they smiled. life was... it was better than it’d been in a long time. and while they still had things to work on- relationships to heal, bridges to mend- they knew now that it was going to be okay. so they smiled, and they laughed, and they hoped for many better tomorrows to come.
*she's semisane today, she pauses in the doorway tapping quickly on her thigh, her eyes dart around the room sometimes pausing at empty areas before they lock to the floor* u-u-um.... H-h-hi
He smiles gently. "Hell-lo, love."
*They lean towards their Sunshine.* 'm 'm tryin.... and and... *They hesitate, pulling thoughts together, to figure out what's off about the dads.* and its okay if if if you're not.*-Heart
they smile gently.
“We're fine, dear, it's over now."
"Y-y-yeah!"
*She looks toward Heart and pulls up a bright smile.* Heart! *She walks to them with a slightly worried expression.* How are you Heart? *She still remembers how they were last them she met them.* - Solar
how how are you holding holding holding up? *They look down at the floor, keeping their hands curled up, just to ground themself.*-Heart
"W-we're good, love!" He smiled, trying to reassure them.
Did you know that Jay-Jay and Mark got engaged? It happened at Jay-Jay's birthday party. He's 20 now. *she chattered excitedly, Crystal relaxed slightly at seeing this* - The Girls
they smiled.
"oh, he did that, then? I'm so proud of them!"
He looks at the bowls and sits next to Patton "or not, seems like the kids have it." He looks at him "yes, I am. Why do you ask?" -Erebus
"J-just wondering. Making sure."
*They uneasily step in, looking a bit dazed, with sunglasses on to protect their eyes from the light, with a blanket around them. But... getting out of their room would help and... the dads could use it. Company, that is. They see Solar, and Eri, but stay closer to the door so they can step out if needed.* um um hey hey dads.-Heart
they both brightened.
“Hello, darling.”
*she sighed and mouthed* 'Proxy. Explain it later.' - Crystal
his eyes hardened for but a split second, and he nodded, putting his bright smile back on.
Yeah, well.. It kept our hands busy. *she seemed to be keeping a close eye on Duck as she handed out the bowls* - The Girls
Neg eyed them both, silently asking Crys if there was anything wrong.
"if you want a hug, then sure." He shifts a bit before frowning a bit "no, let me make you something to eat, okay? You two need to relax" -Erebus
"O-okay, I mean if y-you insist…" he gave a small frown. "You okay?"
*they came in with bowls of cereal, Duck grinned* We made breakfast! *Crystal laughed lightly* We /were/ gonna make a big one, but the kitchen was a disaster area. - The Girls
they grinned and laughed.
“oh, girls, you d-didn't have to!”
Neg laughed.
“We've got our own kitchen, the communal being a disaster is commonplace, at this point.”
*Duck sighed and Crys relaxed* We missed you so much. - The Girls
“We missed you too. So, so much.”
So...you guys up to anything? *She relaxes, playing with the string of golden hair she has.* Have you guys eaten anything? - Solar
"Not r-really…" he sighed. "We'll make something l-later though."
"we did not have to, but we wish to. We already made some for Mal and Miss" he shrugs, unfolding one and wrapping it around the two securely "I have been doing good. Eli and I are doing well, everyone has been doing good at home, although we had a scare with Vi and the others, but they are home and okay-ish." he spoke, fiddling with the quilt a bit -Erebus
“I'm glad that's at least okay-ish now…” he smiled gently.
but then…
Alex? My lovely, my king, I'm okay, we're okay. It's alright now, love, deep breaths…
He looks to Erebus, smiling.
"Wanna h-h-hug, dear?"
*Duck ran over and hugged them both, Crys grinned and followed suit* - The Girls
They hug their children back tightly, securely. They'd missed this.
*She sighs and nods. Her hand traces up to her neck where her neck knife usually is, but soon she realizes it's not there.* Hope everything gets better after this...yeah? *She smiles comfortingly and sits next to them. She looks a lot more mature than last time she visited them.* - Solar
They both smile at the girl, simply glad to have her there.
“Hopefully!”
And usually, Neg isn’t much one for optimism, but he’s really hoping, this time. That this time, it’ll be different, that they’ll heal and maybe be a family again.
