Buildings of The Wasteland

@wastelandbuilds

This is a place to show off buildings and settlements folk have put together in Fallout 4. If you have pictures you want to show feel free to send them to me and I'll post em.

Ana turned Abernathy Farm into Gunner Base 2… Bravo? I dunno, I needa figure out a better way to name them. Howitzer? Barracuda? Stay Away, We Have Big Guns, Part Deux?

Y’know, Ana, I’ve been trying to get away from boxy builds. “I made a box.” Yes, I noticed. “On a box.” Uh huh. “…I want to build a box pyramid next.” Guess I should’a seen that coming.

Dat photobomb tho.

Started a whole new survival-mode game with Ana, who needs to go get her hair color changed in Diamond City before being properly introduced for the Fallout 4 universe. I’ve had this vaguely-rabid daydream about her being from early-1800′s England (think Pride & Prejudice) and somehow winding up with the Gunners in 2287… so that’s what we’re going for here, sorta-kinda.

Being as I’m still not using outside mods (3,998 hours in O.o ), I didn’t do alternate start or any of those options, nor am I using Gunners Overhaul because while I was hyped to find a mod like that, it’s been abandoned and looks too iffy on later-game problems so meh… Ana, all the Gunners in the Commonwealth have rebelled against the chain of command, and it’s your job to wipe them out and set up all new Gunner outposts!

Which brings us to Sanctuary Hills, where after several reloads trying to get non-crappy randomized settler combinations, I got an almost-Seth-clone. Quick, save it! XD He’s a guard now, slightly better geared than in the screenshot but I think I just got level 9 so gear is still pretty poor. Really liking how Gunner Base 1 turned out, and once I get more glass I intend to swap out more of the walls in the sleeping quarters for glass windows. The bottom level of that building is doggo-land, which will get more doghouses once I go rescue more puppers.

Edit: This post got flagged by the auto-censor. :|

Marc’s brand new build for Sunshine Tidings Co-op is a little over the top… but you can’t go wrong with donuts, amirite? I’ve wanted to do a build at that location for a while, and since it was unpopulated in Marc’s game, it now has 5 people, a bot-bot to man the artillery, plus a few doggos and kitties. It’ll do, and it definitely scratched the build-at-the-Co-op itch..

Marc is now level 156 with 529 hours played, and he’s finally out of non-repeatable quests. This is a first for me, and I kind of don’t like it… kills the drive to keep playing that character even though I can happily sandbox for hours while totally ignoring le quest list when it has pending quests. Weird how that works. So now it’s a choice of “actually mod the game to heck for giggles” or “try and do a complete map-and-building explore of the Commonwealth” (since he did that already for Far Harbor and did enough of Nuka World I’m not gonna bother running him all around the desert looking at neon-pink bugged water textures).

Or I could crack Wednesday back out and continue her reign of terror over the Commonwealth. Or I’ll just go play my growing town of OCs over in Sims 4 s’more. Probably that. XD

Nyu was in the neighborhood of Somerville Place, and decided to build it up a bit with some scrap from Vault 95 and the Gunners plaza. The settlement has been literally dead for quite some time, and while she doesn’t currently have plans to populate it with anything, today’s tinkering scratched the build itch well enough. Plus, it’s nice and set up for the journey out into the Glowing Sea, which she is finally going to do for the first time… at level 100. Better late than never?

West Everett Estates, a town built on the ruins of a pre-war housing complex that was never completed, and later occupied by survivors and then super mutants. Now, the first settlement built from the ground up by the Minutemen, just across the river from Taffington, it serves as an example of what can be achieved through co-operation.

Putting this out there so if it happens, I can say I called it:

Bethesda’s E3 conference this year is gonna have two things. One, a new IP, or a new engine, probably Doom 2 as well, and it’ll be a pretty good conference.

Then, at the end, Mr Toddy “Fresh” Howard will come out, right at the end, Billy Mays-ing it “But there’s more that we’ve been working on.”

Then BAM Fallout 3 remaster.

It’s the 10 year anniversary, they’ve been kinda quiet about that, that Capital Wasteland project got shut down (For decent enough reasons if this doesn’t happen) and none of the assets have been released.

I mean obviously there’s no solid evidence, this is pure speculation, but, putting it out there so if it happens, I can be like-

“GOTCHA! YOU AIN’T SLICK!”

Fallout 4 Melee Only build

Steve Irwin voice: "There it is! The mighty Deathclaw! Hide so thick, it deflects bullets! Teeth and claws so big and sharp they rip a person in half with a single swipe! I'm going to whack it with a bat!"
