Where did you go? Have you given up rp?

Hi! I haven’t given up RP, I’ve just been having a really rough time with university and home life, but I am still RPing :) Sorry this took so long to answer!!

She hated this, hated feeling vulnerable and weak. But her insecurities, built on centuries of loss, bubble to the surface for a reason she couldn't explain. So she simply voiced her thoughts as she leaned against the counter to the side, not wanting to be in the way.
Agatha reached up to cover the hands of the younger woman that was framing her jaw, not looking her in the eye. "I fear I don't deserve you... with everything I've done over the centuries, how could I?"

Wanda offered Agatha a small, sincere, yet still somewhat sad smile, and she shook her head. “Don’t think like that, моја љубав...” Her thumb brushed over Agatha’s cheek. “Everything we do leads us to where we are. Those things put you in a place to help me, and look where that led, hmm?”

After all, Wanda had helped Ultron, helped him get stronger and stronger until she and Pietro turned against him, and Pietro had died. If she hadn’t ever helped him, she might still have him. But then, would she have ever met Agatha?

She needed to dig deep to be noticed, realizing that this form wasn’t strong enough. Her connection to more natural magic was weak. This wasn’t something she’d wanted, being tied to her dark magic even in death... but if meant Wanda seeing her.. if it meant Agatha holding her...
“Let me stay...” She whispered to something beyond her void of magic. Agatha would do anything to stay is some way. The witch shifted to step through her own body, kneeling down beside the the young woman she loved and protected more fiercely than she had her own life.
Agatha let her connection to the Dark Dimension solidify, hated ever second, but it was a sacrifice she would make even in death. She was stronger than this, she knew it, and mustered up enough willpower to cause her form to flicker into existence, settling on a violet hue instead of the grey-blue.
“Wanda...” Agatha finally solid contact, touching the younger woman’s hand softly, wanting her to look at her old mentor and not her still corpse. “Hiya, Hon...”

This didn’t make sense. That brooch couldn’t have moved itself, not in the way it did. So who had moved it? Not the wind, and not Wanda... There were no other magic users there, it had only been herself and Agatha. But Agatha was dead, as much as it hurt Wanda to admit. So who, then, moved the brooch...?

Wanda swallowed hard, looking around. “Agatha, was that you?” she questioned tentatively. She knew that there was something beyond death, though what, she wasn’t certain. Could it be that Agatha was still there with her, and trying to show that to her? Could she truly let herself hope for such a thing?

No answer, and Wanda looked back to the body in her arms, steadily cooling, no signs of life. Another strangled, choked sob came from the witch, and she could feel the break in her chest. Her heart was broken, and she didn’t know if it would ever repair. If she stayed this alone, she doubted it would.

A touch. A hand on hers, violet, and so familiar, accompanied by a voice Wanda would know even in the darkest night. Her head whipped up, and her eyes widened. “Agatha,” she breathed. “How-?” How are you here? is what she wanted to ask, but in the moment, she found her words were suddenly failing her.

Loki initially stared at her, expression searching hers... then he reached out and shook her hand; not knowing how powerful she was, it made no sense to antagonize her unnecessarily straight from their first meeting.
And, he knew the look upon her face, as the God of Lies, he knew it well indeed. A deception so deep that even she herself believed it.
“A neighbour, quite,” he agreed, thinking it best to play along for now, and let go of her hand. “It is a pleasure to meet you, too, Wanda. My name is Loki. I take it you are both new to the area? I’m rather so myself, haven’t been here very long at all.” Layering truths in lies made it all easier to accept. In time, he was sure, the correct way to approach her about what he had seen her do would become clear.
Until then, well, it was a fresh engine of chaos to take a ride upon.
Things were bound to be fun, at least for a while.
“How are you finding it here? Was it everything you were looking for?”

Wanda smiled kindly as she shook Loki’s hand, clearly not thinking anything of the situation at all. Or, at least, if she did think something of it, the thought was buried deep in her mind, and wasn’t going to be coming out very soon.

In fact, it was deep enough in there that she’d have to realise anything was there at all, before she’d realise just what was there.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Loki,” she said, her voice sounding almost identical to the tones and accents used in the 1950s by television sitcom actresses. “We just moved in today, and you know? We absolutely love the area. It’s so peaceful out here! Vis and I moved in from the City, I’m sure you know how that is.” She paused for a moment, as if waiting on something. Then, “I’m afraid he’s run out to the store, but would you like to come in?”

A few things of note that were off so far- One, was that had they just moved in, they shouldn’t be entirely unpacked, though they were. Two, was that Vision had been home when she went to open the door, and in fact she’d even called out to him that she would do that. And finally, three was that in this era, it wouldn’t have been considered very proper for a woman to invite a man into her home when her husband wasn’t there. Neighbours did tend to talk, after all, and that’s something any wife would know. And yet, here Wanda was, allowing all three of those things to happen.

Needs of the Heart

@agxthahxrkness asked:  “I feel as if a link exists between your heart and mine, and should that link be broken, either by distance or by time, then my heart would cease to beat and I would die.“ (agxthahxrkness)

Wanda blinked a few times, before smiling softly and seeming to melt just a bit. “Agatha...” she said softly, and she stepped toward her, completely abandoning the dish she’d been about to put in the oven for their dinner that night. She brought her hands up to cup Agatha’s cheeks, framing her face between her hands. “It won’t be broken,” she promised, shaking her head a little. “I’m not going anywhere, and neither are you. I promise.”

“Things manifest differently for each of us. Some of use are born with it, some of us have it develop... most times that’s due to a traumatic event, like a survival mechanism.” Agatha gave her a shrug and a light sigh, considering the options for the younger woman.
“Darling, I don’t know your story. I haven’t seen your memories, so I can’t say for sure. All I have is a developing theory for you, nothing concrete until I know more. But...” She paused, knowing some things for certain.
“What I can say is that I know all I do because this was seen in me as a child. I had a teacher in the beginning, my Mother, but she stopped once she figured out the nature of my powers.” Her hand came up to the brooch that hung as a necklace from her.
“Why do you think I’m offering to teach you? I’m not scared of the unknown like Mother was.”

Wanda tilted her head a little at Agatha’s suggestions, that she’d developed her powers through a traumatic event. Well, that might not have been so off, considering she knew the time she’d been with Hydra had certainly been far more than simply ‘traumatic’.

But how could she know then, that Hydra hadn’t, in fact, given her the powers she now possessed? The timing of this all seemed to blur the possibilities, and maybe... Well, maybe she just wasn’t meant to know.

“I need to get this straight,” Wanda began, holding up a hand. “You believe I am a witch, that I have an uncommon, unknown power most would be afraid of, but because you also had a power like this, but had no teacher, you want to be sure I do have one, and don’t have to go through what you did?”

If that were all true, and not just on the word of this woman she’d just meant, well... Wanda hated to admit it might just make sense.

Agatha rubbed her back slowly, enjoying the simple feeling of Wanda in her arms. This step had been a hard one to take in it’s own way, but she didn’t regret it. She had gone from teacher to friend... and now something far more. She couldn’t picture any other path after having opened her eyes to it. Fate was something she’d always believed in... and she couldn’t help but think that’s what this all was; Fate.
The older witch smiled at her, pressing another soft kiss to Wanda’s lips after she had finished speaking. “Oh darling, I’ll always be with you one way or another... what matters is that if we are drawn apart... that we always come home.”
Her eyes flicked around the room as she mused over everything. This house had stood for centuries, taking many forms, but all of which felt lonely. “This... finally feels like a home. Like you were the thing I was missing. Centuries of life and it was a stubborn young woman that made a house a home.” She teased lightly as she nuzzled into Wanda’s hair.

Now lying there against Agatha, Wanda realised she really couldn’t have been happier. The fact Agatha had finally taken that step, finally branched off the beaten path and reached out to her, in such a way that Wanda could reciprocate and did reciprocate, brought the young witch more joy than she could have ever imagined finding, especially after the devastating loss of her brother, Pietro. Nothing had been home without him, not until her.

Wanda smiled and returned the kiss, leaning into Agatha happily and wrapping her arms around her securely. “And we will,” she assured her. “No matter how many times we have to say goodbye, we’ll always say hello again.” Her hand moved up to brush through Agatha’s hair.

When she heard Agatha talk about the house they currently laid in finally feeling like a home, she couldn’t help but be amused with the fact she’d just had such similar thoughts. “I was just thinking, I hadn’t felt like I was home until I lost Pietro,” she confessed. “But I do with you, in a different way. It feels like I’ve gone from where I was meant to begin, to where I was meant to be.”

All Agatha could do was watch. She had never felt more powerless in her life as she watched Wanda weep. She forced her astral form to stand on the ground behind the younger witch, reaching out with a transparent blue-grey hand, it went straight through Wanda’s shoulder.
Then the panic set in as the gravity of her own death hit her. “Wanda... Wanda...” She couldn’t hear her. “Wanda!” She was right next to her... and she couldn’t been seen or heard.
Not yet..
That’s what she would have to tell herself.
“I’m right here... right here... please feel something, girl. Anything... I told you I wouldn’t leave you, I’m staying right here...” She tried with her magic, willing it as hard as she could to spark even the slightest in Wanda’s hands. She barely managed it, along with making sure the brooch at her body’s throat fall off her robes and into Wanda’s lap.
She cried... she didn’t even know an astral form could do that.

Wanda felt nothing as Agatha’s hand passed through her shoulder, not even a bit of cold. It was as if Agatha may as well not have been there, for all the effect her astral form was having on Wanda. Instead of responding, she continued to cry, and began to beg.

“Agatha,” she pleaded. “You can’t leave me, I still need you... Please..” Thought after thought of how she might could save this woman, the dark witch she’d come to love so dearly, but she was struggling.

Not one idea was coming to her, but then...

The brooch fell.

Immediately, her attention was drawn to the piece of jewelry, and she reached to pick it up, holding it and turning it over in her hand. How had that fallen off the witch’s clothing, where it had been so securely fixed at her throat? Surely, things like that didn’t just happen, did they? Certainly not without... interference. Wanda looked up.

“Agatha?”

“I’m fine.” She lied, plastering a fake smile on her face. Natasha was still recovering from her vision of the red room that Wanda had given her. The woman didn’t want to mention it, but it had been on her mind a lot lately. “How are you doing?” Natasha knew that Wanda was still adjusting to life in the compound.- Black Widow anon

Wanda lifted her brow, clearly not quite believing her, but still came to sit down near Natasha. "I have... been better," she confessed. "Coming here is strange for me. I haven't ever been part of something like this, and yet, I have also never been this alone, either." Maybe that was a lot to dump on this woman who didn't really know her, but... Well, she had asked.

//okay, then this can take place after age of ultron if that’s fine :)// “hey, Wanda.” Natasha greeted. The redhead looked like she wasn’t feeling too well today.- Black Widow anon

Wanda looked up at Natasha, frowning slightly and tilted her head as she sat down the book she’d been reading, and took a sip of the tea at her side. “Natasha,” she greeted. “Are you alright?”

She didn't feel scared or angry, just calm as she coughed a few times and looked up at Wanda. Her hand was turning completely ashen as she weakly reached up to touch her cheek. "G-good girl..." she manages weakly.
So much was left unsaid, so much she should've said sooner but didn't because she thought she had time. Little did she realize she didn't. So instead Agatha smiled weakly up at her, so proud of her girl.
"S-see you... s-soon... Superstar..." her vision was failing her as she felt her magic protect her. "I l-lov-..."
Everything stopped and Agatha found herself looking down at herself, her unseen Astral form pulling her dark magic from her physical form. She knew Wanda couldn't see her, not yet, and that broke her heart more than the hole in her chest.

Wanda immediately grabbed Agatha’s hand, holding it against her cheek as another sob left her. Her fingers were coated now in Agatha’s blood, from having put her hand over the wound, but Wanda couldn’t care less about that.

All Wanda could bring herself to care about was how she was losing Agatha, how no matter how she begged, she would lose her, and how there was nothing left to be done. Agatha would die, and Wanda would be alone.

“Nie,” she whispered. “Don’t say goodbye, please. Please, no...” She lifted her hand to cup Agatha’s cheek, and then...

She was gone.

A strangled scream fell from Wanda’s lips, and she leaned forward, pulling Agatha’s body into her lap and holding her tightly. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she held her, cried into her hair that still fell over her shoulder. She wished with all her heart she’d gotten a chance to tell her she loved her, too.

Stephen smiled brightly, happy that Wanda accepted his offer.  Inwardly, his muscles relaxed and his mind was at ease.  The chaotic energy within Wanda had decreased to a much safer level since his arrival, and he felt as if he’d diffused a bomb.  A part of him recognized the manipulation at play, but all he wanted was to protect Wanda, the citizens of Westview, and the delicate balance of their reality.  Also, he didn’t need to be Sorcerer Supreme to know Wanda needed support, and if he could provide her with a means to heal, so much the better.
Strange was about to open a portal back to the Sanctum for both of them, but then turned back to Wanda, realizing something.
image
“Oh…your car!  You can bring it back with you, if you want.  The Sanctum does have parking…I think…?”  He said, frowning in curiosity.  If the Sanctum had such a feature, he’d never seen it, but it always seemed to have everything else.
@anavxnger

Wanda managed a small smile when she saw how happy Stephen seemed to be that she was accepting his offer. If nothing else, she did like helping others, making them happy, and it was clearly doing that for the Sorcerer, knowing he was going to be helping her.

Image

“Thank you,” she said, giving him a small nod. “Really.” The young witch wasn’t aware of what she’d just nearly unleashed on this poor, unsuspecting town, what Stephen had just saved them from, but she felt even more like he was sort of saving her- saving her from what exactly, she didn’t know, but she had a sneaking suspicion it was something like drowning.

She turned to go with him, only stopping when he did as well.

His words caused her to turn and look to her car, and she tilted her head, thinking. “Would I have to drive it back to New York?” she asked him. “You could probably make a portal and I could drive it through, right?” Problem solving was good for her. It helped her pull her mind back from the dark places, and this, with her car, was no exception.
