so the situation portrayed in the latest "please don't commit antisemitic hate crimes" psa (that people are calling "zionist propaganda") is something that literally happened to MY SYNAGOGUE during the high holy days last year
but like it's "propaganda" from (((them))) so surely we mass hallucinated it
and like to be clear, for a lot of synagogues and other jewish cultural centers, bomb threats are the norm. it's a regular thing to get threats or feel unsafe because of previous threats or recent attacks (see: the texas hostage crisis from a couple years ago). we have to have armed guards during the high holy days because the risk of violence skyrockets around that time. some synagogues have anti-car barriers up because there have been instances where people have tried to ram their cars into the building. this is real for us. it's not a fucking "distraction", it's our everyday reality.
and this means YOU, yes YOU, Good Leftist Gentile, should maybe start taking us fucking seriously before we have another Tree of Life massacre. maybe start talking about antisemitism outside of complaining about "israel weaponizing it" (barf) and start calling it out in your circles and fucking ousting the absolutely unapologetic antisemites in your circles and MAYBE (just maybe) start treating jews with fucking respect.

They know what they’re doing. They know exactly what they’re doing when they see their users speaking out and nuke them. There is no error or compromise here, this is active malice on staff’s part and they will continue to treat black and trans bloggers like dirt if you just let them.
