it, should that assumption be true, but piro's vibes, at least, still seemed pleasant.

returning to reality, lulling lids snap open, the blinks far faster.   ❝ s'all good, hon. ❞    a gritted, open maw displays shark - like teeth — like vicious stalactites and their twins.    ❝ waaait, you're seekin' healthy shit? fuck, uh... i'mma be honest, i don't look out for my weight like that. i dance it off anywho. y'got any allergies...? there's, like, a curry place i really dig. menu's un - fucking - readable, but that's how you know it's good shit. ❞   

Her mind started to wander a little amidst the chatter. Admittedly, she was rather entranced by the other's look. The huge spiraling tentacles, the color scheme, the outfit, the... everything - not to mention the sharp teeth they sported as well. While they could say they weren't jealous of the look... that'd be a rather bald-faced lie.

"Eh?" She finally snapped back to reality, hoping she wasn't caught staring off into space. "Oh, uh, yeah. Don't get me wrong, I can usually burn it off from all the shifts I work no problem, I just think it'd help kickstart it."

The whole 'unreadable menu' thing did throw her for a loop though - what did having a sign be illegible have to do with anything with the food being good? She'd take their word for it, sure, but the premise seemed rather bizarre. Might be worth asking later.

"Nah, no allergies - just a lil picky is all. Open to trying new things, though." A slight smirk appeared on her face - seems she was in for quite the treat.

The hustle and bustle of city life wasn't something she was exactly fond of - she'd been far more accustomed to the peace and quiet of her own abode all the way back in Inkopolis. But with savings slowly getting thinner and thinner and work moving to accommodate the newfound hype of Splatsville, she didn't exactly have much choice but to move; having to commute for hours on end every day wouldn't be fun nor cheap.

Admittedly, all the hustle and bustle of Splatsville reminded her of when Inkopolis Square was starting to liven up with fresh faces - a rather nostalgic feeling for her. Unfortunately for her, new places meant a lack of direction, and a lack of direction usually meant accidentally bumping into people or unintentionally blocking paths.

"Hm?" She peered down to see a figure much smaller than herself giving her quite the look. Safe assumption was that she was likely blocking the way again, so she'd excuse their tone for now.

"Oh, sorry, am I in the way again? I'm still getting used to this place."
