SoRina/SouEri Week Postponed

Hello everyone! We both hope you’re all doing well.

Unfortunately, as the title states, we’ve decided to postpone SoRina/SouEri Week this year.

We apologize. We know many of our lovely shippers look forward to the dedicated week every year.

However, due to complications, both of us admins are unable to carry out the week. We prioritize the people behind the blog first before anything. Furthermore, this postponement will give us time to reconstruct and update the blog and its image.

We hope the fandom understands, and we’ll try to have the week running soon! As we get more information for you all, we will be posting it on this blog. Such would include the event’s status, dates, prompts, etc.

All we ask is for your patience and support. We hope to see you all very soon.

Thank you, and happy shipping!

Hello! All of the work shown on our blog is by submission from other creators! We don’t create the majority of the work shown, we just reblog it!

I tried to search for the fanfiction you were asking about to refer you to the original author, but I couldn’t find it in our records/archive. I’m really sorry! :(

The View from Paradise

Sorina Week 2018 Day 7: The Top

The lights were low as the gala winded down, and Erina wondered whether the novice reporter could fumble through his tired questions any faster.

“Would you consider tonight’s event a success?” he asked even though a grade school mathematician could surmise that an event garnering 3.2 million USD in proceeds would be a monumental win in anyone’s book.

“I’d definitely say so,” Souma replied, knowing good and well that his wife didn’t answer stupid questions. “But even beyond the money, it’s great to raise awareness about the role of climate change in creating food insecurity.”

Erina smirked a bit despite herself as the reporter nodded vigorously, scribbling down every word. There he went with that endless charisma; it was no wonder why the entire culinary world had long since fallen in love with him.

After a few more tired questions—some of which Erina scarcely processed due to their unapologetic banality—she shot her husband a sidelong glance and gestured to her phone. If they didn’t get on with it, they wouldn’t be able to talk to their son before he went to sleep.

“I hate to rush you, Jim,” Souma said, and Erina wondered how on earth he had remembered the man’s name. “But we have an early flight to catch in the morning.”

“Right, of course. Thanks so much for talking the time to sit down with me. I’ll just get to the last question.” The reporter flipped through his notes frantically. “Right. Let’s see. Everyone say’s you’re the gourmet world’s number one power couple, but is there anything you’re still waiting to accomplish?”

“Not presently, but if something comes up, you’ll be the first to know,” Erina said, her voice dripping with sarcasm she knew went straight over the kid’s head.

As soon as they got in the car, Erina traded her stilettos for flats and dialed her father-in-law’s cell number.

He answered after two rings. “Erina, how was the event?”

“The usual,” she replied, stifling a yawn. Really and truly, she wondered whether it had been worth the flight. “Is Raiden still awake?”

“No, the kid’s out cold,” he said.

Erina’s eyebrows raised. “Really? Already?” Usually their son was an unending source of energy.

“Bedtime’s nothing a little bourbon can’t handle.”

Erina blinked once. Twice. He had to be kidding…right?

“Jo,” she said, the ghost of a threat in her voice.

“What’d he do?” Souma interjected.

“I think he got our child drunk,” Erina said before handing the phone over and rubbing her temples.

“Pops, he’s six!” Souma started, earning a few chuckles from the old man.

“Just kidding. You should know I’m not that irresponsible. I raised you.”

“When I was his age, you gave me squid ink and told me it was Coke!”

“You were an idiot for falling for that,” Erina pointed out before taking the phone back from him. “How’s he doing?” she asked. It had been over a week since they last saw their son.

“He’s fine, but he told me to pass on a message.”

“What message?”

“He wants a younger sister.”

Erina heaved a deep sigh. That again. He had started complaining about his lack of younger siblings right after Alice and Ryo had Sofia, and hadn’t relented since. “Tell him to pick a different souvenir,” she said. “And that we love him.”

“What was that sigh for?” Souma asked after she’d hung up.

“Raiden hasn’t dropped the younger sister thing.”

Souma scratched the back of his head. “It’s because Akane and Erik are both older siblings now. He feels left out.”

Erina could tell from her husband’s expression that Raiden wasn’t the only one. She thought back to the picture she had seen last week on Megumi’s Instagram—the ultrasound of two healthy twin boys that led her to resign from her position as head of the tourism department. If Souma had stayed with her, there was no doubt he’d be a father of three or four by now.

But there was a price for standing at the summit of one’s field, for being known as the first couple of food. That price was paid in time and macaroni art and ultrasound photos.

Erina blinked a few times, clearing her eyes of mascara-induced tears, and pulled up a website on her phone. “We should get him a dog.”

“Yeah,” Souma agreed. “A lab or something.”

They drove the rest of the way to the hotel in silence, mourning the type of mundane happiness they had never considered pursuing.

Under the Moonlight

Note: This is my take on the events of Chapter 278

I just don’t get Suzuki-sensei. What does he mean that Nakiri is going to leave me? Is she going abroad or somethin’? Does this have anything to do with sensei wanting to marry her? I still don’t get why but that doesn’t really sit well with me. Nakiri still has to acknowledge my cooking and that tongue of hers will really help me refine my cooking.

But her leaving…Souma felt a sinking feeling in his stomach and he suddenly wanted to see her. I guess I’ll drop by during my walk.

His legs led him to the balcony. And that’s when he saw Nakiri’s back on his peripheral. “Oh!” He smiled as he saw her beautiful blonde hair swaying by the midsummer night breeze, her hair even looks brighter under the moonlight.

She’s still here alright.

Sensing that she has a visitor, Nakiri turned around. … What? My heart seemed like it stopped for a moment. Then it started going off like crazy. What the hell is happening?

The redhead scrunched up his forehead in thought as he tried to assess why his heart suddenly did that upon seeing Nakiri under the beautiful moonlight.

Well, yeah, Nakiri was always beautiful. But her under the moonlight just escalates this a hundred more times. Her amethyst seemed much brighter. And were her eyelashes always that long? It seemed to have created shadows under her eyes.

“Yukihira-kun” Nakiri said, bringing him back to earth. “Yo whatcha up to, Nakiri?” Souma responded, trying to hide his confusion. “Huh? Nothing, really. Just cooling off out here. What about you, Yukihira-kun?”

He scratched his head as he tried to recall what he was doing before seeing her. “Er..Uh…I…Wait, what was I doing again?”

Nakiri laughed at that. “Did you forget?”

For the second time tonight, Souma was stunned by the blonde. Her serene face under the moonlight is one thing, but this smiling Nakiri looks so much better. He probably let his eyes hover over her lips for more than a few seconds.  Suddenly, her lips look so interesting and attractive.

This thought probably stunned him as much as he’d expected as he wasn’t able to stop himself when he said out loud that, “You know, when you’re smiling…you’re way prettier”.

Now, this was Nakiri’s time to get shocked. “Wha-?!”

“F-first Yoshino-san, then now you, Yukihira-kun?!” She exclaimed, her face flushed.

Souma can’t help but laugh. “But I basically only ever see you when you’re peeved!”

…but that was way before. Actually, she’s smiling a lot more around him recently, especially after the Regiment de Cuisine. She even laughed as his salmon roe joke at the train last time, right?

Erina massaged her temples. “Hmph! What’s going on?! Now even you’ve started saying soppy lines! Give me a break! Our true callings are our studies! Cooking! This isn’t the time for romance and the like!“

Well, Souma couldn’t debate with that. Nakiri’s comment seemed to break him out of his confused thoughts. “Yeah, You tell ‘em!

And that made him remember the difficult task that he needs to get through. He seemed confident with the others awhile ago but can they really finish their shop on time? "Besides, none of that matters if I can’t clear this exam."

"I think you will be okay, Yukihira-kun.” Nakiri said. “You’ll overcome this, too. As you always have.”

This remark surprised Souma. Sure, he and Nakiri are on better terms now but this is semi acknowledging him…not that he is complaining though.

“Yeah!” The redhead said with a smirk. “I’ll be comin’ for ya straight after! Time for a rematch!”

That made Nakiri’s eyebrow twitch. “Fine by me. Come by whenever you’re itching for another taste of defeat.” Erina retorted while crossing her arms.

Souma laughed. “You’ve become headmistress, but you’re still the same as ever!”

He doesn’t know why but he kinda missed their banters. He likes the calm Nakiri and the smiling Nakiri…but he also likes this annoyed and semi-angry Nakiri. Most of the people get scared of her but she’s really fun to be with. His favorite is when Nakiri pouts and turns red after he says something ridiculous. Sometimes, Souma hangs out in her office just to annoy her, but lately, both of them were slumped in their duties - more so, Nakiri, who is the directress of the school.

Man, she’s just busy and I’m already like this, what more if she…that’s when he realized why he was there in the first place.

“By the way, are ya planning on going somewhere far away anytime soon, Nakiri?"

"Huh? What are you talking about?” Nakiri replied.

Souma breathed a sigh of relief. Why is he even letting that Suzuki-sensei bother him this much?

“Well…to be honest, I dunno. As long as you aren’t, don’t worry about it.” He said with a smile.

“Uh, okay,” Nakiri answered, still not sure what is going on.

“Let’s just keep on goin’ on, okay?"

Nakiri smiled. "Yes, of course.”

He bade goodbye with a huge smile on his face, definitely calmer before he went out in the balcony. He probably still smiled like a fool until he reached his room.

Hello! I just wanted to write my take on the latest chapter with Souma’s POV. I hope you enjoyed and please message me if you have feedback!

Sorina Week 2018, Day 3: Angel/Demon

She’s kind.

She’s caring.

She’s his best friend.

Really, he couldn’t ask for more as he looked at the blue-haired girl in front of him. She had helped him dozens of times. Her words encouraged him on the times that he needed it. She radiates a kind of warmth that calms the people around her. She’s a bright sunshine in the middle of the storm.

She’s like an angel.

He should be happy, right? But he knows that he isn’t. His mind kept going back to a certain blonde.

She’s merciless.

She’s cruel.

She’s his rival.

She may be merciless but she has helped him improve more than he can imagine. He needed a worthy rival, someone who can push him to his limits.

She may be cruel but her criticism made him realize what he overlooked.

She’s a fire that engulfs him, burning him down to his core.

She’s a bright light in a dark tunnel that he kept on running towards to.

She is a temptation. An alluring forbidden fruit. A sweet and succulent fruit that he wishes to taste. She may be the devil herself.

And god knows how he wants to divulge himself into it.

Here’s a short fic for the Sorina Week 2018, Day 3: Angel/Demon. The scenario is that Souma and Megumi are together but he kept getting back to Erina. I kinda felt bad for writing that he’s kinda cheating on Megumi but I just wanted to write how, in my opinion, the character of Souma (who always aims for the top) needs Erina ultimately for his character growth.

Even though I’m participating on the SoRina/SouEri Week 2018 in Spanish only (I don’t have the time or the strength to translate any of the stories to English this year, I’m so sorry)

I’ve thought it would be good to share at least the covers (pffft, if you can call it that way, bcs they’re awful xD).

This is the one for day #1 roses and its called “Path of Roses” in Spanish. I wrote about 7 roses of different colors and their meaning (I’ve never researched about flowers so deeply), orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, red and white roses are the ones for this not-so-short shot.

And this is for the 2nd day: Balcony, the name is “Her Smile” and God that I struggled a lot with this one. They’re pretty lame but do the work, lmao.

If anyone would like to take a look at them, please feel free to check them out ^^.

Roses

Erina sighed as she entered her office. Another bouquet from Professor Suzuki. She stared at the newest addition to her collection. Beautiful pink roses were displayed in a vase on her desk. She tugged at the card attached by a ribbon and read the message out loud.

“I hope these flowers brighten your day like your smile brightens up mine.”

”Whoa, nice flowers, Nakiri! Who sent you those?” Soma’s cheerful voice interrupted her thoughts, startling her, and she whirled around in agitation.

The headmistress barked, “Yukihira! Who told you it was okay to enter my office without asking?”

Soma shrugged, “The guards don’t stop me anymore. They know it’s useless.” He strolled up to her and gazed intently at the indoor garden she had in her office. Each vase had a gorgeous bouquet of different flowers and today’s was no exception. The bright pink roses exuded love and beauty.

Soma cocked an eyebrow and whistled, “This guy’s serious, huh?”

Erina grumbled, “I suppose so.”

Soma asked teasingly, “So am I gonna be invited to the wedding?”

She growled in response, “There isn’t going to be a wedding! There is nothing going on between me and the professor! He just won’t stop sending me these flowers and now I’m up to my neck in plants. Honestly, this is incredibly rude. As if I have time to take care of these.” She threw up her hands exasperatedly and sat down in her chair.

Soma’s eyes widened, and he exclaimed excitedly, “Ooh, in that case do you mind if I take these?” He pointed towards the pink Damascus roses she had just acquired.

Erina replied warily, “What could you possibly need flowers for?”

A girlfriend? No way, Yukihira doesn’t like anyone like that! Does he?

Soma rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, “Eh, it’s not really something I’m ready to tell people about yet if that’s alright with you…if not, it’s cool!”

Erina’s eyes widened in response to his strange admission and she wordlessly motioned for him to take them, stunned.

Soma grabbed the bouquet from her desk and smiled brilliantly, “Thanks, Nakiri! I’ll get out of your hair now!”

Erina watched him leave, confused and a little jealous. Could he have a secret girlfriend he hadn’t told anyone about? Was it one of his friends and they were keeping it quiet to not make things weird at the dorm?

She felt something violently twisting in her gut at the thought of him delivering HER bouquet to some other girl. Buy your own damn flowers!

She tried to go back to her work with little success. She kept experiencing wave after wave of anxiety as she filled out her paperwork. Why do I care who he gives those to? If he wants to keep it a secret, then so be it. It’s not like we’re friends!

An hour passed, and she had been staring at the same page for roughly half that time. Damn it!

She packed up her things and immediately called a car to take her to his dorm. As they drove past the campus, Erina spotted his distinctive motorcycle outside one of the buildings. She hastily yelled for the driver to pull over. A secret tryst in a classroom? Real classy, Yukihira!

As she marched up to the building, she was steaming with anger. Not about the fact that he had some secret girlfriend (obviously!), but at the sheer audacity to re-gift a bouquet intended for another girl. It was just rude! She would be doing the girl a favor by demanding he give her flowers back; this way, he could go out and properly buy some himself. Preferably ugly ones.

She poked her head into a few of the empty classrooms, but no annoying redhead in sight.

Suddenly, the smell of roses filled the air. She followed the heavenly scent towards the classroom at the end of the hall. She silently crept in to find Soma pulling a tray out of the oven. As he set the tray down, he glanced up to find the blonde staring curiously at him.

“Nakiri? What are you doing here?” He asked, the blush on his face evident.

She responded evenly, “I was going to ask for my flowers back. If they’re for some secret girlfriend, you should have some sense of decency and buy them for her yourself.” She walked in the classroom to take a closer look at what he was making.

Beautiful rose-shaped apple tarts were cooling on the tray, and the divine rose scent was coming from a sweet syrup on the counter. They made eye contact, and he laughed, “Secret girlfriend? You thought that was what I didn’t want to tell you about?”

She blushed and crossed her arms loftily, “Well, what else was I supposed to think?!”

He shook his head and grinned, “It didn’t even occur to me you would take it that way. Uh, no, my ‘secret’ is that I’m trying to make Momo’s Queen Apple Tart she made at the Regiment de Cuisine. She made it look so easy but making the little roses was actually a lot harder than I thought. I gotta hand it to her, the girl’s got skills.”

Erina scoffed, “Obviously she has skills. She was the fourth seat!”

A wave of relief washed over her at hearing his confession. Why had she been so worried about him having a girlfriend? Obviously, he didn’t! Who would want to date him?

She asked perplexedly, “Why didn’t you want to tell anyone about this?”

He laughed, “I don’t know, I guess it’s embarrassing that I even had to practice. I always thought desserts were supposed to be the easiest.”

She shook her head and replied, “Desserts are an art form in themselves. It can take years to master not only the actual baking but the decorating.”

Soma nodded, “I can see that now. I don’t think they turned out too bad though, do you?”

She smiled at his attempt. They weren’t bad at all, but they definitely weren’t as good as Momo’s. “While I can’t say I haven’t seen better, I’d prefer a bouquet of these than Professor Suzuki’s any day.”

She hadn’t meant much by her words, other than how little she thought of the professor’s gifts, but Soma felt slightly victorious hearing her statement. He passed her a rose and drizzled some of the syrup on it and prepared one for himself as well.

“Cheers,” he playfully tapped his apple tart against hers.

She giggled as she watched him try to catch some of the syrup that had drizzled off the rose with his tongue before it hit the counter. He grinned at her fit of laughter when he showed her his trashcan of failed attempts. Her heart fluttered as she stole a glance at him delicately moving the roses into the bread basket.

Who would want to date him?

Things Left Unsaid

Sorina Week 2019 Day 1: Roses  (Not spoiler free!)

Erina found him somewhere in the cemetery, standing before the headstone she could only assume belonged to his mother, as the rain soaked him through. She had known, through some cocktail of common sense and intuition, that he would be here when he didn’t turn up back at the academy after BLUE.

And she had known that she would go find him.

However, now that she was here with mud on her shoes and a right arm going numb from holding up her oversized umbrella, the internal forces that brought her this far had gone silent.

Erina took a few steps forward, noting the damp bouquet of red and white roses laid across the grave, and wondered for the umpteenth time what she was even doing there.

Was it her aim to bring him back to Totsuki? She knew that Tadokoro-san would be much better suited to the task.

Still, she inched forward until the front part of her umbrella covered Yukihira Souma and he became aware of her presence.

It never ceased to amaze her how quickly his expression changed from tired or annoyed to shonen-protagonist friendly.

“Yo, Nakiri. How’s it going?”

Erina shook her head. Only he could stand before the grave of a loved one and ask, with full sincerity, how she was doing. “I’m not getting married.”

“Congrats,” he said. “So you won BLUE. Are you gonna go work for the bookmaster?”

“Please.” She scoffed. “Nakiri Erina works for no one.”

This got a chuckle out of him. “What are you doing out here, Nakiri?”

“Making sure I don’t get saddled with all your paperwork this weekend,” she said with a shrug, despite the fact that she had every intention of handling the forms that were due.

She wanted to ask how he was feeling after the whole ordeal with his father and Saiba Asahi, if he was still angry about losing to that man in the semifinals. She wondered about the mother whose roses were falling apart under the downpour, and why this last defeat had brought him back to her.

But those kinds of questions were too cloying and sentimental for her tastes, and she knew he wouldn’t tell her anyway. So to save him the labor of lying to circumvent her concern, she limited her inquiries to “Are you hungry?”

When they got back to academy, Erina would cook her it’s alright, I’m sorry, I’m here, infuse unspoken allegiances into some intricate dish she had only half conceived.

Souma glanced at her warily. “You really came all the way out here to ask that?”

“Of course not.” Erina breezily flipped her blonde tresses back, taking comfort in the absurdity of her own half-truths. “I came to make you look at my trophy from BLUE and die of envy.”

“That’s it! I’ll take you on as soon as we get back to school!”

She smirked. “Know your place, Yukihira. It’s still a thousand years too early for a plebian like you to assume you’re on my level.”

And it was a million too soon for her to admit that her place was by his side.

Sorina Week Day 1-  The daisy's game

Sooo…is my first time at Sorina Week and I hope you guys enjoy…because I actually am not a fan of flowers and i struggled a little bit but well I made it and I I really hope I didn’t mess this up. Enjoy!! Don’t forget to check the notes at the end!

# THE DAISY’S GAME

“What a stupid game!” Erina murmured as she removed the last petal from the flower she carried. She let her purple eyes search the place and felt bad for violating the ornated garden for her own pleasure.

She didn’t know for sure what had compelled her to pluck some flowers for such a game. Maybe it was the last chapter of her shoujou Manga, in which the protagonist was fortunate to have her feelings reciprocated by her crush soon after being successful in the daisy’s game.

She sighed deeply as she remembered that even if it were true, the game would never work if she had no one to think about. She looked at the floor and saw the three flowers without it’s petals, a sign of her failure until then, and felt bad for sacrificing such beauty for nothing. The truth is that, at least once in her life, she wanted to do something normal. Something young people her age would do.

But how could even a game as simple as that seem impossible to a person like her. She could have the garden covered with daisies, she could spend the day in the eternal “loves me, loves me not”, but she had not stopped to think about the main thing: who to think about when playinf the daisy’s game?

She searched her mind for options until she heard a voice behind her.

“Yo, Nakiri” The red-haired boy with a broad smile seemed to bring the sun in his golden eyes.

“Y..Yukihira! Why are you here?”

“I need you to try a new recipe, this time I’m sure you’ll find my food delicious”

“This day will never come Yukihira! And how did you find out I was here? Who let you in? ”

“Gramps told me that you decided to spend the morning in the garden. Curious, I never thought you were the kind that likes nature, Nakiri ”

“Well…There are a lot of things you don’t know about me”

“Hm, yeah sure. Well, then, this is a start. Nakiri likes nature.”

She almost laughed at his serious face. Finger on chin and eyes down, as if he was really making a mental note.

“Of all the things you should know about me, one should already have been fixed in your thick skull, I don’t think and I will never find your food delicious”

The girl crossed her arms in front of her chest and frowned at him.

“That’s what we’ll see, Nakiri.” The young man just grinned at her expected attitude. But his eyes drifted quickly to the flower stalk that remained securely in the girl’s hands.

“What do you have there, Nakiri?”

“Hm?”

Soma approached and noticed the other stalks of fallen flowers beside the girl.

“You look like you’re gardening with your bare hands. Were you left without a gardener, Nakiri ”

“It’s nothing like that, you idiot! It’s just a game!” She regretted it soon after the words came out of her mouth. She saw the boy raise his eyebrows and then show a smile

“Don’t tell me you’re playing The daisy’s game, Nakiri”

“That doesn’t concern you!”

“So you really are!” Soma pointed his finger accusingly at the heiress, and let a laugh slip from his lips.

“And what do you have to do with it, commoner?”

Soma shrugged and teased her.

“It seems like you didn’t have much success, em Nakiri?

"That’s because I forgot to think of someone, okay! But what do you know about it? Bet you never played this game! ”

Again, Erina watched the young man put his fingers in his chin and access his deepest memories

“You’re right, I’ve never played this game myself. Well since I’m here, do you want to try to play it together? ”

“Wh .. WHAT?”

“Oh come on Nakiri, I take one petal and you take the other.”

“And what about the person you have to think about?”

“Hmm … I think I’ll think about you, you’re the only one that I want to hear say that loves my food.”

“You know this game isn’t about food, right?”

“I know, but I also know it’s just a game, so I think I can make some changes. After all, it’s not like this game could define our lives, is it?

"And it’s not”

“So…Let’s go?!”

Soma plucked one of the daisies that adorned the garden and offered it to the blonde girl. She looked at him suspiciously but picked up the flower anyway. She pondered for a few seconds before removing the first petal.

“Loves me”

The girl offered the flower to the boy and he just took the petal off the other end. It would be unexpected for Yukihira to follow the order of the petals.

“Loves me not”

She followed her own order, laughing at the times when the boy was doing a real staging with the words “loves me not” as he plucked another petal.

Erina could feel the weather getting lighter. She was amused at every grimace he made and blushed every time his hands brushed against hers as he tried to grasp the stalk of the flower. Soon they reached the last petal and she widened her eyes as she remembered that she had not thought of anyone.

“You want to do this together?”

“Hm?”

“Let’s count to 3. And in 3 we take the petal together, what do you think?”

She looked at the last petal and thought it was large enough that her fingers would not even touch his.

“Hm … It’s … It’s alright”

“1 … 2 … 3”

As she placed her fingers on the petal, Erina felt his hands cover hers. Her cheeks flushed scarlet red as she identified his breath near her ear. When had he come so close?

She redirected her gaze to him and saw him getting lost in her amethyst eyes. Her racing heart made her tremble, and his warm hands reminded her of the warmth of a blanket on a winter night.

The withdrawn petal was now dancing in the air toward the ground. Fall with grace and sweetness. And even after arriving at its final destination, the phrase that was to be spoken still stuck in their throats and they were still shocked by the proximity between them.

Throughout this last round, she had no other person in her thoughts than he. She wondered if he had done it deliberately, but she didn’t think he would be aware of such an act until she felt him closing the distance between them.

“Loves me” she heard him whisper before giving herself to his lips.

Day 1: Roses (Soueri/Sorina Week 2018)

This is the fourth time this past two weeks and to be honest Nakiri Erina already has a solid clue on what’s going on.

“Miss Nakiri, he’s looking for you again.”

As usual, he would always be her last customer for the night, this has been occuring every saturday for the past month! All red hair and huge grins, he’d wait exactly until the last diner would take their leave before he would rid himself of the bar and sit on one of the actual chairs and tables.

“I apologize but I was not able to ask him to lea-” Raising a well manicured hand, Erina said no words as she made her way out the kitchen and towards the person sitting on one of her expensive chairs.

The air smelled like floor wax and the dining hall was slowly loosing it’s chilly atmosphere as the airconditioning was being turned off.

“If my staff weren’t cleaning up I would have closed the lights on you.” She remarked when she was close enough for him to hear.

The arms crossed over her chest did little to intimidate the man casually scanning over the menu.

Like he haven’t memorized it by now, Erina thought haughtily.

“One order of roast turkey please!” He said as he closed the menu with full bravado looking as if he just found the answer to the hardest question in the world, but in her point of view he looks like he’s ordering at a diner in the out skirts or something and not at one of the most famous and prestige gourmet restuarants in the world.

“A roast turkey with cranberry and sweet potato puree, you mean?” The sarcastic reply leaves no effect on him what so ever as he leans back and give a chuckle.

“Yeah that! Gimme that”

A vein could almost visibly pop on her forehead as she glared at the idiot in front of her. Not only is he being a pain in the neck but he has been for four times already.

Seeing her look incredibly irritated and pissed makes him all the more eager to tease her, not only does it make her look cuter but it genuinely feels super fun.

“You know… If you would just agree to go out with me tonight just one hour I promise ‘ya! Wouldn’t need to have to go all through that!”

Ah, this was definitely a must for his visits, the first time he proposed such an idea she had redden all over her shocked face.

Sure, she had various men throwing themselves at her but she had never encountered upon a man as overly aggravating and bothersome as him, which in turn never leaves her able to forget about him.

But of course she wouldn’t give in that easily.

“One roasted turkey coming right up!” She announced out loud and made her way back towards the kitchen not looking back at the pouting customer.

The waitresses cleaning up giggled out loud knowing that the attractive regular was shot down once again.

“Here”

The less than entusiastic tone paired with a sprouting glare was what greeted Yukihira Soma after only hearing it a few minutes. To say he was surprised was an understatement if the raised eyebrows and slightly agape mouth while also forgetting the still running game on his phone was any indication.

Placing the mouthwatering dish in front of him, he’s not really sure if his stunned expression was more so because of the food or her serving him.

Before, he knew that when she turn him down and makes the dish she would have the waiter serve him and she would take her leave a few minutes after.

“Er- uh thanks Nakiri!” He manages to sprout out looking at the amazing food in front of him. She shook her shoulders as a nonverbal sign of saying 'whatever’.

She already told all of her staff that she could handle this since they were way overtime and they deserved some rest.

“Hey why don’t you join me eh? Had your dinner yet?” His offer made her cheeks redden instantly, but of course she feign ignorance and turn her head to the side.

“N-no thanks Yukihira-kun! I have things to do so h-hurry up!”

“Alright alright will do” He exhaled not being able to mask his disappointment yet was still prepared for the rejection, he guess it will take more than that for her to warm up to him once again.

He couldn’t blame her though, he was an idiot for leaving her.

Turning around she made her way back to the kitchen, purposely avoiding her sole customer for the time.

Once she was back inside she looked at the small corner where her files and other personal items were placed, on the middle lay a simple yet intricately made vase that houses three beautiful long stem roses and if she were being honest with herself she would be expecting a fourth one placed on the seat of the last diner when he takes his leave.

Sorina Week 2018, Day 1: Roses

“Who would you give the roses to, Souma?”

The Polar Star dorm (and the other rebels) are currently on a summer house of the Nakiri playing Truth or Dare. Souma chose dare and Hayama wanted him to give the roses to someone that he likes within their group. Souma looked over to Hayama and the latter just raised with eyebrows, his eyes seemed like its provoking him. He then remembered their conversation last night…

Flashback

The boys are preparing to sleep in their room when Hayama fired him a question. “So what the deal between you and Nakiri-san?” Upon hearing Hayama’s question, Daigo elbowed Shoji and whispered something while Marui and the Aldini twins looked at him expectantly. Ryo and Ibusaki pretended not to care but clearly looked curious at how he’ll respond. “My, my. Hayama. Never would have guessed that you’re going to ask what everyone wants to ask.” Isshiki-senpai remarked. “Ahhh. The wonders of youthful romance.” “What? What are you talking about?” Souma asks in return, clearly not sure what is happening. “You. Flirting with her.” Hayama said matter-of-factly. “What? Of course not! We’re just…” Then Souma trailed off, looking flustered for the first time. “Ha! You just hesitated!” Marui called out. “Yeah, I was not sure if we’re friends already or not.” Souma shot back. “You second-guessing yourself is something new,” Takumi commented. “And you’re completely dodging the question right now.“ Daigo teased. Murmurs of assent and snickering could be heard among the group. They seemed to enjoy ganging up on Souma, especially on matters where he’s really weak on…romance. “Why do you tease her that much? It’s like back in elementary where you pull on the pigtails of a girl just to get her attention.” Isshiki-senpai explained, definitely looking the most entertained with what is happening. "She doesn’t even have pigtails,” Souma replied. “You’re clearly missing the point,” Takumi said, exasperated. “Actually, if I have to take a guess, I’d say that you like her. Romantically.” Hayama emphasized the last word just in case the blockhead doesn’t understand the word "like”. Then silence. “Huh?” Hayama rolled his eyes then repeated it more clearly, “You like her that’s why you kept on teasing her to get her attention.” “It’s not like that! I just enjoy seeing her face when I mess around with her. Especially when she pouts her lips and huffs her cheeks, she looks funny and kinda cute…“ “Uh huh.” “Look, I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not like that. Well, yeah, she’s pretty and all but…” “Uh huh.” “So…does it means that I like her?” “Uh huh.”

Alice irritated voice snapped him out of this thoughts, “Well, are you going to take all night because we clearly are not letting you skip this question.”

When the redhead looked around, everyone’s already looking at him, waiting for his answer.

Souma sighed, "Alright, fine.” He then handed the roses over to Nakiri.

Daigo and Shoji shouted words of encouragement to Souma and went over to his side to clap his back. Meanwhile, Isshiki-senpai excitedly sings about young romance. Souma swears that he just saw a triumphant smirk on Hayama’s face.

Just a short drabble as my entry for the Sorina Week 2018, Day 1: Roses. Not sure if I really was able to capture the boys’ dynamics when they tease each other…but I hope it was entertaining! The “pigtails” concept was from Brooklyn 99 when Charles asked Jake about liking Amy.

So, it’s time for ShokugekiOCWeek, where you can create for your very own designed characters for the manga “Shokugeki no Soma”

It will take place 7. January 2019 - 13. January 2019 + one Bonus Day

Please remember to read the rules

And now, let’s get to the Prompts (you don’t have to necessarily follow them, but they may help to let the creativity bloom a bit or cast a nice challenge)

The prompts are sorted into: “Basic OC-Establishment Prompts”, “Shokugeki Arcs” + “One Radom Word Prompts”

You can only choose one of them, or combine two or…if you manage even all three, that’s totally up to you.

Prompts:

Day 1: Introduction / Entering Totsuki / Gold

Day 2: Cooking Class  / Trainings Camp /  Flowers

Day 3: Generation / Autumn Elections / Storms

Day 4: Ambitions / Stagiaire / Stars

Day 5: Free Time / Moon Banquet Festival / Fireworks

Day 6: Shokugeki / Central / Ice

Day 7: Friendship / Promotions Exams / Cinnamon

+ Bonus Day: Someone Else’s OC / Ink

Remember to tag your workpieces as #shokugekiocweek and/or #shokugekiocweek2019

Bonus Day is meant as a little extra thingie to bring the community a little bit closer together. But please, if you do that and draw an OC that belongs to someone else. Credit that someone as the owner of the OC.

If there remain any questions, don’t hesitate to ask

I look forward to your creations!

Mod would like to apologize for her uncreative editing, but this is really the best she could come up with after thinking about it for 3 hours or so.

Hello, does the submission have to be SouEri only? Is it okay if other ships (that don't contradict to SouEri for example EiRin) are also included? Thanks.

Yes of course.

The primary focus should be Sorina/SouEri of course, to not destroy the purpose of this week.

But including other ships like EiRin is totally fine!
