7 weeks

Hi there.

I’m not really sure where to start with this. But I guess this will be a good place to start.

Today I found out that Y/N, the most incredible woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, is pregnant. Y/N and I have been married for almost 2 years now and we have been so eager to start our family.

I’ve known since the day I met her that I wanted to marry her and start a family with her. There has never been a doubt in my mind that she is the person I’m going to spend the rest of my life loving. She’s not just my soulmate and my life partner anymore. She’s the mother of my child now. She’s your mom. I still can’t wrap my head around it, if I’m completely honest. Being a dad is the one thing in my life I know I want to be.

Being your dad is going to be the best, I already know it. Mom is just a few weeks pregnant right now. We’re thinking about 6 or 7 weeks. We’re so fucking excited. I don’t think you’re going to read these until you’re old enough to appreciate and cherish them so it’s okay if I swear, I think. I have to get it all out of my system now, I guess.

We’re not going to know if you’re a boy or girl for a few months so I think I’m going to refer to you as my jellybean for now. I’ve been stress eating starburst jellybeans for the last few hours because even though I’m really excited to be your dad, I’m really scared. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that we’re going to be parents in a matter of 7 months. Just give me some time, I’ll get there eventually.

We’re going to get a look at you in just a few days and we’ll figure out when we should be expecting you. I can’t wait to see you. Right now you’re probably just a mess of cells and other weird stuff but I know you’re going to be the most incredible thing I’ve seen with my own 2 eyes.

I’ll write to you as soon as we get back from the appointment.

Love,

Dad

Tama is boss

THE TRAINS HAVE CARTOON TAMAS ON THEM

Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.

Beautiful.

Now I’m crying thanks

and a new cat was hired right?

yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy

she works very hard

Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016).  There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

okay but actually what happened to santama (or sun-tama-tama, which is her name because it’s a pun on santama) was that she was basically sent to train for the position in okayama and they liked her so much they refused to send her back

“Sun-tama-tama” (a pun off of “Santama”, lit. “third Tama”) was a calico cat sent for training in Okayama. Sun-tama-tama was considered as a candidate for Tama’s successor, but the Okayama Public Relations representative who had been caring for Sun-tama-tama refused to give the cat up writing, “I will not let go of this child, she will stay in Okayama.” [25]
As of September 2018, Sun-tama-tama is working as the stationmaster in Naka-ku, Okayama and appears occasionally on Tama’s Twitter account.

Every time I see this post there’s new info and it gets better

You are only allowed to scroll pass this after you pay tribute to the great Tama Station masters.

The shrine of Tama Daimyōjin (Great gracious deity Tama), next to the Kishi station where she worked.

Nitama presenting her yearly offerings to Tama Daimyōjin on the anniversary of Tama’s Death, June 23 (The offerings are presented by the company president, as Nitama is a cat and thus can’t hold the offerings herself) (Not pictured, but also present, Yontama)

you cannot pass without reblogging guys. i’m sorry, i don’t make the rules.

You can’t not reblog a goddess. It’s just what’s so. :)

Imagine you are paid in food to greet people, and people like you so much you become a goddess after you die.

And that is just *expected* pain. That doesn’t go into people with additional medical issues that go along with it. Or the times when it is inexplicably heavier than usual, causing additional pain.

And let’s also not forget the added *psychological* effects of a period. The stigma that it is disgusting, something to hide from or avoid. The way non-period-people treat period-havers. Like we are looking for attention, exaggerating. Or the psychological affect of getting it early and not being prepared, the panic of figuring out what to do because we aren’t always in a convenient situation.

And should we tell these non-period-havers about what happens when we sneeze?

My nightmares consist of me sneezing while on my period.

This 😌

I have been here, multiple times!  By referring to the order as a “Little Rosa”, you don’t have to make as big a deal out of the fact that you’re seeking help.

And believe it or not, it gets better. Rosa’s also gives out sweatshirts to the homeless (or sells them to the general public) that has information on local soup kitchens and even computer training in the area, on an insert sewn inside the sweatshirt.

Reblogged again for these excellent details.

Also you can buy slices for the homeless through their online store, from anywhere, not just PA!

thank you for the comment about buying online! I am in canada but would love to help
