my over a year hiatus is laughing at this

haikyuu is really important and dear to me so i WANT to stay close to it, no matter how long i have to wait for more content. I just rewatch the anime and read the manga again, and watch the stage plays (cause they’re fucking amazing, perfect cast is perfect a+++)

along with major writer’s block it’s kind of difficult to stay in contact with it if i don’t regularly watch or read anything so that’s sth i’m kicking myself to do. plus! rereading/-watching is always a nice way to study characters!

ALSO IT DIDN’T END!! there’s talk about season 4 and the manga is still ongoing and a new stage play is in works so that also keeps me going. knowing that it’s not over yet.

It was Friday and you two had just come home to an empty house because hisparents were gone for the weekend and you would keep him company.

After the week you had you were looking forward to some peace and quiet,some alone time with your boyfriend without school, practice, fans or anythingelse getting in the way of the cuddles and tranquility you demanded for thenext few days.

It wasn’t like your days were constantly action packed, but being ableto just sit back and relish the intimacy of it being just you two was something you had missed for a while now. Schoolwas keeping everyone busy in their last year and you both had your own trainingand practices and hobbies and friends to get to on top of that.

So yes, you were not going to let anything ruin this weekend for you, dammit!

In the midst of hanging up your jacket, you were about to ask Oikawa whathe wanted to drink, when you heard a loud thud and then his jacket came sailingover your head. You were impressed it landed right.

“I vote today to be pajama day.”

Eyebrows drawn together in both confusion and amusement, you turned aroundand saw his back retreating to his room.

“The day is almost over!”, you called after him, but you didn’t get ananswer.

Chuckling to yourself you shook your head and went to the kitchen to getsome food started. Since this wasn’t your first time at his house you knewpretty well where everything was and it didn’t take long to prepare somesandwiches while the tea was boiling.

After loading the plates and cups onto a tray, you carried it to the livingroom, setting it down on the coffee table. You were just about to call for yourboyfriend – kind of worried since he had been gone for a while now – when yousuddenly felt a body connect with yours. Having no way to brace yourself youlet the momentum throw you onto the couch – a weird noise of surprise may ormay not have escaped you –, the darling boyfriend himself on top of you.

“What-“ Before you could finish your sentence, it got turned into asurprised shriek by an onslaught of affection given in the form of a raspberryblown straight onto your wide open neck.

Whilst trying to keep Oikawa at bay – who was cackling at your helplessstate – you also attempted to form a coherent sentence and tell him to stop butit was a fruitless effort.

When he gave you a break for a moment, you were choking back tears oflaughter which is why you saw the affectionate smile he was giving you only veryblurrily.

Oikawa waited a few seconds for you to get your breathing back undercontrol, before he went back in to nuzzle against your abused neck and placekisses on the spots he had basically attacked earlier.

Only now did you notice that he was already wearing his pajamas and whenyou were just about to remind him of what you had wanted to say earlier, hespoke up.

“The whole weekend will be pajama day,” he said and smiled down at you.You pretended to not let it affect you but damn it was hard.

“The whole weekend?”, you questioned and brought a hand up to rest inhis soft hair. While that was exactly what you wanted, you needed to know if heactually meant it. After all, Oikawa wasn’t known for laying low for a longertime than necessary.

He nodded. Then he smirked and pushed himself back on his legs, pullingat your arms to get you to follow. When he had pushed you into a standingposition, his hands grabbed your hips and spread over the slight skin that wasshowing since your little fight had pushed your shirt up.

Pulling you back in, he nuzzled his face into your stomach – you completelywelcomed the feeling of intimacy and comfort it gave you, and also the kick ofprotection you felt for the boy in front of you – and pressed a kiss to yourcovered skin, just above your belly button.

“Now go change,” he said and you felt his smile turn a bit wider, “or I'lldo it for you.”

Eyes flitted to the clock on the nightstand. Upon seeingthe early hours of almost three in the morning, you pulled yourself into asitting position and rubbed your droopy eyes. A yawn escaped between your chappedlips and while your hand unconsciously reached for the water bottle next to youon the floor, your eyes were drawn to the light emitting from the screen a fewfeet away from you.

The water bottle now forgotten, you looked at theclock once more and sighed. After a few seconds of contemplation, you spoke up.

“It's almost 3 am, why don’t you come to bed now?”

Oikawa didn’t react immediately. Only once thecurrent rally in the match he was so intently watching had ended, did he giveyou a moment of his attention.

“The match is almost over,” he said with a quicklook over his shoulder in your direction. When he saw your sleepy form hunchedover, he softened. “Go back to sleep, use the bed space while you can.” He smiled,it didn’t quite reach his eyes, and then went back to the game.

Your body still felt slightly heavy and sluggish,so it took a few seconds for you to gather the blankets around you, but thenyou crawled over to your boyfriend.

Throwing one of the blankets over his shoulders,you ignored the way he flinched at first, clearly not having expected it, and tookthe other, lying down with your head in his lap, eyes closed.

“There's plenty of room under the blankets.”

It was a mere mumble but Oikawa heard you andrelaxed his shoulders again. Laying one hand on your head, gently combingthrough your head – and effectively lulling you back to sleep – he bent down topress a lingering kiss on your temple and then went back to the final set ofhis match.

Imagine him accidentally swapping jerseys with the girls’volleyball captain and he just shows up with a crop top saying it shrunk in thewashing machine. With a completely straight face cause no way in hell will he tellthem he was stupid enough to grab the wrong jersey after he woke up thismorning.

Kuroo Tetsurou //

“We’re gonna be late! Just letme- dammit, Tetsurou!”

Losing your balance when he tuggedon your waist, you fell back against him. It took him an eighth of a second to wraphis arms around you, successfully trapping you against him.

“The teachers won’t notice ifwe’re a little late,” he said, nuzzling back into your neck. His hair tickledyou and despite your annoyance you had to giggle at that.

Weaving your fingers throughhis hair, you gave it a gentle tug to make him look at you. When he gave an obviouslyexaggerated moan, you rolled your eyes and pushed his face away. “Doesn’t matter.I’m not the last in the classroom again. Come on, let’s go.”

Class had ended a bit laterthan usual and you missed the start of practice. You ended up sprinting throughthe halls, wrestling on the club jacket and not noticing that it kind of hungoff your frame in a way that definitely should’ve made you stop and think. Insteadyou opted for increasing your speed and only narrowly missing a group ofstudents coming out of their classroom.

It didn’t take you more than twominutes at most to reach the gym the boys where already training in. Heavilybreathing you jogged over to the sidelines, dodging a stray ball coming yourway and sat down next to old Nekomata who laughed heartily at your heavingchest.

“You didn’t miss much, ____-san,”he said, the skin around his eyes crinkling even more upon seeing you hunchover to get air back into your lungs. “Besides, these boys will most probably survive a fewminutes without you, so don’t worry about rushing.”

You nodded and after taking abig sip of your water, you stood back up to help gather the spiked balls backinto the cart.

Just when you let the twoballs in yours arms fall into the pile, you felt another one whizzing past yourear and jumped back, surprised because you were no where near the other courthalf.

Footsteps approached you and you saw Kuroo – Of course, you thought– jogging up to you, that god damn smirk on his face.

“Sorry about that, my handslipped.” He patted your head. “Are you okay? Hurt anywhere?”

You rolled your eyes and reachedup to move his hand but held onto his wrist a bit longer than necessary. “Theball didn’t even hit me,” you said smiling, “but I appreciate the concern.”

Kuroo mirrored your smile andopened his mouth to respond but before he could you both heard a loud “WOAH!”and turned around. You quickly let go of his wrist.

Having seemingly just landedafter his spike, Lev was pointing a finger at you both with wide and excitedeyes. “Isn’t that your jacket, Kuroo-san?!”

You were stunned for a secondand watched everyone turn in your direction, before you hesitantly looked down yourselfat yourself.

Shit.

He was right.

Your mind went into overdrive butthere was not a single thought coming to you why you’d ever have to wear Kuroo’sjacket. Without telling them that apparently you had grabbed the wrong oneafter making out in an empty classroom.

Fuck, fuck.

While you could see Yamamoto’sand Inuoka’s eyes getting wide, already assuming the most – and they werecorrect but like that wasn’t the point – you quickly opened your mouth to denyit. But let’s be honest what would you have said? No, mine just stretched?

Thankfully Kuroo beat you toit.

He placed a calming hand onyour shoulder. “We walked to school together this morning and she had forgottenher jacket, so I lent her mine.” With a tilted head and lazy grin he added “Don’timmediately jump to conclusions, guys.”

“Did she forget her jacket atyour place?”, Yaku called from the sidelines and everyone looked over at him. Heheld up your jacket which hadapparently been lying on Kuroo’s bag.

It was quiet for a secondbefore Lev, Inuoka and Yamamoto started acting like a scared up bunch of wildanimals while the rest either watched you and Kuroo with surprised looks orseemed unfazed.

Kuroo rubbed the back of hisneck, speechless, and you could see a faint dusting of blush on his cheeks andquickly hid your face behind the labels of his jacket, knowing you didn’t lookany less affected.

This was definitely not how you had planned to come out to them

I feel like both boys would definitely not stay there or gothere in the first place if they knew about their s/o’s anxiety. So I tried tothink of places where you couldn’t just walk always or leave immediately.
