I think that Sabo and Luffy still got some growing in them to go, given their genetics and also the way people grow in this show. As such, they’re both like,,, very tall in this version.

Luffy may have fought his way out of a horrible prison and through a deadly war just to have Ace die anyway, but god damn it, Luffy's effort to save his brother was not a waste. Ace was treated like a monster by society from the day he was born, to the point that he hated every part of himself too and didn't see a reason for living, but his last words to Luffy were "Thank you for loving me."

Luffy's love was never, ever in vain. Portgas D. Ace died knowing that he was loved, his body held securely in the arms of someone who'd spent ten years trying to convince Ace that he was worthy of it.

Hey, remember when I said I shipped Lawlulaw? Yeah, I finally have an idea for them!

As I was fleshing this out, I suddenly felt the need to shove in Acelaw and Sabolaw in there so uh that's fun. I wanted this to be Lulaw centered but the moments of Ace and Sabo can be very easily spun into a romantic direction if I wanted and I wanted to be open to having a Law harem!

Welp, anyways, onto the plot I cooked.

Heart Pirate AU where Shachi and Penguin are constantly trying and failing to pick up girls wherever they go because they have no game.

They whine endlessly not just about their failures, but because when they wake up the next day, the same girls who turned them down are doing the walk of shame from Ikkaku’s room with extremely satisfied and dazed looks on their face.

Ikkaku plays coy and acts like nothing happened and it drives them even crazier because she refuses to tell them her secrets of how exactly how she not only gets these girls into her bed but has them moaning so loud all night.

They ask Law because even though they’ve never seen HIM bring anyone home, he always has all the answers. He bursts out laughing in their faces and tells them that on the next island they need to go get their gaydars checked, do some research on sex toys, and maybe not be so damn annoying all the time.

It’s really weird. They haven’t seen Law laugh like this before…

Sabo is my 3rd fave OP character and I love him so much that he appears in almost every fanfic I write.

He’s the pretty, smart, fiercely loyal, unconditionally loving, put together yet goofy big bro I wish I had. I just cry over the idea that he’s always supporting Luffy and loves him dearly, especially after Ace’s death where he feels like he needs to give him enough love for the two of them.
