“I suppose that depends on the level of perfectionism people exhibit. Not everyone cares enough to have things done right the first time. It’s unfortunate, but true, and it seems more and more predominant these days.” He gave a slight chuckle. “A woman is cheating on her husband with an artist, and when her husband finds out, he arranges to have her killed in a faux home invasion. Hence the title.”

“I wouldn’t even call it perfectionism,” she said with a shake of her head. “I mean, it’s important to know what is it that you’re doing when it comes to a business. There are things that if you mess up are going to complicate their lives, with the government and all that.” Ali stated. “Okay, now that I hear the plot line, it does sound a little familiar,” she pointed out. “Do you remember anyone else in the cast?”

Ali had been sitting in front of the same few papers for quite some time now, and she needed to pick a winning layout for one of her clients, a task that seemed a lot easier to do in theory than the practice was proving itself to be. She had narrowed it down to three, and, although she could say that there was something a little bit... Off with one of them, she couldn’t quite put her finger on what it was. Until it finally clicked, and the brunette started laughing at it. Maybe it wasn’t so blatant, but, now that she’d seen it, she couldn’t unsee it, so, she thought of asking for another opinion on it. “Excuse me,” Ali approached the woman on a table next to hers. “This is going to sound like an incredibly weird question to ask someone quite like this but,” she trailed off, showing the woman the piece of paper. “Does this look like a penis to you?”

“Flyers, yeah. I think there’s been a couple of radio announcements about it. Anything more, I don’t really know. I’m not exactly involved–like coordinating it involved,” she answered.

She nodded a couple of times. “You should really think about broadcasting it through social media. Facebook can really help spread the word…” Ali suggested, knowing how some of that worked out.

Have you ever called the cops on someone(s)?

I have. Working with the night club scene for a while, you kind of… Well, you come to learn that there are some fights you shouldn’t get yourself in the middle of, and it’s easier to solve with the help of the cops. Safer for everyone involved as well. So, a number of times I was forced to resort to something like it, otherwise I have no idea how some of those could have actually turned out.

“Glad to know i’m not alone.” Hades gave the woman who commented a wide grin. Honestly, he was glad about it because he felt the most alone now. He was a stranger to his home and isolated himself to his new apartment. “Where did you move back from, if I may ask?” He asked, arching an eyebrow as his eyes hit the woman again.

“I think there are a lot more people who probably feel the same way about it,” Ali added, offering him a smile in return. “I spent a few years between New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York, and… After nearly a decade away, I came back in the beginning of the year.” The woman explained. “How about you, where are you returning from?”

There was silence for a few seconds if it could still be considered silence with his slightly heavy breathing. “No.” Ryke sighed. “Actually,” On a second note he felt like he had something to add to that conversation. “You could bring something like.. food? I happen to not have much of that lately.”

Ali listened to him, waiting for what he might have to add to their small conversation, and at his request, she nodded, even though he couldn’t see it. “Yeah, sure,” she said with a smile. “Anything you might want to eat?” she questioned, not entirely sure what she could bring around, so, she knew that having some help decide would be providential.

What's the worst part about your job?

Having to fire someone. Especially if it’s someone you know does everything well. Having to look at someone as you tell them they have no place working for you anymore is the hardest part of the job, and something I wish no one would really have to do, unfortunately, it’s necessary and someone’s gotta do it.

“Very friendly. He wouldn’t hurt a flea. If anything he’d lick an attacker to death. He’s really a great dog. Unconditional love, something that’s hard to obtain from any other living being. You may pet him if you like.”

Ali smiled at the description. She had always loved dogs, so, it was almost instinctual for her to want to do just what he’d told her she could. “Aren’t you handsome?!” she stated, running her hand through the dog’s neck.

“It is indeed,” she agreed. “Um, it goes from nine in the morning up to about five.”

“Uhm… Yeah, I think about five sounds good,” she said with a couple of nods. “Has this been the only way you’ve been advertising it?”

“I would rather take the time to explain the process to someone in the beginning than be confounded by mistakes later on because things weren’t made clear,” Lucas pointed out. “If that takes more time, then it’s just a casualty of making sure things are done correctly. Or at least attempting to do so.” He smiled slightly. “It’s an excellent film, one of my favorites.”

“I think it’s what everyone should do. In the beginning, people don’t generally have a whole lot of idea what needs to be done, and they’ll often fumble on how it might need to be done, so, it really doesn’t hurt to go over the details as thoroughly as possible and make sure you’re all at the same page.” Ali agreed with the man. “I don’t even think of it as a casualty. If you think about it, if people didn’t do it right to begin with, you might have to end up having that conversation down at some point anyway.” She smiled. “And, well, tell me more about it, maybe it’ll jog my memory.”

Evan laughed, though wondering what her records actually said. He figured she was the accident prone type or something of that nature. “It probably would have been. Max here is a solid 95 lb. golden retriever. He’s mostly muscle like his dad,” He grinned, referring to himself as Max’s guardian.

“Let’s all be happy for the fact that it didn’t happen then!” she chuckled. “Is he friendly?” Ali asked, in a way that ended up being so vague one did not know whether she was talking about the dog or the owner.
