Ballad of a Fallen Angel
This time of year, always makes me reflective. All around me, I see ghost and ghouls, monsters and demons. They rise to prowl the earth, claiming victims and terrify the population. It’s always this time of year that I begin to miss home more, and my job get so much harder. It sucks because so many of my friends, the people I care about, are demons. And they don’t even know the truth about me. They don’t even know that I’m a fallen angel.
I didn’t start off as one. I was like any other angel. Sitting on high, watching the coming and going of humanity. Time doesn’t count for much for us, so as we watched the progression of the human world, it all seemed to blink by. It seemed like there was no time at all between the time of the dinosaurs reign of this world, to the time where man ruled. Most of us regarded it with something like abject disinterest. But not me. When man came along, my attention was completely caught. I could do little more than marvel at every milestone, every achievement. I spent every moment I had available in observation.
As decades turned to centuries, I could not tear myself away. Every aspect held of their existence held me. But none more so than the way they showed affection, both physical and emotional. The emotions I could understand, could identify with. We were created as embodiment of love, to express it in the divine form. But humans, who’s existence was so fleeting, had found a way to do so that we were simply not capable of between ourselves. I felt drawn to it. I felt a need to see it for myself, to experience it. So I made a decision. I left my home and descended to earth. I kept myself hidden as moved among the world of man. I saw so much, from so close, but it wasn’t enough. I had a need to get even closer. I ended up finding one human in particular, a female, and followed her. Day by day, I learned more and more from and about her. Until that fateful day came. Even now, I don’t know if it was a mistake or part of my own design, but it changed me forever.
She was crossing a busy road, a bit distracted by the daily events of her life. She didn’t see the bus coming and it was going far to fast to stop in time. This would be a tragedy, unless I chose to intervene. And I did. I swooped in at the last moment and scooped her up, whisking her away before she could be killed. She at first looked at me with shock in her eyes, then a kind of awe spread across her face as she realized we were flying.
“Who are you? How are you doing this?”
“I’m an angel. I don’t have a name that your tongue would be able to pronounce. You were about to die, so I moved to save you.”
“Thank you. Where are you taking me? Was I really about to die? How did you know? Were you watching me or something?”
“Please calm yourself. I will explain everything when we get there.”
As we arrived, I could see she was still agitated. I had doubts my words would do much to help her understand, so I did as I would with one of my own kind: I touched her mind. I did the best could to express the breadth of my reasoning to her limited mortal mind. As had always happened to me with humans, she surprised me with a remarkable ability to understand.
“Of all the people walking this world, you chose me for your subject. Why?”
“I’m not sure even I can express it. I just felt a certain draw to you. I hope you don’t think me a, what is your word for it? Stalker?”
“I was raised being told angels watch over us all the time. That we each have one that guards us. I don’t think of you as stalker. You showed me something in my mind, that you wanted to understand physical affection. Well, if this form of yours would allow it, I’d be happy to show you. After all, I do owe you for saving my life.”
I simply nodded as I felt her hand reach for my face, gently bring it to meet hers, pressing her lips to mine. The rush I felt, it was more than I could ever put into words. I folded in my wings and followed her as she kept kissing me, backing up toward the couch, slowly removing my top as she did so. She directed me to sit, and I did so, watching as she removed her own clothing, stripping to her undergarments.
“Now, let’s see how much you angels have in common with us.”
She reached down, opening my pants, taking me in hand and pulling me free. Her eyes expanded and she let out a small gasp as she held it, her fingers not unable to completely grasp it. She smiled, looking into my eyes as she pressed her lips to it, slowly taking it in her mouth. She climbed up onto the couch with me, taking my hand and placing it on her back side, her mouth still engulfing me. As often as I had seen such things from human, to be involved was something else. Physical pleasure was so new to me, I was unsure what to do. I moved my hand a bit, and I felt a certain moisture growing on between her legs.
“May I try this with you as well?”
“Certainly. Let’s just get these off so that you can get a bit more comfortable.”
She removed my shoes and pants and had me lie down. As I did, she positioned herself over my face. I laid there, placing my hands on her, opening her, doing as I had seen so many other humans do. We used our mouths to pleasure each other. Though inexperienced with what I was doing, it seemed all my observation had paid off, as I felt her body shudder and felt a warm rush on my tongue. Something warm and sticky covering my mouth and chin.
“My goodness, you’re a natural at that. But I’m far from done with you. Come with me. We need a bit more room for this.”
She stood, taking my hand, leading me to her bedroom. She laid on the bed, pulling me on top of her, guiding me inside her and wrapping her legs around my waist. The warmth and feeling of her mouth was nowhere near the preparation needed for this. It was wet and tight and seemed to pull me in deeper. Acting on instincts I never knew I had, my hip began moving on their own. I plunged in and out of her, my lips at her breast, suckling hungrily. We both moaned loudly, myself lost in a kind of pleasure my kind never had or possibly were never meant to know. Again, I felt her body quiver and that same warmth seemed to flow from between us.
“You sure you’ve never done this before? That was entirely too good to be a first time. But it doesn’t seem like you’re there quite yet, so let me make sure you feel as good as you’ve made me feel.”
She rolled us over, sitting on top of me, slowly rocking her hips at first. It felt so good, all I could do is hold on. Looking up at her, a moan escaping my lips. She began to move faster and faster, alternating between simply rocking back and forth and bouncing. The pressure inside me, the pleasure she was giving me reached its apex. I released inside her with a long, loud groan, feeling her do the same as she drained me of every ounce.
I laid there for a minute, catching my breath. I wasn’t sure what, I wasn’t sure how, but I knew something had changed. Something was different. I stood slowly and got dressed.
“You know, you look different. Something about you has changed. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is though. Do you think I’ll see you again?”
“I don’t think so. There’s something new. It feels as if I’ve lost something. I don’t think it would be wise to see each other again. I think I need to go home.”
“Okay. I’m sorry to hear that. Will you still keep watch over me?”
“I don’t think I need to. You have a part of me with you now. It will keep you safe.”
With that, I extended my wings and flew away. I never heard what she said next.
“You’re wings, you’re clothes. Why have they started to turn black?”
