my pinned post: what this blog is about and my other stuff!

hi and welcome to my blog! you’ll mostly find bbc sherlock and taylor swift here, but also a bit of nimona, my writing (very infrequently— I’m bad at remembering to post my stories here, you’d be way better off checking my ao3 if you want to see my writing), interactions with friends, and my personal life (minimal— although you can probably get a good handle on my current mental state (not great) from the posts I make)!

ok so i set up my blog to receive email notifications whenever i get an ask. if you want me to see something, put in in an ask and send it to me. i wont be able to reply, but i’ll see it. interesting posts. sherlock theories. anything. just making sure i know i’m not forgotten. literally anything please god i’ll be so bored

hey everyone. my grades suck shit so my parents are taking my phone away. this means i won’t be able to access tumblr until i get it back, which probably won’t be until the end of the school year (june 18th? around that time idk exactly). might be earlier if i can get my grades up but that seems unlikely since i’m stupid as shit. see y’all later, this blog is not abandoned and i will be back as soon as i can <3

growing up nonwhite in america is just like *your white friends don’t do this* *your white friends have never heard of your favorite food* *your white friends think the way you celebrate this holiday is weird* *your white friends still don’t pronounce your last name right even though it’s been literal years* *your white friends

#psychic damage#look i love being japanese i wouldn’t change that#but it’s isolating sometimes#i remember so clearly being like six and going over to my white friend’s house#and her mom gave us snacks and we were sitting down at the table#and like i always do before eating with someone else i said itadakimasu#and she looked at me like i was having a stroke#and i was like “i was just saying itadakimasu”#because i thought it was a thing everyone did#and she was like “what’s an itadakimasu”#and i just felt very different#i think that was the first time i realized that none of my friends are like me#and that there’ll always be that difference#like it’s cool but still ya know#i wish i knew like one other japanese person that would be really cool#for those of you who don’t know what itadakimasu is— it’s something you say before a meal#it doesn’t really have a direct english translation#but roughly it’s like “hey thanks for making this it looks cool. i’m gonna eat it now :)”#not exactly but that’s the closest i can get because the food culture doesn’t transfer over very well#it’s pronounced “ee-tah-dah-kee-mah-s” by the way#the “u” at the end is silent because japanese is a syllable-based language and it’s using the character for “su” (like in sushi)#even though the sound is just a “s”

I love it when two characters are completely and utterly obsessed with each other to an unhealthy degree. Utter devotion to the point of insanity. To the point the lines blur as to what the nature of their relationship even is. Romantic? Platonic? Sexual? Familial? Professional? All and none of the above, somehow. They can’t exist without each other. Being together is making them both worse. They would watch each other sleep in bed at night every night if they could. They are literally always thinking about each other. They would kill and die for each other. They resent each other. Even seperating them isn't going to fix the situation at this point. They permanently live inside each other.
