You sighed as you put your school bag down by your desk, slowly stretching your aching muscles. Your mom has been bugging you about when you were planning on visiting, saying it’s been months since they’ve last seen you, which you’ll admit is very true. College has been stressful lately and you hardly had a free day, and if you did they were spent studying. So staying with them for a weekend seemed like the best option. You didn’t have any classes on the weekend and you honestly had nothing better to do. Plus, you really weren’t in the mood to cook dinner or waste money on buying takeout so why not drop by your childhood home?
Laying down on your bed, you just stared at your ceiling wondering what exactly was for dinner. Were you having your favorite? Or were they going to make your least favorite food? A horrified expression appeared when you thought that. Would they do that to you just because you haven’t been visiting? God, you sure hoped they wouldn’t.
Your mother could be heard calling for you from the living room, “Y/n! Would you be able to come here for a second?” You groaned not really looking forward for the walk down the stairs. After dinner the hall started to empty itself, the most students still had homework to do or wanted to hang out in their common rooms or wanted to go out and enjoy the last hours sunshine. Y/N walked behind Regulus and his friends out of the hall when she heard someone call her name. “Y/N! Y/N, wait”,it was Sirius who called for her. She stopped and turned around. Sirius and his friends walked up to her. “You were late to dinner, where were you?”, asked Sirius, while throwing his arm over her shoulder. They all started to walk towards the lake. “I was with Regulus,” Y/N started to explain and she already felt how Sirius begann to tense. “He tried to explain transfiguration to me.” “He just tried?”, James laughed and Y/N couldn’t help and laughed too. “He really tried, it’s just a difficult subject at the moment.” She could feel Sirius relaxing again. “I can help you. I had an O in every transfiguration exam”, said Sirius with a smirk. He loved to show that he was better than his brother. Y/N smiled. “I’d like that. Tomorrow evening in the library?” “Sure”, Sirius smiled and watched as she walked away. She truly was beautiful. “Close your mouth, you start to drool”, said Remus, who had watched quietly, with a smirk. “Shut up, Moony.”

He found out when he walked through the corridors and saw his brother pinning Y/N against a wall. He wanted to walk up to them and say something, because he thought Sirius was threatening Y/N. But he immediately stopped after he heard Y/N speak up. “I love you”, she said with a dreamy smile and closed her eyes. Sirius looked at her face. He couldn’t believe he got so lucky to have her. “I love you too”, Sirius smiled and kissed her slowly.
Regulus was angry. Angry she didn’t told him. Angry his brother got her, because she deserved better. And angry, because he wasn’t fast enough to get her.

Regulus felt like he was frozen, he couldn’t move nor could he say any of the things he wanted to say so badly. Y/N closed her eyes as Sirius leaned down to kiss her. Sirius broke the kiss and started kissing Y/N’s neck. He stopped and looked up, Y/N had her eyes still closed. Her lips were still a bit puffy from the kiss.
Then something happend, that Regulus never wanted to happen, his brother saw him. First Sirius was a confused, but then he understood. He understood everything, and he enjoyed it. Sirius smirked. He started kissing Y/N’s neck again till she moaned his name and her arms dropped to his shoulders. Then Sirius looked again to his brother, who by now was livid, and started kissing her again. Regulus couldn’t stand it anymore and walked away, but not without glaring at his brother.
He lost the girl he loved to his brother.
