An Update (March 31, 2018)

January 15, 2018

Sorry for the lack of communication. It is mentally exhausting at times and emotionally stressful to read and reply, but that’s no excuse for ghosting people.

I received more replacement stock. I’m sending out the last of the orders throughout the rest of the month. Please check your emails.

In the interest of expediting matters, I’ve been sending out confirmation emails about the following:

I plan to have all emails out sent by this week/next week (January 27th). Once I receive a reply email, I can then process all requests as well as ship everything out in a timely manner. My goal is to have everything shipped by February 5th.

Once these are settled, I plan to release the remaining stock to the general public as well as release ideas for this year (it’s also bad form to release future ideas when my current batch of orders still haven’t been fulfilled). Right now, I'm only focusing on sending these emails and receiving replies from said email. Once everything is shipped out, I'll focus on social media and other emails as my next priority. I thank you for your patience.

Still answering emails and processing refunds. Will continue working on them. 

Ordered more shipping labels, should arrive Monday/Tuesday.

Statement (September 28, 2017)

Hi All:

First of all, I would like to apologize to @immochiball and @papurrcat for my disappearance. Please don’t let my (in)actions reflect on them.

That said, the reason for my non-responsiveness was that I had to deal with personal problems… health-wise, emotional-wise, and mental-wise. This is not an excuse; it is just an explanation for my disappearance. Rest assured I have your items and your money – should you still want to receive them or if you have been requesting a refund. I am not here to steal your money or scam you; I just had some… difficulty finding the strength to get up and function.

I will be responding to your emails, tweets, and messages on Thursday and Friday about the status of your order or refund. I will be processing refunds on Friday and Saturday. For Friday through Sunday, I will be packaging and sending out tracking details. I will have help over the weekend to get everything out by Tuesday at the latest.

Again, I apologize for my inaction and non-responsiveness.

For those who are curious, yes, the RainbowHEDA replacement hats have arrived and they now sport the correct embroidery.

If I run out of more coins (aka encounter more “smudgy” writing/artwork), I will be ordering another batch.

For @papurrcat’s artbooks, I have ordered an extra batch for those who have been “ruined” (aka folds/creases).

For those who are inquiring about the plushies, @immochiball and I are still working on the prototypes (here’s an update from @immochiball about it: http://bit.ly/2yLEGom). Just wanted to remind you that plushies haven’t been charged to your accounts, so if you’d like to cancel, that’s fine. We haven’t charge your accounts as we promised in our FAQs.

I thank you for your eternal patience and understanding. I hope there will be a day in the future, where I can earn back the rapport and trust that was broken.

July 31, 2017 Update

Hi all:

Almost done with the orders. We ran out of boxes and labels and we should be restocked on Monday and sending more packages and envelops out. Please check your emails. Scheduled mail pick-up is Wednesday and Saturday, so check your emails for the correct addresses and that your order is correct/complete. We’ll keep you updated if we have more mail pick-ups.

We also ran out of the free Lexacoon/Lion Clarke pins and have ordered more, so we’re putting in vouchers so people can order/claim them in the future.

Please check your package completely; we’ve included raffle tickets and coupon codes for free shipping, free pins, discount codes, etc. We thank you for your patience. Raffle prizes will include: custom funkos, signed items (books, funkos shirts, hats, etc.), prototype items, and never released items.

To remind you, the RainbowHeda hats were made incorrectly, so we will be sending those out at a later time (once we receive the correct hats). We have reordered some more coins as well, as we are running low (reason for that is some coins have blemishes on them and we don’t want to send them out to you).

We are refunding items/cancelled orders as we move along. We appreciate your patience and understanding and we apologize for all our delays. This has been a huge hassle for you and we are sorry for that. We are changing our procedures now and will try to refrain from doing pre-orders in the future and instead have items in stock and ready to ship within a week.

Lastly, we are still losing emails sent to us due to server change/spam. We are creating a form submission instead (using Google Forms) so that we may timely respond to any of your concerns.

Update: July 13, 2017

The site will be fully updated and functional once all shipments are out. This means any remaining stocks, books, coins, and pins will be put up for order. Keep watching this site. Estimated re-opening of orders is July 24, 2017.

‪Anybody remember this picture from Tumblr? Anyway, we're experiencing site/email problems. ‬ The solution is always the one you overlook. Never forgot about domain renewals. Smh. Sorry for any general panic. We're working on getting our site and emails back up. If you tried to contact us recently, that's probably why we haven't gotten back to you. It's also probably why you haven't received our email or seen the new site. We have not disappeared. While we have workers back from the holiday to continue/expedite packing and shipping, I'll be sorting out the site and emails today. Thank you for the person who notified us that the site was down.

May 29, 2017 Update

Ok, so it's starting to sounds like a repeated canned apology, but I sincerely apologize for ALL the delays. But I will make up for that. 

What's Up?

As mentioned, GumShoeGeek is now an LLC and moving to an official office. Also as mentioned, I was initially supposed to quit my job in April and focus full time on GumShoeGeek to better my communications and shipping. Unfortunately, that did not happen, as my replacement quit and I had to stay on to replace their replacement. But good news, today is my last day as a government worker. I can now focus on shipping in a timely manner.

I also apologize if I haven't replied to your emails. I was moving the site and the emails and business accounts to another server and I found out it wasn't working. I really, really apologize for a huge delay in responding as well as shipping. 

I will be heading to Frankfurt for PolarisCon (after canceling on Dortmund, Vancouver, and London). If you have any orders and you will be at Frankfurt, email me your order number and I'll bring them with me (yay, you don't have to pay VAT.)

Papurrcat Art Books

I have them. They're signed by Papurrcat. I had to order backing for them because when I initially packed them they bent in the mail. Shipping will resume on June 8 when I return from Frankfurt.

Coins

I have them. I ordered another batch (and they were not up to par - especially the helm coin - the writing smeared on them). Shipping will resume on June 8 when I return from Frankfurt.

Hats

They are stateside. I'm just waiting for a call from customs to tell me they've inspected it and want to collect import tax (which I'll then promptly pay). Once that's done, it'll be delivered to me and I'll start shipping. Customs usually take 3-5 business days, but possibly 10-15 days if it's flagged by customs. If I don't receive it by today, I won't have time to grab things to bring to Frankfurt. If I don't get it in time, shipping will start on June 8 when I return from Frankfurt.

Why did I take so long?

I'm sorry. Things were not connecting this year and I really do apologize for that.

If you would like a refund or have a requested a refund, I will definitely give that refund to you.

For those who have waited ever so patiently, please keep a lookout in your packages. It'll have extras such as pins and raffle tickets. Keep holding on to that raffle tickets. Prizes will include signed memorabilia (like Funkos and hats), prototype hats and prototype coins and cases.

What now?

I'll be shipping frantically when I get back from Frankfurt. Mochiball and I are still working on the plushies as well as other things like coins/coin cases, pins, t-shirts and hats/beanies. We're already planning for Clexacon 2018. I am working on other fandom designs as well.

Once all items are shipped, I'll open the shop for leftover hats and coins and pins as well as re-open Papurrcat art book pre-orders.

Postcards

Who wants postcards from Reykjavik/Frankfurt? I'll send some if I have time.

‪Will send out an email update and post it as well. ‬(ETA Thursday) (But yes, hats are on track for May. Just got shipping notification. Now we wait for US arrival/customs.)

Apologies you guys. Had to return to old job as a temporary worker as my replacement... quit. Plus took a couple of days off to visit mom. Normal operations resume tomorrow (Thursday).
