PLEASE DO NOT TAG OR SEND TO NEIL GAIMAN

I made you a gift!

It's a cheesy bumpersticker style nudge to STOP SENDING NEIL GAIMAN

- fan therories about season 2/3

- your own theories about season 2/3

- other people's theories about season 2/3 (ESPECIALLY WITHOUT PERMISSION)

- your wants for season three

- things you don't want for season three (other people might want that!)

- YOUR FAN FICTIONS OR FAN ART

He has repeatedly asked not to bring these things to him. And even though his answers can be funny it can get him into legal trouble if what ends up in the show is similar to fan art/fics/creations

Please! Stop!

Bonus

Feel free to spread these around I'm so tired of the second hand embarrassment

Im very proud to say that all theories I have I keep strictly to myself.

Can you :D?

Btw - This sticker is so cool!

My favorite thing about Thirteen is that she just says shit. The word "disingenuous" isn't even in her vocabulary. Humans with almost no concept of alien life say, "You don't look like an alien"; she says, "Oh, I know, but you should see me when my body explodes and I turn into someone else!" She won't call her sonic screwdriver a screwdriver because, well, it's not a screwdriver. She'll casually tell anyone, in any place and time period, that she used to be a man, or, if it becomes vaguely relevant, that she's from another planet and travels through time in a spaceship. Graham tells her he's terrified of his cancer coming back; she says, "I'm sorry, I don't have an appropriate response. I'm going to go over here for a while and stare at a thing, and I'll let you know if I come up with one." Ryan tells her about his dad's failures as a parent; she meets Ryan's dad and goes, "Hello, Ryan's dad! You're a failure as a parent and a disappointment to your child." She's not socially awkward; she's socially chaotic.

I truly fucking despise the new season of Doctor Who being promoted as one that will be unique for showing the Doctor's queerness or whatever the fuck. There's this attitude under all this promo like the 15th Doctor is the first queer Doctor as if a) the 9th Doctor didn't kiss a man b) the Doctor didn't canonically change genders and c) when they were a woman was CANONICALLY in love with another woman. like HELLO??? I don't even like 13 and yaz that much and think they should've been written better, but there's something so misogynistic and revisionist about people acting like David Tennant saying Isaac Newton was hot in the anniversary special is "confirming the Doctor is queer" or that Ncuti's doctor will be the first queer Doctor. like...i hate it. This whole line of marketing reeks of Disney's "first Gay™" style marketing and I fucking hate it.

Me too, love, me too.

Although I actually adore Thirteen and Yaz (however I agree they could be written better).

Also - 12th short speech about gender and saying that he had a crush on the Master and making a point that they were both guys at the time.

10th saying that this guy in Daleks in Manhattan episode (season 3) can kiss him later.

Also this thing with Shakespeare. I could write more, but this is just from the top of my mind.

I never - NEVER - had any doubt in my mind that Doctor either is queer or doesn't give a damn about it. Or both.

Im scared of Disney. Before they got their hands on it in ANY WAY this show was just progressive. Now it is getting politically correct. I hope, really hope that this is just a marketing line and won't ruin it all.

evidence to consider:

VOTE FIRST BEFORE YOU READ MY RANT ON IT! please. So it would be accurate :)

Anyway!

I love to think that they would do it once. I really like to think it would happen somewhere between episodes 1 and 2 of the second season or right after the satans pit (and considering that it happened shortly before doomsday makes the scene on the beach so much more... Painful. Cuz - the evidence A above).

But the truth is they didn't.

DT said it once during an interview that's for start.

But we can choose not to believe it (cuz creators opinions changes during the years, in 2006 they were like yeah Doctor loved Rose, that was The Love of His Life tm, and then later she became "girl he dared to almost fell in love with")

We know Doctor is asexual. That for one makes it all so much less probable. (Not impossible tho)

About first evidence from above - at first I thought he was like "oh god, u are not having our baby are u?".

But I do not think he could get her pregnant in the first place. And for sure not without them planning this whole process. They are, after all, different spieces. And it is hard to cross breed. He's a genius tho, if she wasn't mortal, and he was willing to start family again (I firmly believe he doesn't want to because of the pain of potentialy loosing everyone again) he would find a way.

People were crossing humans with animals and it was kinda succsessful, and we are mere humans with our tiny technology. Imagine what he could do with that huge brain of his, technology across time and space and his TARDIS.

So yeah now I think that face of his was more of a "you moved on so quickly you have another man and carry his child?". (It is even worse now...)

About evidence B - I personally like to think that Rose was very comfortable around the Doctor. Including being naked or nearly naked in front of him. Not that she would strip on purpose (ya know ~~) but like he walked on on her once, or they went for a swim somewhere, or he had to patch her up or she just went to the console room in her PJ. I think she knew that Doctor was not into sex so she was safe even without clothes. But he was also all about knowing stuff and studing stuff so I can imagine him asking Rose one day to let him study her. They would have a lot of laughs about it.

Also the fact he wasn't into sex doesn't mean he didn't do any physical contact. I bet they hugged a lot. Maybe he even let her sleep on him once or twice. He would read a book or train his patience xD (and isn't that a perfect opportunity to learn someones features?)

Well anyway - she was comfortable and he is a very quick study thats why he knew her so damn well he could make a statue. To me.

I also like to think (and it is my HC) that he wanted to have sex with Rose, but just for her. Like this is for some humans like an ultimate level of intimacy right? Some of them even say a proof of love. And he does love her, undeniably. And we know that he wants all the best for her even if it means without him or will cause him pain or worse. So I can imagine him trying to be very physical with her at some point but failing. Rose would also stop him because she loved him even more and she would never press him into doing something uncomfortable. Not even for her. And Rose definetly would want to go to bed with the Doctor. (Cmon who wouldn't) I bet she had some fantasies about it. I read a fianfic once and the autor wrote something among the lines that "simple act of handholding with him was more exciting than any of her sex life so she was willing to forgo this entirely" just to be close to him. I love this vision and it suits Rose entirely. So I think she wants to, she has fantasies but never acts on them. And he knows about it.

Also... We don't know (or more like I do not, cuz im still fresh in the Fandom :) feel free to inform me on the subcjet) the ways Doctor can be intimate with someone. I said that sex can be viewed as an ultimate form for humans, but he is not one.

We know that he is telepathic, so maybe that is the way for him.

Anyway! Conclusions

I do not think they fucked in canon. But I do believe (and Im willing to die on that hill) they were very intimate with each other in their own ways.

Hate it with a burning passion when people make the Doctor get a “human name” as TenToo… reminds me of corn or whatever the fuck that name was

Avatar
x-lucifera

I don't like it either. I mean the idea that he HAS TO have a human name. He doesn't.

He could tho. Pick a name. If he truly wanted to. I can imagine him wanting to, you know, blend in. To have that "one adventure he could never have" to full extent.

I can imagine Pete making him pick a name for paperwork in their world. He would use it for everybody he doesn't like. (In this scenario I can imagine Doctor making Pete use the "human" name for a while as a form of very petty punishment. He would also not react to it on purpose sometimes. )

I can also imagine him picking a different name for every occassion just to mess with people. Rose ofc would know, and fully support that mischief :3

But in any scenario I bet it wouldn't be Smith. Sure Sarah Jane was a Smith, but Ricky was a Smith too. And he used to be Rose's boyfriend. So, just sayin...

Regardless, I also believe that Rose would continue calling him Doctor. Or by his birth name, when alone, at night. I firmly believe he told her his name when they got married.

And I believe that no matter if he got a human name or not, he took Rose's last name after marriage.

AITA for pawning my clone off on my ex?

I (900'sTL) used to travel with this girl (24F). We had a sort of situationship (more complicated than that, but there's a character limit) until she got stuck in a parallel universe with her family but without me. For context she is human and won't live as long as me even if we could be together. So she found her way back to me. It was really nice to see her again, I'd missed her a lot. Unfortunately the reason she could come back was that there was something threatening every universe, including ours and hers. While we were dealing with that, my best friend (40-ish?F) accidentally combined some of her DNA with my hand and created a clone (0TL/H) of me. Because she is human, the clone turned out to be human. He also happened to kill a bunch of aliens right after this. I thought sending him to live with my ex in the parallel universe was a win/win situation. I can't live in the same universe as my clone; we'd never get along. And he's going to age at the same rate as her, so they can live out the rest of their lives forever. However, I am now very sad and lonely, and I'm beginning to wonder whether I did the right thing. AITA?

I am simultaneously deliriously in love with the ending of Loki season 2 and absolutely loathe it

On one hand…Shakespearean tragedy at its finest, essentially circling back to Loki’s original Thor 2011 character arc by reversing it, and Loki has literally ascended to godhood. In the end, Loki’s ultimate selfless sacrifice was to sit upon the highest throne in the multiverse, and that to me is tragically ironically beautiful

On the other hand…Loki being alone makes me want to burn Marvel studios to the ground and do other unspeakable things

Best and worst ending of all time f u Eric Martin

Kind of hysterical to me that Steven Moffat, famously the most sexist of the nuwho showrunners, is also the only one to get the Doctor's transgenderism right.

Both Chibnall and RTD seem(ed) so stuck on regeneration being a binary switch. That while their body can change they are always inline with it, and in that way cisgender.

But god for all his faults Moffat did write the Doctor and Missy with a certain disconnect from humanity and human gender.

Like yes Missy played into being a woman but it was always a performance, SHE knew she was above it but she loved the way she could use it to fuck with humans.

Then with 12 you have Capaldi's whole performance and that lovely moment with Bill. Like ofc it was less explicit than we just got with RTD, but for being stories that are what nearly a decade old now? It was fucking AMAZING and what we did get was so good and so on point with the doctor's nonbinary identity.

Obviously he doesn't come close to whatever the Eighth doctor writers were on in the edas. But in terms of modern who? Damn I miss 'we are so far above your petty human obsession with gender'. I want that kind of nonbinary-ism back please. please...

This ^

Precisely this.

I miss these times when the rule "show not tell" was an actual rule and we could see all that, and the conversation between Doctor and Bill was just a cherry on top, not a nessesary point of a story.

I do not like the explicity of this new episode (Im still reffering to S14SE01 the Star Beast because I can't get myself into watching the next ones) It's boring and unnessesary and it flatens Roses character (imo).

Do not get me wrong - I have absolutely nothing against queerness. I just feel like they (writters) considered the audience stupid. Like - this part couldn't be written less explicit (and, therefore, simply better) because we (the audience) wouldn't understand it. Stupid people wouldn't understand unless it is showed that up their faces. And I don't like it.

And don't get me started on that "Oh u would understand if u werent male presenting" while we know the gender presenting has nothing to do with Doctors ability to let things go.

In summary - yes, bring the Moffat Era nonbinary-ism back. Plz.

Or ask Neil Gaiman how to do it, cuz his GO2 was a bloody masterpiece. In general, but in this case I mean the inclusiveness and all gender related stuff.

I feel odd... I didn't love the special episode (Season 14, special 1).

I mean it was great until at some point when it got so... Netflix-styled awful, then great again from the moment when they showed the TARDIS.

I was heavily disapointed by this episode, felt like half of it was unesesary or could be executed better, or they could hire someone else (actually a specific someone) to write it... Still liked it tho.

But I don't love it, and it looks like everybody just... Are just over the moon with it and it all is so perfect, and couldn't be better, and oh this is the "true" Doctor and on and on.

I feel bad about this not-loving situation.

And anxious that if I say it aloud I will be eaten alive.
