Chapter: 33 Summary: Lost, foundโฆ what's in a name?
(Art by @aoi-kanna !!! Thank you so much!! ๐ฅฐ)
my partner doesnโt use pet names nearly as much as i do, which is very funny because i will crack my gay little knuckles and say some shit like โgood morning my sun and moon, my loveliest boy, my baby my sweetheart my darling dearestโ and he will reply โhello adrianโ

It's really fucked up when you treat characters like people and people like characters.
No seriously it's REALLY fucked up when you treat characters as if they were real live people while you treat people like they're just characters.
Seeing this getting reblogged by people who think this is about RPF: no, my children. No. RPF is not fucked up; sending your stories to the people you're writing fic about isn't great, but there is no moral failing in thinking that two people look sexy together. There's no moral failing in writing a story, or making art, about how they might look sexy together. (Or if it is, it's one that the frickin' frackin' Bronte sisters were indulging in, and their stuff is on display at the British Library.)
No, what's fucked up is treating a person โ someone you're interacting with online, say โ as though they're a character who exists merely for you to say something unkind to. It's treating them like they are not people just the same as you are. (And maybe it's a little bit about treating yourself as a character โ the main character, in your ongoing play about yourself.)
If we're going to be kinder to each other, let's at least address where the real unkindness comes from.
K so not to be dramatic or anything, but there's a free vintage French pattern book available on antiquepatternlibrary so if you like to crochet/weave/make pixel art/tie epic friendship bracelets don't walk- RUN.
It has scenes from aesop's fables! Cherubs doing things! Beheadings! Greek muses! Little farm people! Intricate floral pattern! Goth stained-glass window like patterns! Fun little corner pieces! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee

@knottybliss patterns!
Oooooh I gotta check this site out
I can't believe more people don't know about the antique pattern library! All those public domain, vintage handiwork books and magazines are scanned in pdf format, and FREE TO DOWNLOAD! Languages include French, Italian, German, and English. It just does need to be mentioned that most of the earlier English publications are British, so American users need to make sure to convert the instructions as necessary. Especially crochet instructions, where a British double crochet is an American single. No, I don't know why ๐คฃ
Publications include (for those who can't see the picture) :
Battenberg Lace, Beading, BerlinWork, Bobbin lace, Bookbinding (yes, bookbinding!!!)
Calligraphy, Carpentry, Crochet, Cross Stitch, Cutwork
Drawing, Dressmaking
Embroidered Net, Embroidery
Filet, Filet Crochet, Flower Arranging
Glass
Hardanger
Irish Crochet
Knitting, Knotting
Lace (soooo many forms of lace making)
Macrame
Paper, Point Lace
Quilting
Ribbonwork
Sewing

You don't have to apologize, or perform authorial disgust, for dark, violent, sexual, cruel or problematic topics in the fiction you create.
Fiction does not exist to teach an audience a moral lesson. You as an author are not required to be your audience's moral teacher.
You can have bad things happen-- you can have a protagonist who is bad-- without having to explain to your audience that they are bad.
