And that's the end! I can't believe we've already made it to the end of RarePair Week 🥺 and with a full year to wait until the next one! I hope everyone has enjoyed the absolutely STUNNING entries that everyone's been putting out, seriously everybody is so TALENTED!! I can't wait to see how everyone ends their week with this prompt tbh, I know it's gonna be a lot of fun!

As for second of my two final entries, I figured since I started with something fun and lighthearted, I'd end with something fun too! And what better way to do that than with a redraw of one of my favorite Musical Episode™ scenes ever: Super Friends, from The Flash! And once I decided that this was the route I was gonna go with, I knew there was no better pair for it than Benji and Emily! I don't know if y'all have noticed from my... everything, but I have some Ideas™ about the sexualities (and genders but that's not super relevant right here) about some of these characters, and one of them... is that you can pull Queerplatonic duo Benji and Emily from my cold, dead, ace hands. 😂 I know PP2 tried to sell them as a romantic ship, and while I don't necessarily mind that, tbh I feel like, while they might have, like, a nice solid life long bond, I don't really see it as a romantic one ya know? So I headcanon both of them as some kind of ace and maybe aro, and in the Big Damn Fic™ they're hanging out in the background in LA as platonic roomies!

They're back, Pitches! As promised, here is part 2 to the Chaubrey drawing I posted for Day 2 (which you can find here!), aka the Bonus Post for today's prompt! That's right, folks, today I'm bringing you TWO rarepairs for the price of one! (Or, well, technically three if you count the Jeca nods in this one, but they got their own pair of days so we're letting the others shine here!)

As I mentioned in the first post, the background Chaubrey storyline from my little pocket AU is that they get together over the course of planning Beca and Jesse's wedding, culminating in them finally revealing their feelings to each other at the wedding reception. This is the moment that all is revealed! The Bellas collectively decided to do a reprise of that iconic original mashup from the empty Barden pool as one of their performances for the reception, with Aubrey and Chloe taking the leads once again (and with everyone wearing their Bella scarves on their left wrists in honor of Beca 🥺). And what a perfect song choice for the pair of them! 🥺🥺 This is THE Chaubrey song for me tbh, so you know I had to give this to them! Then, after the performance is over and they've given each other enough heart eyes to give an elephant diabetes, they sneak off to actually talk and verbally confirm that, yep, I was singing that to you babe, turns out I'm super into red heads, who knew???

And then they definitely get caught making out 20 minutes later 😂 Fat Amy is gonna be telling that story for years to come (including at their wedding a year later, because Chloe definitely caught the bouquet and, well, sometimes the universe gives you a sign and, who are they to deny the universe something?)

Oh our rare pair hearts!!! This Jeca art is so sweet, we absolutely adore this and it fits so well for todays prompt!! We’ve had a healthy dose of angst for today and this was such a welcome and sweet change of pace 🥺💖

Behold: the reason This Love (Taylor's Version) was my #1 song on my Spotify Wrapped this year, and likely 50% of the reason Taylor was my #1 artist as well.

When I say this fic has had me in a chokehold I mean that literally. I have been working on this thing for months. MONTHS! This is, to date, the longest single fic I have ever written, and it's barely even halfway done!

So, while I am aware that the target audience for a fic about a rarepair ship that approximately 75% of the fandom has as a NOTP (no judgement, I get it, we've all got one), written in Second Person POV no less, is uh... Miniscule, to say the least.

I will not be shutting up about this, actually. You will appreciate this, so help me god.

(I'm joking. Mostly. I wrote this thing entirely for myself but also please someone else read it I need more people to scream about this with besides two ride-or-die friends, my therapist, and a particularly supportive grandmother. I'm desperate here. 😭)

We were talking about how odd it is that the main canon ship for Pitch Perfect is a rare pair, but when you write such a wonderful fic it’s hard to remember why!! None of us here are Jeca shippers, but honestly this fic is so sweet we might reconsider!! 💖
