So great they called it Ankh-Morpork

@onlyinankhmorpork / onlyinankhmorpork.tumblr.com

Trending on Twitter in Ankh-Morpork, as its citizens chronicle their daily interactions with the city's many... unique... characters. (Submissions are always welcome!) UPDATE: this basically just a fanblog at this point

Displacement has become a routine part of our lives… We leave tent after tent, searching for a shelter that won’t be bombed, for a corner of safety beyond the reach of warplanes. We no longer mourn the departure itself — we mourn how used to it we’ve become. Each time we leave, it feels like we’re saying goodbye to a piece of ourselves… to our memories, our dignity, our humanity.

Tagging for reach

RTVS PALESTINE FUNDRAISER 2, April 11th - 13th

Beginning Friday the 11th, RTVS will be holding another 3-day weekend fundraising event for the people of Palestine.

It is a tragedy that Palestine is still enduring the same nightmarish conditions that they were this time last year. There has been little to no improvement in things as Israel continues to break ceasefires and block incoming aid as they try and continue their genocide. We would like to once again rally our community and as many others as we can reach to give what support we are able to to Palestine's people.

Like last year, the event will not be a traditional stream fundraiser, rather than pointing people at one donation point, we will be suggesting a number of different recipients for support. However, this year may be organized slightly differently than the way we did it last time; more information regarding that will be shared in the next few days once we confirm our plan. Overall, it's the same idea: all donations to Palestinians and aid groups will be tallied into our grand total for the event.

The all-day, all-weekend streaming event will once again feature a rotation of hosts from Radio TV Solutions putting on all kinds of events. Themed segments, classic segments, crazy gameshow-type beats, chill segments, gaming w/ Da Whole Crew and MORE await you. The event will be hosted at http://stream.rtvsfundraiser.live/. Mark your calendars, tell your friends, and GET READY!

🇵🇸 FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA 🇵🇸

We've confirmed the way we are going to suggest support recipients is not going to change too much, however there is going to be a completely new list as many things have changed in a year.

So, if you know of any GoFundMe's or similar site campaigns for Palestinians that you trust as legitimate, please send an e-mail to info@rtvsfundraiser.live with links and details, and I will add as many as I can to the event document.

Additionally, if you submitted a GFM last year and have updates regarding the state of the campaigns you submitted, please e-mail us! Many of the campaigns supported last year are still ongoing and we would like to feature them again, but it can be difficult to get additional information on the state of the campaign.

Finally, in addition to campaigns - if you have any resources you think would be helpful for us to share or know of legitimate aid groups to support that we were not aware of, don't hesitate to send them to info@rtvsfundraiser.live!!

TOMORROW!!! turn out, donate if you can, spread the word! last year we raised over $120,000 dollars, I would be ecstatic if we get anywhere near that number again this year.

TUBE IT!! FRIDAY @ 3PM EST

it is time... THE ALL WEEKEND LONG PALESTINE FUNDRAISER BEGINS!!!

go to http://rtvsfundraiser.live/ for event schedule, support suggestions, and a link to the donation form!

Today, I survived death once again…

I had only gone out to bring some food for my family, when a missile struck near a charity kitchen. In just a second, I could have been another name on the list of martyrs. We live in tents. No safety, no enough food, no clean water. We die on the way to find a meal… and we die if we go without it.

please please please help out ala!!

Hello, I'd like to ask that you spare Mohammed some money. He's been raising money for his family of 5 since last year, the youngest of which is only 6 years old. Israel's violation of the ceasefire, he once again needs help to be able to afford basic goods for his family.

Vetted by GazaVetters, No. 77 (the fundraiser is in his youngest brother's name)

Donate to the GoFundMe or directly to PayPal

A drone entered his house and directly shot at him yesterday! While Mohammed survived, his little cousin was injured while his neighbour had been killed!

The situation is so dire and there have been so many attacks on the area he is living in and I am very worried for him. Mohammed is only 19 years old! He has 5 siblings, one of whom is blind and his youngest brother Ahmed is only 6 years old!! Please help them!

After a certain point, the only conclusion a Gazan can make is that there is no humanity left in the world.

How can you believe in kindness when your entire world has turned to rubble twice over? When babies are shot down in front of their mothers by turrets? When you are denied the basics of life: food, water, shelter, and denied even the ability to find them yourself. Death becomes all you know. There is no space, no time, no energy left, with which to believe in kindness.

But those not in Gaza, we cannot prove them right. We are still here to stand by the Palestinian people, to fight with them, to stand against barbarity, and for the cause of human life. At least, I think so. Why is it so hard to reblog a post? I do not mean to say you are a bad person, or guilt trip, but I ask you that simple question so that you think about the effort it takes for you to save a life. A movement of your thumb. A microsecond of your day. Does that change anything for you? And even more: do you know how much life is held in €5? An amount that can fall out of your pocket is life-sustaining to the people of Gaza, where gas is €80/kilo, where water is just as expensive as oil.

Ghada Al-Anqar’s campaign sustains the lives of 14 people. The eldest generation, Nabil and Fatima; their children Ghada, Mohamed and his wife, Ahed and his wife, and Khaled, who is engaged; and the children, Fatima, Iman, Nabil, Lama, Amir, and little Noor, who just turned 2.

Noor cries throughout the night as the bombs once again rain over her head and homeland. War is all she knows. But we have an opportunity to show her, to show the Al-Anqars, to show Gaza herself, that the world is with them. Kindness, love, solidarity will prevail.

Every euro counts. Every reblog counts. More than you could possibly ever know. Thank you for your continued support. Let's keep going.

The night the ceasefire collapsed, Hossam’s family lost everything again.

Images: The morning after the ceasefire collapsed, Hossam contacted us to confirm his family was safe, and show us the extent of the damage to his family's tent.
Video: To further validate his story, Hossam sent us the link to an Al-Jazeera news report (LINK) in which he briefly appears around the 0:48 mark.

Story by @rumiandroses

On the night of March 17-18, 2025, as airstrikes rained down across Gaza, the Al-Quzzaz family’s tent was destroyed. Miraculously, Hossam, his wife Hanan, and their four children (Bashar, 9; Hani, 8; Diana, 4; and Habiba, 6 months) all survived unharmed, but many in their displacement camp did not—many men, women and children, innocent lives who had already endured so much, were lost to the violence.

Amid the chaos, the Al-Qazzaz family has clung to their faith and done their best to keep their spirits high. They've sought safety where they can, staying with relatives and mentally preparing themselves for the days ahead as war returns to Gaza. Every day is filled with fear and uncertainty—Just last week, Hanan, went to a local hospital, only for the hospital to be bombed just hours after she left it.

In the aftermath of the airstrikes, Hossam and our founder, Bethany-Grace, discussed sending some of the funds raised so far from the Chuffed campaign she is sponsoring for the Al-Quzzaz family, so that the family could rebuild their shelter. On March 28, we were able to send Hossam $788 (€697.48 after conversion) raised by the Chuffed campaign—enough to start constructing a sturdier, more protective shelter for the family. While this might seem like a significant sum, the blockade of goods into Gaza has caused prices for basic items like food, medicine, and building materials to skyrocket.

Today, because of your kindness, compassion, and generosity, Hossam was able to purchase sturdy building materials and has begun to rebuild the family's tent.

Images: Hossam is beginning to reconstruct the family's tent.

As a direct result of your help, the Al-Quzzaz family will have shelter again. They will be protected from the elements and shielded as much as possible from the dangers that surround them every second of every day.

But the Al-Quzzaz family's journey is far from over. We are still raising funds to help Hossam’s family escape to safety and rebuild their lives.

If you can, please donate. If you cannot, please share—amplifying this family's story plays an important role in helping the family find people who can financially assist.

Your generosity has already helped this family take their first steps toward recovery. Let’s help them move forward.

The Al-Quzzaz family also has their original GoFundMe campaign. Without any stable source of income available, the GoFundMe campaign is used to buy basic necessities like food, clothes, and medical supplies.

The Al-Quzzaz family's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters (#287) and is confirmed on their list of verified fundraising campaigns.

Thanks to you, I am now setting up our tent again. You have overwhelmed me with your kindness and generosity. I am indebted to all of you. To everyone who donated to me and to everyone who shared my posts. I thank you all and I hope that whoever can will donate to us and share our post with everyone. My greetings to you.

My family and I will be able to meet thanks to you, thanks to everyone who donated to us and everyone who participated in our campaign, but my friends, we are now starting from scratch. We were able to set up a new tent, but we do not have mattresses, blankets, clothes, or food. All of them It was burned when our previous tent was bombed, so please donate to us and share our campaign. We trust you. My respect and appreciation to all of you.

While it is great to see people actively organizing and boycotting (e.g: Target for the DEI rollback and 'American' products to go against the tariffs in 'Canada'), we should keep supporting the BDS movement! We should also support families in Ghazzah. The settler colony has restricted aid again! Prices for essentials will inflate!

Please consider donating to Iyad Sobhe and Ruba Abushahan. They are long-time neighbours and friends who consider each other as family. It is up to the point where they share the same fundraiser! It is vital, a lifeline, for 15 family members, including young children and elderly! They have also returned to the North, rebuild their homes, and purchase basic necessities! Remember: You can give as little as $1 since PayPal accepts such amount!

We survived by a miracle. One moment stood between us and death—an explosion, a violent shake, and part of our ceiling collapsing above us. Through the dust and rubble, we realized we were still breathing. We ran outside in terror, only to find our neighbors buried under debris, screams filling the streets.

We don’t know how we’ll survive this. Food is scarce, water is running out, and fear never leaves us. Any help, no matter how small, can save lives. Don’t leave us alone.

Please donate—no food, water, or medicine in Gaza.

Not that it's anything new, but the "voluntary" in "voluntary migration" really drives home the utter shamelessness of the occupation.

They destroy Gazan homes, hospitals, schools, roads, universities, infrastructure, cut off their water and electricity, then when they have no choice but to escape the hell that was created for them, claim they "voluntarily" chose to leave their land behind and have no right to return.

When Nakba deniers claim that Palestinians "chose" to leave their land, remember this.

Amal's baby daughter, Mariam, has known no childhood outside of surviving this genocide. She will soon be of age to attend school. Last we spoke, she had a very close call during the most recent bombardment. If she wants to give her daughter a chance at normalcy, security, education, and a decent childhood, but those options have been taken away from Gaza, is this voluntary migration?

Mahmoud wants to continue his education. He has been able to scrape by through remote learning online, but every day it becomes harder to even find reliable internet access. Last we spoke, he was trying to pay his fees in time, so that he would be allowed to enroll in this semester. If he wants to pursue his degree, but the conditions in Gaza have made that impossible, is this voluntary migration?

Dr. Anas is a cancer patient. His physical and mental health have been obliterated by this genocide. Last we spoke, he told me that after making some recovery during the ceasefire, he's now back to square one. If he wants to live, to continue his job as a doctor, and to recover from depression, which is impossible to do during bombardment, is this voluntary migration?

Samir is severely injured, and in immediate danger of losing his leg. Last we spoke, his sister told me that the bombardment in their area are more intense than they've ever been. If Samir wants to undergo surgery to save his leg, but there are no such options in Gaza, is this voluntary migration?

Please don't abandon them like our administrations have. They shouldn't have to rely on our generosity, but they must.

Donate: Amal, Mahmoud, Anas, Samir

In Gaza, the wounded are killed.

Whoever transmits the news will be killed.

Whoever treats the wounded will be killed.

Whoever rescues people will be killed.

Whoever feeds them will be killed.

Whoever gives them water will be killed.

Whoever does nothing will be killed.

Whoever remains silent about all of this is an accomplice to the killer.

this is horrific, please help out all you can

shayma escaped gaza before the crossing closed and has been struggling to care for her family of 16 in egypt. rent is skyrocketing, and now her brother needs help funding his master's degree. she just lost her childhood friend and her friend's family, she needs support right now.

she didn't ask me to post this, i just wanna show her there's still people out there who care. please help her

This is for the support of Gaza's Municipality Services - which help ensure clean drinking water, waste collection, debri removal and sanitation services - life saving services to run a state - reader I imagine wherever you are or how lacking the municipality services in your city is, it's not worse than Ghazza.

Currently it's only at 11% - please donate -

Please amplify wherever and however you can reader.

This is at 92% and closes in 29 days! I cannot stress how important it is for Gaza's Municipal Authorities to have all the support that they can now.

If you stood beside Gaza during the worst, I hope you will stand with them the same as they rebuild.

This photojournalist's home, too, was reduced to rubble. His campaign is here:

The link was in this tweet of his. Verified, so I don't want to see naysayers try to claim he's a scammer.

[ID: tweet by @/dn_osama_rabee that says “710 martyrs in 50 hours.” /end ID]

The army has announced a ground operation in Gaza. Bombings are everywhere, both on land and in the air. We are being annihilated here, and the whole world is silent.

In two days, the death toll has exceeded 600, most of them women and children.

All crossings are completely closed, there is no food, no drink, no way out of this hell.

We are dying before your eyes. Please, don't leave us alone! Save us, do something in protest, donate, participate.

atp if you're buying badges or in any way giving money to this shithole website, you're supporting and giving money to a violent transmisogynist who has taken down accounts belonging to palestinian and sudanese families who were trying to live by raising money here.

ahmed himself was raising money to help his family. one of his siblings recently had a baby. ahmed was regularly posting to make sure that his family could afford necessities for that baby and staff just nuked his blog. there were so many hate campaigns against him started by prominent and famous accounts here (fuck you badjokesbyjeff). he still stayed here to ensure that he could help his people. i hope all the zionists on this shit site never get a moment of peace.

You can help Ahmed (@90-ghost) and donate to him here

This is Ahmed's post where you can read about his family's situation in his own words

Hello, I hope you and your family are well. Can you please help me recycle the post on my account? 🌺 And help rescue my family from the war in Gaza? 🙏 Thank you.
