Things I like about this decal on a restaurant window: -the insane orange waiter -that he’s carrying his plates in the air like a strongman -the couple looks like this isn’t the first time he’s done this, but it’s easier to just let it happen at this point. -the sign says PASTA as if he’s screaming it like a frankenstein -but he’s holding a plate of an entire chicken and a plate of wine glasses -there’s three wine glasses -one’s for him.

The African Renaissance Monument in Senegal, larger that the Eiffel tower and the statue of liberty .. Things you don’t see in mainstream media. @KrystVegaNeteru
This is beautiful.
I think this picture better illustrates the size of that monument.
I never even knew this existed this makes me so happy to find out about it
Argh, I seriously wish there was more on African Art movements in Art/Art History books. This monument was made back in 2006 for crying out loud! There’s so much that the art-historian in me is burning to say about this…But short story shorter, the movement known as African Renaissance is a relatively modern and multi-faceted concept, starting around the mid-20th century, even though more often than not it takes up such a small section of the so-called “Non-Western” classes at uni. Just the fact that we still treat the name of the class with such an Otherness mentality is so absurd and more than maddening, but there you have it folks. Sigh.
Getting too old for this…
"dont fight hate with hate" so u admit, u hate us?
"dont fight fire with fire" so u admit, u set the fire?
this is like when people say “feminists just want to switch the roles so women are above men instead!”
…so, you’re recognising that there is already an existing inequality and power imbalance

Simply watching Adventure Time is often enough to make us hungry for sweets, but now we have an actual edible Candy Kingdom to tantalize our tastebuds. This mouthwateringly awesome Gingerbread Candy Kingdom was made by Redditor IHaveAFluffyCat (who actually does have an adorable fluffy cat).
The amount of time, effort, and candy that went into this work of edible art is amazing. It’s beautifully detailed from top to bottom, but we’re particularly impressed by the Gumball Guardians, whose sugar glass heads contain real gumballs.
