Finished this last night! A delightful and intriguing start to what looks to be a pretty incredible series, and very much my type of fantasy comfort reading. See: con women, politics, city racked with inequality, competing faiths and magic systems, great world-building, plots that go in unexpected directions, casual queer folks….

If you were looking for a read-alike for the Daevabad trilogy, you need to look at this one.

I also just read this book and I highly recommend! I loved it! And there’s a charming masked outlaw who goes by The Rook who is a fascinating character

RH has 100% only deleted his social media today because he knows AH are due to stream today and there’s a good chance anyone who didn’t already know is going to find out. There’s another wave of outrage coming.
