The Life That You’ve Lost
So yesterday I saw a gifset of this scene
And I had to write a drabble about Emma’s thoughts and feelings. So here you go.
title: The Life That You’ve Lost
summary: see above
rating: LF for leap of faith
word count: almost 1k
She knew it. From the moment he stepped into her apartment and into her life in his ridiculous pointed boots and his bizarre leather outfit that looked so oddly not weird on him, she knew that he means trouble, that her life was going to be turned upside down.
I knew what it was about as soon as I read the title on my Ao3 email feeds! I've always loved how you can manage to incorporate all the meaningful quotes from the series in your fics.
Wonderful worm, as always!
.
I want it all
.
A/N: a little baby fic. If you catch my drift.
.
It’s a conversation that’s a while in the making.
Only partly because of Emma’s own reluctance to broach the subject.
They’ve come a long way, the pair of them, truths and fears and uneasy declarations slip from lips nowadays far more easily than they ever did before. But that’s not entirely the point. The point is that it’s still a difficult conversation, the point is that there are still some things she’s afraid of. Hard things are still hard with or without courage. Hard things still form a misshapen lump in her throat – with or without his encouraging hand in hers, with or without the cursory kisses to her temple.
With or without that thick feeling in her heart when she thinks about the two of them as some sort of perpetual thing.
It’s just a different kind of hard.
(She loves him too much for it to be anything but.)
And All This Devotion (1/1)
Happy Valentine’s Day, @once-upon-a-captain-swan!
Hi, dollface! I’m your CSSV and had so much fun writing this for you. I’ve enjoyed our little chats over the last few weeks and I hope you enjoy the story. I tried to put as many little touches of you in it as I could.
xoxo,
Megan

The knock came at 2:05. It was tentative, barely pulling Killian out of a dreamless sleep and for a moment, he thought he’d imagined it. Fuzzy-brained, he was a second away from chalking it up to a rattling pipe or noise from the street when another knock came, this one more insistent.
Tossing the covers off and cursing as he kicked his feet free from the tangled sheet, he padded through the living room, throwing the deadbolt and dramatically pulling the door open, ready to give his untimely visitor hell while wearing nothing more than a pair of boxer briefs and a scowl.
The piss and vinegar was short-lived when his eyes fell onto the figure standing in the hallway.
Her face was red and blotchy with strands of blonde hair sticking to tear tracks. A cheap diaper bag, stretched to the limits and overflowing, was slung over her shoulder, one of those infant car seats designed for carrying at her feet, the baby inside asleep.
Chin lifting just enough to convey some measure of pride, her eyes wouldn’t rise enough meet his. When she spoke it was to the dog tags resting on his chest.
“We didn’t have anywhere else to go.”
Pirate Diplomacy
A quick thing that I’m dedicating to @shoedonym, who had the idea of Killian threatening people while looking, well, like this.
It’s almost night time in Storybrooke. The hour between light and dark, where distances grow fuzzy and the eyes play tricks.
The thieving hour, it ought to be called. At least, in the opinion of a young criminal mastermind by the name of Jack Bradagan, who is probably given to more poetic flights of fancy than most thieves.
Storybrooke, he has discovered in the short time since he stumbled through a portal, is a very sleepy, unassuming town. The port is far less crowded than any he’s ever visited back home. In fact, at this hour, it’s all but deserted. There is no noise and light spilling from taverns beckoning sailors to drink and spend their coin, no brothel or loitering whore to be seen anywhere, no late-night gambling or merchant stalls.
He has his target. He has his crew. He also has a sword, and several knives hidden in strategic places upon his person. He takes a deep breath, then motions to the other four, and they make their way along the docks, to the lone sailing ship tied up at the pier. The Jolly Roger.
The gangplank is down. Jack leads the way up to the deck, almost giddy with excitement. The price he paid for the tip-off looks to have been worth it. It’s not nearly this easy to even board a ship back home.
“I don’t think you want to do that, mate,” says a man’s voice behind him. It’s a hard, world-weary sort of voice, a voice that has seen more than its share of thievery. It’s followed by a soft cooing sound that seems out of place. The voice goes on, “Turn around.”
Jack is already doing so. His heart is simultaneously somewhere around his knees, and trying to jump into his throat. He knows that voice, or rather, he knows what a voice like that means. It’s a voice used to giving orders. He’s heard it from many a captain, though never quite like this.
The man standing in front of him looks like he was made for thieving hour. He is dark-haired and dressed in shades of black and grey and navy, so that he seems to blend into the falling night, except for the pale skin of his face and hand. His one hand, which is currently holding a sword, the curved blade pointing at Jack. The other arm ends in a wicked curve of metal. More metal gleams at his belt: a strange-looking badge of some kind.
Strapped to his chest is a baby. Jack blinks, taken aback, but it is definitely a baby, cradled against the man’s chest, tiny hands flailing a little.

Fluffy Fridays—Chapter 114: I’ll Be With You Always
Pairing: Captain Swan
Rating: T
Summary: A series of unrelated, fluffy one shots featuring Killian Jones and Emma Swan and the relationship that makes us all swoon. Will contain both canon and AU stories. My contribution to Operation Rainbow Kisses and Unicorn Stickers (aka, my attempt to drown out the season 4 finale angst with ridiculous levels of fluff.)

CS genre: Deleted scene from 5x7
Note: Most of the dialog in the second section was taken directly from episode 5x7. The credit for the amazing dialog by the well in Camelot goes directly to Jane Espenson.
Killian pushed aside the billowy curtains of Granny’s dining establishment and peered uneasily out at Swan sitting upon a fallen log. She worked quickly, almost feverishly at her dreamcatcher, as though the task was necessary to keep her from flying apart at the seams.
The all too familiar frustration and powerlessness overwhelmed him once again. She was getting worse. Despite all his best efforts, despite all their best efforts the darkness still had an effect on her and was still growing in power. He wanted to scream, wanted to bury his hook in something repeatedly until some of the anger drained out.
The darkness had taken the woman he loved once before, and he’d be damned before he let it do it again.
Wonderful! 5x07 was one of my favorite and you managed to fill in the blank oh so wonderfully!!!
Subtle and Nuanced
Summary: Killian Jones has an unusual relationship with a neighbor in which they exchange notes via cat. He’s also slowly falling for his flower shop’s newest customer. Surely these two things are unrelated. Rating: T Notes: Happy birthday, @thejollypirate! I’ve owed you this story for ages, so this seemed like the best time to finally get it to you! Welcome to adulthood, it’s the worst, I’m sorry. Thank you to @lifeinahole27 for reading it over!
Content warning: Pet sickness and a trip to the veterinarian.
As far as Killian was concerned, it was Liam’s fault. When the window had first gotten stuck, and Killian had mentioned he was going to phone the landlord, Liam had told him not to bother, that he would fix it himself. He was relatively handy, and it was always easier to do minor repairs and bill the landlord for materials than it was to call and wait and wait and wait for the man to send someone over. And so Killian had agreed, and waited for his brother to fix it.
But of course, Liam kept forgetting. After all, the window wasn’t in his bedroom, so it was easy to forget the damn thing wouldn’t shut. And when Killian would remind him, he’d either make an excuse about how late in the evening it was, or how busy he was, or make a comment like It’s July, Killian, it’s not as though it’s cold out, you’ll live another day.
And then of course, Liam’s boss had to back out of an extended, weeks-long business trip at the last minute, and the only person who could replace him was Liam. And after dropping him off at the airport, Killian returned to find a huge gash in the screen of his bedroom window. Now, not only did the damn thing not close, but now all manner of insects could get inside the room as well.
All manner of insects and, he discovered, the culprit.
Omg this was so cute, but also super smart??? I am amazed by all the flower meanings being incorporated into the story!!!
A Little (More) TLC
Okay. So this is my submission for the CSSB Vol.2. I wanted to say that the timing of when I’ve finally been able to post this is pure coincidence and that I wrote this fic two months ago. So there is absolutely no way I could’ve known that I’d be posting it two days after 6.11 was suddenly extremely relevant to the show again. Though, I think I did a decent job of writing up that actually aligned with what is now canon… so maybe I am a seer. O.O
Anywho, I hope you enjoy this deleted scene where Killian and Emma discuss what happened in the Wish!Realm, and I definitely suggest you take a look at the CSSB Vol.2 collection itself (I believe this story starts on p.417?)

“Here you go, love.”
Emma sat up expectantly, her mussed blonde tresses tumbling down over her shoulder as she did so. She reached out, flexing her fingers excitedly as Killian carefully handed off one of the two steaming mugs in his hand.
“Thanks, babe.” She smiled gratefully before bringing the cup up to her lips to take a hearty sip. “Mmmm, that’s perfect.” She sighed, eyes fluttering closed before she went in for a second pull at the mug. “It feels like I haven’t had a good cup of hot chocolate in a lifetime.”
Killian gave an understanding sort of nod as he moved back around their bed to place his own mug down on his nightstand. “It’s an odd sort of thing, having multiple sets of memories bounding around in one’s head.” He turned on his heels, eyes scanning the floor for his long discarded leather jacket.
“It is.” Emma sighed. “It feels all weird, and yet not at the same time. Like I lived there, but also he-” She opened her eyes and frowned as Killian continued to pursue their abandoned clothes. “What are you looking for?”
