hey y’all. so, it’s been awhile and the world is on fire. i’ve been putting off doing this because i love gamora so much. she’s honestly one of my most favorite comic book heroes and i just...man. i want to return to writing her, but i don’t think i can do it on here. so, it’s not all bad news!

i’m going to be moving both gamora and natasha to my multimuse blog. they’ll probably be front and center on my muse page--but this way i can stay organized and i don’t have to hop from blog to blog. i’m hoping this move will encourage me to write more! so please, go ahead and follow my multimuse @steelhecrt​ ! both natasha and gamora will be moved over there. my new muse, pamela isley/poison ivy has her own blog @ncturewins​.

 As the dust clears on the final battle, the reality begins to set in. 3.5 billion people have just reappeared on the Earth – trillions of beings alive again throughout the universe. Shuri has Tony Stark rushed to Wakanda for emergency medical treatment. The radiation damage from the stones has left his arm beyond saving. He remains in a coma, critical but stable. He could wake up in a few days or a few months. No one really knows for sure, and he isnot here to tell us everything he willed in the moment he changed the universe. Steve Rogers puts off returning the Soul Stone to Vormir as long as he can, knowing in doing so he will be giving up the last connection to Natasha he has left. After clocking the Stonekeeper in the face, for old times’ sake, he climbs to the top of the cliff and drops the stone over the edge, before returning to the present where his friends are waiting for him. Mere moments after Steve returns, the platform comes to life once more. When the burst of light fades, they find Natasha Romanoff lying on the platform, badly injured but breathing. A soul for a soul, Bruce realizes, which is why he hadn’t been able to bring her back. Thor Odinson places Valkyrie in charge of the Asgardians on Earth but knows there must still be other out there. Joins up with the Guardians to help them track down Gamora in exchange for their help in bringing the Asgardian Diaspora together. What else has changed? Who else is out there? {☆} Amber eyes rake over the case, the glowing stones fill her with a sense of dread. She watched Thanos dissolve, die. It was OVER. But her eyes are drawn to one in particular. She should’ve left before the funeral. She didn’t know them, didn’t owe them anything.

But she stayed.

The blonde man would return the stones to their proper times. But she still has many questions. “...your friend DIED for the soul stone.” It was meant to be a question, but she’s positive it doesn’t come out that way. Gamora lifts her gaze and nods her head solemnly. She doesn’t know why, she can’t explain it.

But she feels a connection to that stone. Nebula had explained it (the future Nebula?) but it didn’t make any sense. “I am very sorry for your losses,” she whispers.

{☆} She doesn’t know any of these people. All she sees are allies. Warriors. Gamora fought side by side with these people and yet she doesn’t know their names. The one with the facial hair--not the TOUCHY one--the one who snapped his fingers, was a hero. One of the truest that she’d ever seen.

Perhaps she owes him something.

Gamora settles the little flower on the nightstand beside him, gazing at him through confused eyes. He was willing to risk everything, his entire life to save the galaxy. It was perplexing.

She clears her throat, hovering by the foot of his bed. “You killed Thanos,” she breathes out in disbelief.

   “Uhh, hey, Gamora? Could you help me out here?”
 Peter stood blearily in the middle of their cabin, scratching his head, fingers ruffling through the reddish-brown mess that was his hair. He squinted around suspiciously, clad in nothing but a t-shirt and a faded set of undergarments.
   “M’pretty sure I had a spare set of underwear, do you know where they are?”
 He wasn’t about to admit that yes, he should’ve picked up some new ones at the last stop like she told him to, and yes, this was exactly what she said would happen, but that conversation wasn’t on the table right now. At least not until he’d been awake longer than five minutes.
 Plus there were far cooler things to spend his units on, like the box of candies now lying empty on the bedside stand.

    Purposefully, she keeps her legs hidden beneath the blankets. Of course she knew where the spare set was--but he needed to sweat a little. One of the downsides of not listening to her when she told him to buy new ones. She’d found them in the middle of the night and slipped them on over her shorts. 

  “Did you check under the bed?”

   Gamora had warned him about this when they made their stop. Pick up the essentials first--focus on the frivolous next stop. Rocket, get extra wrenches. Mantis, grab more yara root. And Peter--get more underwear.

  But he didn’t listen and now he has to suffer the consequences. She sits up and watches him, amusement dancing in her amber eyes. Gamora arches a thin silver brow and rolls onto her side, keeping the blanket in place. 

  “Maybe Drax took them. It was his turn for laundry,” she suggests.
